Worry

"Wow." She screamed excitedly sitting on Jane. "So you actually approached him and you made the first move uhn. I see you've become so brave now." She pinched her both cheeks.

"Jeez Lisa, stop it. Get off me."

"Oh my. My little wormio is actually getting herself a boyfriend now." She bit her lower lip in excitement.

"Tsk, stupid Lisa. Now get off me." She said pushing Lisa lying flat on the bed while she sat on it. "I'm not going to be his girlfriend if I don't pass the test you know. And don't be so excited like I'm about getting married."

"Hahaha, all you have to do is to attend the party right? Isn't that the test?"

"Yes. But how is attending a ball party going to be part of my test. That's what I don't understand Lisa." She got up from the bed galivanting back and forth in the room. "What is he planning to do? Is he planning on making fun of me? A girl like me had the guts to approach him? What the heck was I thinking when I said that? How did those words escape my mouth for crying out loud." She cried out as she kept walking around in the room and she paused. "If..... if he does such a thing, what... what will happen to me, and my dad and grandma. Oh God, what the heck did I get myself into. Stupid, stupid me. I wish I never said that." She said in frustration hitting her forehead with her palms.

Lisa just sat down there watching Jane talking and hitting herself before she spoke. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk, calm down Jane. I'm sure he wouldn't do something like that. He Uhm, doesn't look like such a guy to me you know."

"Yes Lisa, that's the major problem. He doesn't look like that, but....but what if he's actually like that. What if he can do such a thing or even worse. I mean, they don't actually write the minds of people on the faces right." She started gallivanting as worried expression etch on her face and spoke after a long pause. "What if he's planning to....." She halted her steps as a thought rang in her head and her eyes opened wide. "What if he wants to get back at us through me. I mean for what happened at the wedding anniversary party. For what happened to his brother. You know it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't because of me right." She spoke without blinking an eye.

Lisa's body went paralyzed in utter shock. She knew she might be right somehow. Was he planning to do something like that to her friend? She thought to herself. He doesn't look like that since the first day she approached him. But.....

"No Jane." She said cutting off the silly thought in her head. "He can't do such a thing to you."

"How.....how sure are you?"

Lisa sighed and walked up to her and held her shoulders firmly. "I know you have the right to think about those things. I mean, all these things happen a lot especially in school, and I don't blame you for thinking such a thing and reacting like this. But trust me on this when I say he's not going to do such a thing, so don't worry."

"But....."

"I can feel it Jane. I just feel it deep within me that he's not going to do such thing." She said in a calm voice.

"But, how can you be so sure."

"I don't know, but I'm sure. I'm very sure."

She pulled her in for a hug and rubbed her back as if coaxing her.

"Don't worry. You'll be fine, I assure you. Trust me on this."

"Goodness Lisa." She said hugging her tightly. "You're the best I could ever ask for. Thank you. I really don't know what I'd do or what I would have become if you hadn't been by my side all these years."

She pulled her away from the hug and smiled at her lovingly. "You're also the best Jane." She said cupping her face. "And I'm happy that we're bestfriends. Now, stop worrying so much. Let's go shower so I'll prepare you for your big day tomorrow."

"It's not my wedding Lisa." She said her voice a bit annoyed from what Lisa said.

"Hahaha, I know. It's still your big day."

"Arrrgh..." she rolled her eyes. "Fine."

They undressed and headed to the shower.
