Is he checking me out

She turned around and found Lucas standing at the door with his arms crossed over his chest. He was leaning against the entrance, but his slant figure was still taller than her.

His biceps were flexing under his coat. She suddenly remembered the way his muscular arms were wrapped around her tiny body when he comforted her. Her body was totally covered by his big one.

Tiny blush crept over her cheeks and and she flushed profusely when she met his gaze. He was looking straight into her eyes.

Did he just caught me staring at him? Wait why I'm staring at him?~ Because he is hot~a voice reasoned out from inside. She looked at him again and find him still looking at her.

Wait is he now checking me out? She coughed slightly and he nearly staggered. After gaining his balance back, he moved near her and stand in front of her.

Lucas: See I told you.... Everything will be fine in the end.

Bella nodded and looked at him intently. Now that Rachel is fine, she can focus on other things. The most obvious one was why he is still there. Isn't usually businessmen are all busy. Time is money for them you know?

Bella: Mr. Costanzo.

Lucas: Lucas for you.

Bella: Mr. Lucas.

Lucas: Just Lucas. Ok?

Bella: Okay Lucas. I was wondering why did you wait for the surgery to end with me? I mean you are such a big figure so you might be quite busy, right?

This question caught Lucas off-guard. He himself just realised that he is here...in the hospital... instead of attending a meeting. He sighed thinking the meeting time already passed an hour ago. Why is he waiting here?

Is it because I saw her crying or is it because of Rachel? Yeah it is definitely because of that little girl. I mean... I didn't leave because I saw Bella crying, right? It must be because I wanted to meet Rachel.

Lucas: I was just worried about Rachel. Besides I'm free today so yeah...I thought to check up on her. But she was already taken to surgery when I got here, so I decided to wait for her surgery to be over.

Bella made an 'O' face in understanding.

Lucas: If you don't mind,I want to ask you something.

Bella: What is it?

Lucas: How come you have a daughter because i remember that night you were a virgin.

Lucas already knew about the adoption thing. But he wanted to know why he adopted her at such a young age.

Meanwhile Bella knew this question will be asked sooner or later....after all he was the one who took her first time. Oh god remembering it is making me blush? No Bella calm down....

Lucas: Sorry if I asked too much about your personal life. You don't need to answer my question.

Bella: It's not like that..... I adopted her. She is not my real daughter. The story is quite long though.
