Long Night

"I don't want to push through with the operation now. I mean... " She paused looking at the devastating look in his eyes. "I think the doctors can spare some time. I still don't know how the operation will end up. We don't know the end result. I just want to spend some days with you and my family, even if it'll be the last. That's what I want."

He kissed her forehead. "Anything you want wife."

Still in that her weakened condition, she can't help but blush.

"I'll speak with the doctors to see what they can do." She nodded and he left.

She remembered how her family begged her to go through with the operation. Her grandma and her dad looked devastated when she told them she doesn't want to push through with the operation again. It took them quite sometime for them to accept her decision. And here she was. Just a little plea from the man she loves so much, she was handcuffed to surrender. Just like they say, love can turn even the most strongest person to a little child. Love makes a person not to think right sometimes. It can turn the most strong hearted person into a soft heart. Love is beyond love. From her own experience, no one or even her can actually define love - the depth of love itself.

"Oh Jane." He grandma came crying to her the moment she opened the door. "I can't tell you how happy I am." She managed to smile while crying.

Francis had already broken the news to them about her changing her mind to push through with the operation. Tears of joy rolled down from her grandma's eyes. No works could process out of her mouth of how happy she was at the moment. She had tried convincing Jane to go through with the operation, but Jane stubbornly refused for the fear that she might not come out back alive. And except from that, her family has spent a lot of money including her life time savings for her chemotherapy sessions, operations and many other things. She didn't wanted to bug them anymore. She also felt like she has no reasons to live cause she has always felt like a curse. But now, even if she did feel like that sometimes, she has found a reason to keep breathing. And she only wants to breathe knowing that he'll be by her side forever.

Her dad came and hugged her lightly, not to cause anything. "Thank you cupcake. You don't know how happy I am." He sounded so emotional.

"It's nothing dad."

"Thank you dear for agreeing to pursue with the operation." He grandma spoke. She was just too emotional and happy about Jane changing her mind.

She smiled at her dad and her grandma.

"They'll be moving you to the VIP room." Kevin spoke the moment he stepped in.

They nodded, knowing that it was already Francis doings.

"What about Francis?" Jane asked Kevin.

"He just finished speaking with the doctors. He'll be with you sooner or later."

"Okay."

The nurses came in and rolled her way to the VIP room. To Jane, the night seemed to be unending. A lot of things has happened in just one day. Lisa's news about her going to the States, Felix confession, Francis sudden appearance in the middle of Felix confession, and now the accident. Right now, all she wants is to be with her family and the love of her life. The doctors has told her earlier that the operation will be scheduled in the next two days. That was the only possible time they can spare for her. She only got the following day to spend time with them.

Knowing that she'll be doing fine and he'll be around to assist her out whenever something pops up, her parents left promising to come visit her the following day. And they also felt that the two love birds needed the privacy. She felt really alone now. A lot of things kept playing in her head. So many things has happened in just few days. From the moment Lisa left, nothing ever seemed to fall in place anymore. Speaking of Lisa, she has told herself that she'll try getting in touched with Lisa the moment all this is over. Maybe after her operation.

"Wife." Francis called jolting her back to the present.

She smiled seeing him approaching her.

"It's time to go to bed now." He spoke laying a kiss on her forehead.

Since it was a VIP room, the bed was big enough to contain the both of them. It was already really late. It'll just be few hours away for the sun to kiss the earth welcoming everyone to a beautiful day.

Without wasting much time, he got on the bed beside her and gently placed her on his chest. In no time, she dozed off.
