The door opened, and out of it came Kio, Tsuko, and the Yaoyorozus. They lined up at the center of the room, all of the attention on them.

"First and foremost, everyone, we would like to thank you all for taking the time out of your busy lives to attend this party." Takashi Yaoyorozu started, and looked towards his wife.

"Indeed, it is our pleasure to have you here. With the formalities out of the way, we would like to announce something." Yana Yaoyorozu said before turning to Kio and Tsuko, who had been silent this entire time.

"Would you like to do the honors?"

Kio glanced towards Tsuko, a soundless question, to which Tsuko responded to with silence, a mutual understanding between two lifelong partners.

Kio turned back to the crowd with a smile and said "We as the CEO and COO of HypeTech, along with Yaoyorozu Incorporated."

"Would like to announce, that a partnership has been created." The crowd erupted in the sounds of hands clapping, none were surprised of course, they were already well aware for what purpose this party was being held.

"Together, we would like to revolutionize the future of technology–" Takashi started his speech and I tuned it out, instead focusing on a certain individual in the crowd, the same one I saw earlier, with a glass of wine and a phone in his hands, no one else would think he was suspicious, but my instincts told me something was wrong.

Calling for Kio and Tsuko now would only bring unwanted attention, from both the people in the party and the potential allies of the shifty man, this is why I hated these parties, always too many factors and never enough solutions.

Thankfully, since this party was of the highest importance, and held a good amount of influential people, the security was also high, heroes were scattered about in the ballroom, and I can only imagine what the outside looks like, most of the people here also probably brought their own help.

Anyone trying to interrupt this party would have to be very careful.

"As soon as you can, go and tell your parents that something is wrong." I whispered to Momo, who was watching them give their speech beside me.

"H- Huh?, what do you–"

I looked her in the eyes and nodded.

"Do you understand?" I asked her.

"Y- Yes, I understand.... What will you do?"

"What I used to do." She let out a confused hum but I already walked away, my first priority was to find Nejire.

Hyrua looked around and found her eating strawberries in a random corner.

"Nejire come with me." He told her, offering her his hand, his tone carried with a hint of urgency.

"No–" She was about to refuse, but seeing the seriousness in his expression, she only nodded and took his hand.

"Good, let's go." He said and started to walk towards Kio and Tsuko again, Nejire following him.

"What's wrong brother?" Nejire asked in alertness.

"I don't know. Stay close to me no matter what." Hyrus answered, the meaning of his words double.

Nejire nodded, and they made their way to where Kio and Tsuko were, the former finishing up his speech.

Hyrus, seeing Kio finish his speech, signaled to Tsuko, who had seen them arrive in an unusual hurry, that something was wrong.

Hyrus locked eyes with Tsuko while making sure that Nejire was right beside him, and mouthed the words 'Suspicious man, be ready.' He pointed towards a general direction.

Tsuko's eyes widened for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure and nodded, a nearly unnoticeable grim expression on her face. She then tugged on Kio's suit a few specific times, causing him to look towards Hyrus' direction.

'Stay near us.' He mouthed.

Slowly, Hyrus led Nejire closer to their parents, making sure to not be suspicious in their movements.

Now all that's left for Hyrus to do was hope that Momo heeded his words and told her parents about the situation.

Unfortunately, his hopes would only amount to the singing of a bird in a cage.

Not long after, Takashi Yaoyorozu once again called for everybody's attention.

"With that said, we finally have a reason to celebrate. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to dance." He said with a smile on his face.

The spotlights went out, almost immediately reappearing in an unoccupied area of the ballroom, accompanied with moderately fast music, inviting people to dance in its light.

It's effect immediate, getting lost in the tunnel of tipsiness, people naturally flowed towards the light. Though mostly couples, some merely wanted to enjoy the music by themselves.

"We are joining them. Would the both of you like to come as well?" Takashi offered.

"Yeah, join us please. We would like to dance with our business partners on the same floor." Yana insisted, an amicable smile on her face.

Thinking it rude to decline, they agreed "We will join as well then. It is a good thing to be friends with people you will be working with after all." Kio said.

"It is a good opportunity." Tsuko nodded, always only stepping in when needed in business matters.

"Hyrus and Nejire, let's go dance." Kio called for them.

"Okay dad!" Nejire said excitedly, not letting the potential problem direct her from having fun, a disparity between Hyrus' simple nod.

'It would be good to stay in a place where we are seen properly, although it seems counterproductive, it will help the security identify any threats near us better.' Hyrus' thought to himself.

"Well what do we have here. Aren't both of you just the cutest!" Yana said gleefully.

"Ah right, we forgot to introduce you. These are our children, Nejire and Hyrus Hado." Kio said, gesturing towards us.

"Both of you have great names." Takashi said with a smile.

"How old are the both of you?" Yana asked curiously.

"We are twins so both of us are 3 years old!" Answered excitedly, getting along quite well with the animated business woman.

'She definitely seems like the type to spoil her kids and nephews.' Hyrus thought to himself, writing a connection between Yana and his early days as a parent.

"Hyrus was it?" Takashi said. "You are a very charming young man for your age Hyrus." He complimented.

"I appreciate the compliment." Hyrus responded.

"Quite well-spoken too, you are just like our daughter Momo, have you met her? You're about the same age." She chuckled.

"Yes, I have." Hyrus answered, and Nejire's ears perked up.

"I see, I hope the three of you get along well." Yana said with a smile.

A few moments later, they moved to the dance floor, starting a slow dance, Kio and Tsuko pairing up, and Takashi with Yana.

Following their lead, Hyrus and Nejire waltzed slowly to the music as well, having been taught how to dance by Kio and Tsuko themselves.

In the weight of the moment, Hyrus noticed that Nejire wasn't looking at him directly.

"Are you okay?" Hyrus asked her, causing her to finally look at him, still dancing to the music.

"I'm fine." She said plainly. Hyrus was about to speak again when she interrupted.

"What was that earlier? You looked worried." She asked.

Choosing to ask his own questions later, Hyrus said "I saw a man in the crowd, and felt that something was wrong."

"I'm not sure if anything will happen, but I already told mom and dad just in case."

Nejire nodded. Her curiosity still present, she asked "Do you think it has something to do with your quirk?"

"Hm?"

"Your instincts, do you think its connected to what quirk you are going to get? I read a book that said people sometimes show certain traits before they awaken their quirk, and you always had a good sense for different things."

Nejire, always eager to share her knowledge, asked Hyrus a question that made him think for a moment.

'I wonder if she's right. Instincts were always a big part of my powers, maybe part of it stayed with me even before I awaken my quirk.' He contemplated.

"Maybe, we will see when we do awaken our quirks little Nejire."

"I'm only 3 minutes younger though." She mumbled under her breath.

Hyrus smiled and waltzed a little faster, coincidentally, the music also started picking up.

Nejire although confused in the change of pace, had no problem matching him.

As the music turned faster, under the watchful eyes of the spectating crowd, they stood out.

Nejire and Hyrus danced gracefully, sometimes breaching the borders of a waltz in their movements.

Kio and Tsuko watched the pair, as they glid around the dance floor, a smile on their faces.

As the music reached its crescendo, they danced in the center, moving with the flow of the musical piece being played.

The music ended, and so did their performance, a small pause followed by the clapping and cheers of the attendants, and liveliness filled the air.

Meanwhile, behind the veil of cheers in the crowd, a man lurked, a smirk present on his face.

The man dropped the glass of wine in his hands, it fell to the ground and shattered, yet no sound came out, no fragments were present, only him.

And then the lights went out...
