Surprised

Hands were still jamming for them when their children walked up to the stage one after the other and congratulated them. They were five in numbers. The girl came up first followed by the rest of them. Jane stopped clapping as her eyes caught sight of the last one stepping up to the stage majestically. The crowds were also bewildered.

She couldn't stop gaping at the last one walking graciously to the stage. 'Where the hell did this man came from?' She asked within herself.

The man before her eyes was extremy handsome. No handsome was a complete understatement. She hadn't laid eyes on such a person all her life. She was sure that he surpasses everybody she has ever laid eyes on. Any celebrity, and any other person claiming to be handsome. His dark hair was combed backwards. He was tall. Had a strong defined masculine jaw line. His dark eyes, his broad shoulders, his thin lips, his nose, his long lashes and every other part of him were perfection in her eyes. 'How can a man like this be in existence?' She thought. The stunning handsome creature was beyond anything imaginable.

Jane and some of the crowds in the hall couldn't stop glaring at him. All her life, she had never laid eyes on a man that look this breathtaking. Is he from this planet earth? Or is he a human being?

She couldn't get her eyes off him and thoughts were running wild in her mind. Lisa shook her a little using her shoulders.

"You like him?" She asked smirking.

"Uhn...." She said as she turned to Lisa. "N..no, no. I'm just.. I'm just taken away by surprise. I mean, I... He's so handsome, and well.... I haven't seen any guy like him all my life."

"So you like him uhn?" She bit her lower lips and smiled even wider.

"N...no, Lisa. No. He's just handsome. Breathtakingly type of handsome." She said as she gazed back at the man.

"Hmm, yes he is." Lisa said staring at the handsome man "But unfortunately for my dear friend, she had to cancel the date she had with him. Tsk, tsk tsk. Such a bad luck." She said shaking her head.

Jane immediately whipped her head from the young man to Lisa. She stared at Lisa for a while with questions written all over her face. "Can...cancel? Date?" She said as she stuttered a little.

Lisa looked at her and raised a brow giving her the 'seriously, have you forgotten' kind of expression.

She remembered Lisa talking about going out on a date with a rich handsome guy few days back. Her eyes widened in shock. "Is....Is he the...."

"Yes Jane." She said as she stared back at her.

Jane stared at the handsome man and back at her friend. "Are...Are you lying..?"

"I'm not Jane," she smiled. "He's really the one I told you about the other day."

Her eyes blinked a few times trying to digest what she just heard. Shock was written all over her face, and she felt like the cat just cut her tongue.

'Someone please take me out of here'. She cried inwardly. Her body didn't know how to react what she was feeling inside her. She was having a mixed feeling and her heart beating widely inside her chest. 'This is too good to be true.' She thought again.

"Are you sure Lisa? Weren't you drunk?"

She asked because knowing her best friend Lisa, she wouldn't just say anything like that. Even if she liked pranking her, she always tells the truth, and isn't afraid if the truth hurts anyone or not.

Lisa chuckled a little. "Drunk uhn? Haha, I wasn't my dear friend. I am certainly one hundred percent sure that he's the one and I'm not lying to you."

Jane glared back at the young handsome man walking out from the stage with his family following along.

"Are you surprised?" Lisa asked noticing that her friend just can't believe what she had heard from her earlier.

She didn't know what to answer or how to answer Lisa's question. Everything she saw and what she heard from her bestie were just too unbelievable.

Everyone had their seats when the lovely couples and their children took their sit. Questions and shock were also written on the crowd's face.
