He stared at the young girl blankly.
"The show will be incomplete without the adults partaking in it. Please Mr handsome. We can spare sometime for you to rehearse your part. Today's also my birthday. Please do this for me as a birthday gift."
The rest children ran and stood before him, pleading with cute puppy eyes. "Please Mr handsome. Please...." Some were also tugging his coat.
He sighed and smiled, staring at the six year old. "If that's what makes you happy birthday girl. I'll do it."
"Yay...." The children jumped and rejoiced in excitement. They hugged him. "Thank you so much Mr handsome." They screamed in unity.
Jane's eyes rained down tears of joy, seeing the emotional scene displaying before her. Everyone felt happy now and a big smile slammed on their faces.
"Okay now. It's time for the show. Where are the dancers?" Lisa spoke also souning really excited.
The dancers got in a line, and in few minutes after a lady have introduced herself and the show to the audience, they went to the stage and showed the world what they were made of. Lisa and the other guardians helped the other kids to get ready, while Jane handed the script to Francis.
"Can you do this? I mean, if you feel so uncomfortable doing this, then...."
He poked her nose. "Why is there a hugging scene instead of a kissing scene. It would have been better off that way." He winked at her sexily.
Jane blushed. "They'll be children also watching the show. So we have to respect that."
"I see..." Nodding his head.
"Do you still want to push through with it?"
"Little tigress." He called her that name to tease her. "I think you should go help the children over there, or else..." he leaned closer to her, "we might really do it right here and now." His hot breath sending down chills all through her body.
Jane's cheeks burnt in embarrassment. He smirked, staring at how embarrassed she had become.
"Gosh. Fine. I'll go. I'll be back in few minutes." She said, about to leave, but he caught her hand stopping her from taking further steps.
"A kiss?" His look and his voice were so damned sexy.
Her warm lips captured his, and they kissed shortly. He finally let go of her.
Few minutes to the adult show, a loud scream echoed in the ears of everyone causing everybody to draw their attention to where the scream came from.
"Oh my goodness. Are you okay?" Jane, Lisa and the rest adults ran to her.
It was the six year old girl. She had sprained her ankle from falling down from a chair. She started crying.
"Aunt Jane, aunt Lisa, it hurt a lot." She cried more. Her leg had also gotten swollen a little.
"Come. We'll take you to the hospital." Ms Margaret spoke, scooping her in his arms.
"Aunt Jane, please come with me. I'm really scared. Please...." She pleaded with tears in her eyes.
Lisa gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's fine. I'll take care of everything here. She needs you more than ever now." She spoke in a reassuring tone.
Jane hugged her. "Thank you bunny."
Her lips lengthened. "Anytime..." and turned to the crying child that was scooped in Margaret's hand. "Be strong okay. I'll give you lots and lots of chocolate if you don't cry anymore." She said trying to coax the child to make her feel better.
The child smiled and suddenly screamed in more pain. Jane and Lisa nodded at each other. Ms Margaret and Jane hurried outside to take her to the hospital.
"Will she be alright aunt Lisa." A child asked.
She squatted down and hugged the child, whose tears were already dripping down. "Shu..... Don't cry...." Gently rubbing her back. "It's okay now. She'll be fine if you don't cry. If you keep on crying, her injury will only worsen. Do you want that to happen to her?"
The crying child shook her head. "No..."
She pulled her away from the hug and wiped away her tears. "Don't cry anymore okay. Be a strong girl for your friend. Just promise you won't cry anymore."
The child wiped away the remnants of tears in her eyes and sniffed. "I won't. She needs me to be strong for her more than ever. I promise I won't cry again."
"Good girl."
"Ma'am Lisa." A voice called out. "You're up next."
She nodded and placed a kiss on the child's forehead. "Stay strong okay."
The child nodded at her and she left. Shortly, Francis came and stood beside her at the entrance leading to the stage. He was already putting on his costume.
"Guess we'll be the one doing this then." She said not averting her gaze from the stage. A sigh could only escape her lips as he didn't speak a word to her. "Good luck then."
When they had noticed that the stage had darkened, Lisa stepped out.
