No One Will Know: Between Friends

Jack and Dan had three rules: - Stop EVERYTHING when one of them fell in love or had a significant other - No kissing on the lips They were best friends, childhood friends. So what would happen when one of them fell in love or had a significant other? Would everything come to an end? Everything seemed simple at first, but when love gets involved... ******************** "What are you talking about?" "You will never want me again." "No, that's not true..." "You won't touch me anymore. You won't make love to me..." And Jackson appeared shocked. "Of course, that was the deal, Dan. When one of us found..." "I know. I'm aware, thank you," he shouted again. "So why are you making such a fuss?" "Because... it's not fair. You found someone to sleep with, but not me." "Then find someone." "I'm gay, Jack. You think gay guys are easy to come by." "No but..." "I need you. Let's make a different arrangement." "No, no, Dan. That's not possible." Dan was moving dangerously close to his friend, sitting on his lap, his hands around his neck. "Oh, but it is possible," Dan replied, nibbling on his friend's ear.

Chapter 14

Two years had passed like this. Dan and Jack were still engaging in a sexual relationship, while Jack was still in a relationship with Joy.

"You should try a little. I won't be able to keep seeing you when I'm married to Joy."

"It's not my fault no one wants me."

"It's not your fault? You don't even make an effort to find a boyfriend or just a one-night stand, Dan." An argument erupted between them.

Despite two years in college, Daniel still had neither a boyfriend nor friends outside of Jack. Instead, he stayed cooped up at home, immersing himself in video games.

"Why can't we just..."

"No, Dan. This relationship has gone on for too long. I'm tired of feeling guilty for cheating on Joy with you."

"You're not cheating on her. We..."

"Of course I am. I'm sleeping with my best friend behind her back."

"But we did it way before she came into your life."

"That's true, but that's not the point. We should stop. All of this should have ended long ago, as soon as I started dating Joy."

"And why didn't we?" Jack was about to respond, but Dan beat him to it. "Because you can't live without fucking me." Dan smiled. He knew the effect he had on Jack.

Approaching him, he stroked his member gently, locking eyes with Jack.

"Stop that!"

"Don't like what I'm doing?"

"You're acting like a..."

"Like what, Jack?" Dan tried to undo Jack's belt.

"A whore!" Dan paused for a moment.

"Have you ever slept with a prostitute?"

"I don't need to, because you're already here."

"Do you mean to say that I'm just a fuck buddy? Your fuck buddy?" Dan knew what Jack was trying to do. He wanted to hurt him so that he would get angry and decide to end their relationship.

"I don't mind," admitted Dan. "I'm your fuck buddy and you're my sex toy." Jack couldn't help but smile at that.

"I'm going to marry her, you know," Dan withdrew his hands from Jack.

"How so?"

"I'm going to ask for her hand in marriage. Not today or tomorrow, but one day."

"Seriously?"

"Yes, seriously. I love her. And I want to live with her and one day, start a family with her."

"And me?"

"You'll always be my best friend." The words "best friend" annoyed Dan.

In a fit of anger and desperation, he threw himself at Jack and kissed him. Jack pushed him away.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"I'm kissing you, obviously." It was the first time they had kissed. Their lips had brushed against each other once or twice before but...

"Daniel. You've gone too far."

"Why? Just because I kissed you?"

"Just? It's the second rule you've broken."

"To hell with the rules. You kiss her just fine!"

"Do you realize what you're saying? Dan, Joy is my girlfriend. Soon to be my fiancée and the mother of my children. Whereas you..."

"What? "Whereas", I'm just your one-night stand."

"No. I meant. My best friend. I don't want to lose her, Dan. And definitely not you."

"You're not going to lose us. Neither of us."

"Of course. Because we are going to stop everything. I can't continue like this anymore."

"Why? Because of that woman? Let her go to hell!"

"Dan!" Jack exclaimed once again as Dan rushed towards his lips once more. This time, he firmly held Jack by the head, bringing them closer.

Jack tried to break free but strangely found himself... enjoying this exchange. Dan's lips were not as soft as Joy's but... he had something more.

Jack responded to Dan's kiss with passion and desire. Their lips sought each other with fervor, carried away by the pleasure of the present moment. Their clothes quickly fell off, revealing their burning skin under their caresses.

Without a word, they let themselves be guided by their desire, kissing each other with intensity, pressing against each other. Jack's movements were frenetic, trying to remove the last obstacles between them, when suddenly his phone rang, breaking the enchantment of the moment.

"Don't answer, let it ring," Dan murmured between fiery kisses. Jack hesitated for a moment, then decided to follow his friend's advice, getting carried away by the pleasure of his kisses.

However, the doorbell rang, bringing them back to the brutal reality of their surroundings. They startled, looking at each other, torn between the burning desire that consumed them and the external disturbances that disrupted their devouring passion.

"Who could be ringing at this hour?" they wondered.

Then Joy's voice rang out. "Jack. It's me, Joy. Open the door."

"Hurry!" Jack exclaimed. He quickly got dressed and rearranged his clothes, asking Dan to do the same, even though he was annoyed by this interruption. Once ready, Jack went to open the door.

"What a bitch!" Dan muttered.

"Why do you always lock the door? It's not like someone is going to burglarize you or..." Jack cut Joy off by kissing her, their embrace becoming more passionate. "A morning erection from what I see."

"I missed you, that's all." Jack expressed his desire for Joy. He wanted to be with her. Now that she was there, he couldn't continue with Dan, and he knew it was for the best.

Dan was there, watching them, jealous and sad. He thought he should have been the one in Joy's place, that he was better than her, that he understood Jack better than her. But he wasn't her. He wasn't a woman.

He felt tears starting to well up. Without a word, he stormed out of the house, not saying goodbye to Joy or Jack.

"What's wrong with him again?" she asked, as Jack shrugged. "Is your friend a bit bipolar?" she added, wrapping her arms around Jack's neck and kissing him.

"I don't know," Jack replied between kisses. "How about we continue this in my room?"

"With pleasure!!"
