There is the baby

"That's fine with me..." They both spoke up at the same time. Meanwhile the doctor nodded and ask them to follow her. Like little children, they both go behind her.

"Please lay down on the bed" She asked Bella. Bella quickly move to the bed anticipating what will happen next. Lucas who was quiet for a while now helped her lay on the bed, arranging pillow for her support.

She looked at him, still no talk. He just grab her hand . Their hands met, fingers intertwining. Her small hand nestled perfectly in his, a sense of security washing over her.

Lucas looked at her, as if to tell her that he is here with her. They were both nervous, the result can be anything. It can either confirm the tests which came out positive earlier or can deny any possibility of them becoming parents.

They looked at the doctor who started the procedure.... connecting the device, applying gel on her abdomen and all. This slimy substance is warm though.

The machine turned on diverting her attention from the slippery thing. The doctor positioned the device finding any clue for a possible life there. All the eyes were glued on the screen.

If someone has told her she will be here today doing an ultrasound to confirm whether she is pregnant or not, she would have probably laughed it off. Not giving a damn about that non sense talk. But now she is here....crazy right.

She can't take it anymore. The weight of the moment pressed down on her, making her eyes welled up. A single tear threatened to spill, hanging precariously at the edge of her lashes.

She looked at him who was looking straight at the screen. Is he also feeling the same as me? Is he also nervous? Her grip on his hand tightened successfully distracting him from looking at the display.

He frowned as if to ask her what it is. He was trying so hard not to break down, to show how nerve wrecking this moment is. He is anxious as hell but still stood straight. Her head shook indicating nothing is wrong.

They both continued to look at each other, without saying anything. Just staring at each other. Her eyes had that effect on him....they actually made him calm everytime he looks into them.

Like that night, he got so angry when he heard the news of having a mole in his gang. He just wanted to drown himself in alcohol but her company made him calm. He feels at ease when he looked in them.

The doctor's word interrupted their peaceful silence. "Found it." She said cheerfully. "There is the baby. Can you see it?" She asked them pointing her fingers on the screen.

He was the first one to avert his gaze and look at the monitor. He gasp slowly at the sight before him. His mouth gaped open enough to allow a fly to enter inside. But he was damn sure he wouldn't care about that right now.

This looks unreal.... everything seems like a dream. He is having a child with a woman whom he knew for not more than a month. But it seems like he can't control his emotions now. This is too overwhelming for him.
