Dragon God, with fierce determination and calculated precision, continued his relentless assault on the Cthulhu. His punches, though filled with fervor and fury, were carefully controlled to minimize collateral damage to the dragons on the ground.
He was trying his best to keep the Cthulhu engaged while at the same time giving the dragons who were not captured by the tentacles, a chance to escape through the realm door and into the galaxy.
He understood the gravity of the situation - the entire dragon race was present for a grand celebration, after eagerly awaiting his return from the Colossal Dungeon. Devastation would be inevitable if they were all wiped out.
No one expected something like this to happen. He knew that if all of them got killed. Then it's game over for the dragon race.
With all these running through his mind, Dragon God's eyes gleamed dangerously, as he punched with much vigor and fury.
Boom-!!!
As Dragon God's fists clashed with the Cthulhu, a resounding boom echoed through the air.
However, the tables turned when a massive tentacle, sprouting from the Cthulhu's grotesque tentacles-beard, delivered a powerful smack to the Dragon God's body. The impact launched him through the sky like a cannonball, hurtling towards the ground with alarming speed - the Cthulhu laughing maniacally as it witnessed this sight.
Trepidation filled the hearts of the watching dragons as they witnessed the horrifying sight. Dragon God crashed into his fellow dragons below, the force of the impact instantly snuffing out their lives. The ground quivered beneath their broken and mangled bodies, forming a deep crater that served as a grim reminder of the battle's brutality.
But against all odds, Dragon God clawed his way out of the hole, rising to the surface once more. His humanoid dragon scales bore the scars of countless scratches, while his entire being was drenched in the hot blood of his fallen comrades. Mangled bits of red dragon flesh clung to him, a gruesome testament to the viciousness of the ongoing conflict.
Despite his injuries, his brooding anger could be seen through the trickling blood from his lips as he fixated his gaze on the laughing Cthulhu, fully aware of the creature's manipulative tactics.
The Cthulhu had been toying with him this whole time. He had smacked him in this direction on purpose.
Dragon God gritted his teeth and clenched his fists in anger.
In that pivotal moment, Dragon God made a crucial decision - he would go all out.
His eyes gleamed with a dangerous intensity as he ascended, meeting the hovering Cthulhu in mid-air. A surge of power coursed through his veins, causing his body to grow exponentially into a towering dragonoid. Although still smaller in size compared to Cthulhu, Dragon God paid no heed to the difference.
From his outstretched hand, thick black smoke billowed, coalescing into a sinister phantom dragon looming behind him. With unwavering determination, he threw a devastating punch aimed directly at the Cthulhu above, as if intent on shattering the very fabric of the sky.
"Toxic Dragon Punch!"
As he struck, the black misty energy surrounding his fist surged upward.
The sheer intensity of the attack made the Cthulhu's eyes twitch, realization dawning upon the Colossal creature. Dragon God was proving to be a true threat, one that the Cthulhu had underestimated.
A colossal blob of water encased its own fist, preparing to intercept the incoming punch. A sinister aura emanated from the water, anticipating the clash between the two forces.
Yet, just before impact, the black cloud from the punch transformed into the shape of a fearsome black dragon. Shock filled the Cthulhu's eyes as it witnessed the unexpected turn of events. Instead of intercepting the attack as intended, the blob of water passed through the phantom dragon without resistance
"Toxic Dragon... impossible!" The Cthulhu exclaimed, the realization hitting it like a tidal wave.
Making a split-second decision, Dragon God created a bubble-like shield made of sinister water, encasing him like an egg. The sound of the explosion reverberated through the realm as the black misty dragon snapped its maw at the water shield, creating a booming sound that echoed in the skies. A giant mushroom cloud erupted in the exact spot where the Cthulhu had been hovering moments ago.
Though protected by the shield, the spirit's face displayed utter shock, unable to help but feel the ravenous consumption of his water bubble by the encroaching black cloud. Within seconds, his shield vaporized completely, followed immediately by his own annihilation. His regeneration ability is something he is extremely proud of. But within the strange black cloud, he couldn't even heal!
In a blinding flash, he managed to escape the destruction, his speed defying the limitations of his colossal size. Breathing heavily, Dragon God surveyed the aftermath. His once shiny black scales were now marred, looking more disgusting than ever. Corroded flesh and skin gave the appearance of having dipped into a highly reactive and concentrated acid. It was clear that had he lingered for but a moment longer in the black cloud, his body would have been corroded beyond repair. Death would have been inevitable.
Fortunately, he had escaped, and his healing abilities, seemingly invigorated, began to combat the remaining traces of the small black mist clinging to him. Soon, he was restored to his original state, ready to face the next onslaught. Looking downward, he noticed a barrage of black misty phantoms hurtling toward him.
This time, he knew better than to underestimate Dragon God.
Agilely dodging each attack, the Cthulhu could not help but utter disbelief, "You killed a toxic Dragon, how?"
Dragon God remained silent, opting instead to ascend and meet the Cthulhu head-on. His clenched fist thumped powerfully with a fiery red light imbued within it.
"I was hoping I'd get some answers from you, but it seems you're determined to meet your demise," sighed the Cthulhu, its confident declaration hanging heavy in the air.
