CHAPTER 27: FIRE AND DARKNESS

[DARKNESS TECHNIQUE: CALM OF THE NIGHT]

For the first time since he became a hunter, Kyo used another technique other than his fire and this is the direct opposite of his fire as the darkness was cold and eerie.

The ability to create absolute darkness and manipulate anything within the vast array of such nothingness only able to sense his opponents via qi manipulation.

Kyo sought to use this ability to suck out Benimaru's flames, he was successful in doing this but the darkness which he brought upon the province made Rin and Ino feel weaker, Tekashi as well. He felt that three people were still standing strong.

<What?!, How come they're three?>

Kyo felt a sense of urgency and tried to locate the third person who was seemingly a bigger threat than even Benimaru.

The only people who he was able to get a hold of were Benimaru and Liu Xhang who's qi was still going strong but the third one just disappeared and Kyo looked around in shock.

"Darkness heed your king and disperse"

The entire area was filled with light once again and someone else was seen standing close to Benimaru, the man was dressed in a black blazer and putting on a mask. Benimaru laughed his heart out as he saw the person standing beside him.

(Kyo!, That's the Shadow Emperor)

Azazel spoke to him with a hint of fear as the Angel felt that since he wasn't at full strength he wouldn't be able to take on Ryuguji Han who is currently at full power and he was the man who was able to stand toe to toe with The Angel of death.

<So that's the one who killed Dracula?, It seems he's here to help my enemy>

Kyo said with a look of determination as fear was no longer an option to him.

(Don't be a fool, if you go after him you'll die!)

Azazel shouted at the top of his voice but Kyo thought it was better to end any accomplice of Benimaru. He charged straight ahead with his sword.

Khaack!!!

Kyo fell to his knees immediately as Ryuguji Han released his tremendous aura which put even Liu Xhang's to shame, the Emperor of Shadows walked towards Kyo and looked at him with pitiful eyes. He kicked the young lad so hard that he crashed into an ambulance that was 400 metres away from them.

Before Kyo was able to get up Han was already in front of him. He felt an immense fear which he hadn't felt before, he looked at his opponent who seemed like an immovable object and a force that could not be beaten.

[Back at the hotel area]

"That kid is as good as dead"

Benimaru said with a hint if happiness in his voice as he seemed to be enjoying how everything was playing out.

'He won't die, I know he will survive.'

Tekashi said with an angry yet determined look on his face. He charged at Benimaru who created a wall of fire in front of him so Tekashi couldn't pass but the hunter just ignored the danger and jumped through the flames simultaneously healing the injuries he received from them.

Benimaru was shocked as he saw Tekashi jump through the flames and punch him on the face which sent him flying into the building, he charged right back with a punch of his own which Tekashi blocked with his forearm, the shockwave was so great that the hotel building collapsed to the ground.

At that point Hunters from the United States Hunter Association were arriving to provide backup as the destruction was getting too great and citizens were dying.

"Get close to the hotel and aid the others, I'm staying here with this one, his aura seems menacing"

Jack Seeman, an S-rank hunter from the United States Hunter Association spoke to the other hunters who accompanied him to the location of the disaster.

The other hunters ran in leaving Jack with Kyo and Han, Han looked at the intruder who stood in their midst, he ran towards Jackwhi was shocked at the villain's speed.

"You're still too weak"

Ryuguji Han stated with no emotion at all, he face palmed Jack and sent him head first into the ground making him spit out in agony.

'Is this what this kid is facing alone?.'

Jack felt fear like never before, he felt that he had been cocky and overconfident in his abilities as he had sent all the other hunters to the location of the bigger disaster where people were dying but in this place just this man's aura was able to make normal people go unconscious.

Kyo looked at the Shadow Emperor beat down on an S-rank hunter who seemed stronger than him, he got up and stood tall, causing Ryuguji Han to turn around and shift his focus to him.

<I'm gonna kill you, even if it kills me>

"A messenger of death cannot be killed by a being like you, your weakness is like a contagious disease, fighting you would make me look weak to the others and bring a bad name to Lady Azrael and that I wouldn't want"

"All of you here are weak, the only one who shows promise is Benimaru, you guys on the other hand have no notable strength whatsoever and you guys don not have any potential to grow"

Ryuguji Han spoke with an expressionless face and an emotionless voice, he stood tall in front of Kyo and with an aura that could kill normal heroes.

[EMEREGE, MESSENGERS OF DEATH]

Ryuguji Han's shadow dispersed raising a lot shadows, these are the soldiers of Azrael who she made to be her task force.

"These are the foot soldiers of Lady Azrael and they will be the ones who end you and the weakness that runs through this world"

Kyo stood and looked at what seemed like an endless array of shadow soldiers and he showed not an iota of concern.
