Chapter 16: "A Confession"

I wasn't me after his response, and I was regretting why I asked him. The tears shed on the floor, and pulled my brain up to its crease and dropped it. My heart was still aching for the one who never heard my voice in their presence, and I could never fulfil the wish. Even if I tried to do, I couldn't afford because of that person's absence stole my happiness; anger; and sorrow.

"There's no one to accept my anger, Mom!" I exclaimed.

I walked to my bedroom; took a shower and wore a blue shirt and black trouser to make me feel comfortable on thighs. There was a little happiness finding me a wave of peace for my soul to elaborate the love for Prachi which I only retained to caress her.  I was over thinking about Bhargav's words about what he had about mom which I wasn't aware of, and most importantly, I was happy for Harini's arrival to the house. Well, my heart was overjoying where it shouldn't be.

"Control yourself! There can be only one on your bench, Heart," I told to my heart.

It was at 8:05 p.m.

While I was adjusting the cloth on the dining table, the front doorbell ranged. When I opened it, the bright light hit on my face.

"Is it morning?" I questioned hiding my eyes.

As the brightness was slowly dimming, I saw a beautiful white gown with a curly hairstyle. I almost felt the love with her eyes. Her eyes were smiling at me and asked me to hug her, and it was telling me that they were desperately searching for my eyes all the way.

"Do you mind if I let me inside the house?" she smiled.

The smile that could never get old but, that could get a hangover without consuming alcohol, and a dimple on her face made it more mesmerizing smile ever.

"You look fabulous in this dress and beautiful too," I said.

She poked me; walked inside; lifter her up to my ears and whispered, "Do you still want my answer?"

My heart was beating fast as she was so close to me, and there was a slight touch of her wet lips on my ears.

"No," I gasped.

She laughed and relaxed her head on my chest as her height was shorter than mine. When I asked her why she was laughing, she lasted silent for a minute.

"Harini," I called.

"Raghav," she called.

"Um..." I paused.

"Hey! You people took the entire entrance as your bedroom," someone from the door.

She looked behind, "Bhargav!" we said.

"Move-in!" he added.

I pulled her off slightly from me as soon as Bhargav was on my sight. Harini gave me a look but, avoid took place in my mind.

"Co-Come on in!" I said.

He threw his bag on the sofa and asked curiously, "What's the menu, Mister?"

"Uh..." I walked to the kitchen, and they followed me.

"Chicken Kebab, Chicken Butter Masala, Triple rice, Raitha, and for dessert, we have a cake and ice cream," I added.

"You made this all, did you?" Harini asked, excitedly.

I saw Bhargav rolling his eyes on her.

"I ordered," I clarified.

"There's a limit for expectations, Harini," he taunted.

"How would I know?" she snuggled.

"By the way, what were you people doing near the door?" he asked.

"A romance?" he added.

She hit him on the head and said, "Don't talk stupid things."

As they were walking to the dining, Bhargav was asking about her dress.

"From where did you steal this dress? From a wedding?" he laughed.

"Shut up!" she yelled.

I was enjoying the bond between them. When I saw both sitting side by side opposite me, I recalled Prachi's expectations after her YES. The smile on my face stopped tears from dropping.

"Let's play some music, Harini!" Bhargav said as he took a remote.

There was a home theatre in my house. He connected his mobile through Bluetooth and played "Tu Jaane Na" song from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani.

It was the soulful song which always soothed my wound for Prachi. In the meantime, Harini grabbed the remote forcefully from him and played another song. The song which brought me tears on my cheeks. It left me unheard of those feelings which I never experienced. That song one couldn't resist crying. Name of the song was Meri Maa from Taare Zameen Par.

"Excuse me!" I said and walked to my mom's bedroom.

I felt her scent; presence; and everything which could change my cry face to smile. That was the time where tears left me alone.

"Raghav!" they called, loudly.

"One minute," I said; wiped my tears and walked out.

"What happened, Ragh?" Harini asked.

I took a seat and said, "Nothing!" I smiled.

They looked at each other and Bhargav said, "If there's something bothering you, then share with me."

"Did Harini do something to you?" he asked, pointing her.

"Just say me, yes, and I will call the police and complaint a file that she raped you."

"Shut up!" she yelled, shouldering.

"Why do girls hit always?" he questioned.

She looked at him and smiled, "Girls like hitting someone."

I laughed staring at them, and it reminded me of the fights between Prachi and I. It was the most beautiful scenes I captured in my brain but, she was slowly eradicating her body.

We had our meal until the bowls got empty. Harini dropped herself in the middle as her stomach was very small. She helped me out carrying the plates into the kitchen. Bhargav joined us in the kitchen but to look at us working.

"Harini," he paused.

"What is it?" she asked.

He lowered his brows and asked, "Why did you wear this gown? Isn't it very hot inside?"

"No!' she said, glaring.

Well, that was inappropriate to ask a girl a type of question without her permission. Bhargav never cared about those things either.

"Stop looking at me like this. Otherwise, I will end up falling in love," he said, blushing.

She giggled on his words and told him to go away from her sight. We washed all the plates, and Harini asked me to show her my bedroom. While we were coming out of the kitchen, we saw Bhargav on the sofa drinking Vodka.

"When did you bring this?" I asked walking towards him.

"Do you drink, Bhargav?" she asked.

He looked at her and nodded.

"There are more three in my bag, Harini," he said.

"But you threw the bag on the sofa just like that," she pointed.

"Useless topic to talk," he said and continued drinking.

I took his glass away from him as he was already looking drunk; I offered him a walk on the beach with me.

"Harini, my bedroom is up. I will catch you after I return," I said and took him out.

"Raghav," he muttered.

"Okay! We'll talk after we reach the beach."

I took him to the beach holding him tightly on the road. While we were about to sit on the sand, he called me.

"Raghav!"

"Hmm," I hummed, making him comfortable on the sand.

"Mom died in front of me," he confessed.
