Negotiation

Yixing was woken up by a phone call. So he, half-dead, was gabbling around for the phone, just to accidentally throw it down from the bed. He grunted and lazily reached down for it. His body was half hanging out of the bed, but he stayed like that and answered the phone.

"Hmm, Li here," he grunted because he didn't look who it was. And if it was some spam call, he would definitely strike back that they had woken up. But to his bad luck, it wasn't.

"Is this how you greet your father?" An annoying voice appeared on the other side of the phone. It made Yixing look at the screen and roll his eyes because it was really his father.

"Yes, you are calling, so what do you need again?" He wasn't exactly a pleasant person right after waking up and it took him a really long time to wake up.

"You disrespectful brat! I'm your father, speak to me like that." His father sounded a lot louder, meaning he was getting mad.

"I will respect you if you start behaving towards me like I'm your son. Not your employee." Yixing smirked. He was too long with Yitian and Chao that he forgot to be afraid of his father.

"I guess you haven't starved yet. You still breathe and you didn't crawl back. I guess you have found some woman to feed you. I hope you don't do a sloppy job and not put shame on our family." Yixing had enough, and he was far away from his fist, so he talked back with ease.

"Well, being the disgrace full of scandals in our family is your job. Not mine. So, I'm okay. And no I don't have a woman. It's a guy. So, you were calling because?" Yixing really wanted to go back to sleep. He still had a few hours before they had the sparring match with Lan da hai.

Chao told them all to rest and relax themselves after they had trained last night for a really long time. Shanshan would come later again to join them.

The problem was Huobai. That idiot disappeared and wouldn't talk to Yixing at all. Luckily, he came every day to the game and played together with them.

But a few days ago he stopped even that. And that scared Yixing a lot. And he wasn't alone. Yitian was visibly distracted and worried, and even Chao, who was disinterested, looked a bit concerned.

"I need you to attend every family event that is public. SO we will visit your mother's grave soon," his father said and managed to completely wake up Yixing.

He quickly pushed himself up and sat on the bed. He couldn't believe his own ears, what he was hearing. His father had never visited his mother's grave. Or more like in the last ten years he hadn't.

"What did you just say? You want to visit her grave? Are you sure her ghost won't haunt you?" He was still half asleep, definitely. Because he had no idea why he was being this stupid when he would have to meet him pretty soon.

"Keep your mouth shut! We are doing an interview, the entire family. Your mother and brother will be there too." The what?! His what?! Yixing was in awe. His father was really stupid.

"You have a new family. Why do you need me?" He poked once more and Yixing could hear his father's teeth-gritting.

"You are still my son!" he yelled. If Yixing didn't know why, he was doing that. That he would need his help, or someone was definitely near him. Otherwise, he would never say it himself. And not at all to Yixing.

"So, let's summarize it. You need me to drop at all those events, to appear as a loving kind family. And the first thing I need to do with you is to go to my mother's grave. The same woman you never cared about and you hadn't visited her grave in like ten years?!" Yixing stopped himself for a while because he couldn't believe what he was saying.

It sounded even worse when he summarized it like this. And his father probably realized it too, because he was silent too.

"What will I get from that?" Yixing calmed down, thinking, assessing the situation. He had an upper hand in this. Because his father needed him to show off. And if he didn't want to, Li Yechao would be fricked.

"I will unfreeze all of your cards…" Yechao said, and Yixing just chuckled.

"You do think I don't have enough money now? I have my sugar daddy that will give me any amount I want." Yixing could help himself, he just had to.

"You don't have to boast about your disgusting orientation to me. I hope he will at least buy a car from me." Yep, this was Li Yechao. But Yixing thought that his reaction would be worse. It disappointed him a bit.

"I want a car, the newest one. And money. Then you will pay me with every event and the amount will be counted by my time having to pretend to be filial son to you," Yixing said and did not wait for an answer and he just hung up on him and laid back on the bed.

He spread his arms, thinking about what he just did. Of course, he had to agree. He promised his mother to be a filial son, but this was sucking too much energy from him.

And some of you might say he was stupid for wanting money. But they needed all the money they could get. So he would gladly rob his own father like this.

Yixing looked at the phone and saw that he still had a few hours before he had to wake up, even to be early. She threw the phone on the side of the bed again and closed his eyes once more.

He was just too tired. He needed to play with Chao and then do some work for both of his departments. And it was exhausting him a bit more together with all that happened now. He was just mentally exhausted more than physically.

Just as he was about to drift into sleep, his phone started ringing once more. He swore and then searched for the phone once again. Firmly decided that whoever it was, he would just turn off the ringing and put the sounds on silent.

But when he took the phone and looked at the screen. Yixing was a bit stunned. The phone screen said one name that he would take whenever that person would be calling.

"Hello," he picked up, with his voice hoarse.

"I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" he asked and Yixing's mouth fell open. The voice that spoke to him was warm, friendly, and not pissed at all.

"No you can talk, I'm okay." Yixing pulled himself more into a sitting position and covered himself with the blanket.

"I want to talk to you about something," Huobai said and Yixing nodded. Yes, they needed to talk.
