Terrorism

Ren slowly regained consciousness in the abandoned temple, his body aching all over. As he tried to move, he realized that his limbs felt heavy, as if all his strength had abandoned him. He lay there for a few moments, trying to remember what had happened to him.

Then, he heard a voice inside his head. It was a familiar voice, but he couldn't quite place it. The voice spoke to him, telling him to focus his thoughts and energies. Ren tried to concentrate, and as he did, he felt a surge of energy inside him. It was a raw, untamed power that he had never felt before.

He closed his eyes and let the energy flow through him, and as he did, he saw visions of his past battles, his victories and his defeats.

As Ren opened his eyes, he realized that the power he had felt earlier was still inside him, slowly replenishing his strength. He stood up, feeling a newfound sense of determination. He knew that he had to use this power to protect himself and his companion, mainly Thanatos and Psyche but also considerate Rita.

When Ren felt that he was somewhat ready he goes outside and there he see his companions, Psyche and Thanatos having some sort of argue, but after they see the weak status of Ren thought their mental link, they stopped their disputes and get closed to him, Thanatos get to support him as well as Psyche get to his shoulder to rub his head against Ren.

Ren appreciated the support of his companions, and he patted Thanatos on the head in gratitude. He turned to Psyche and gave her a smile, feeling comforted by her presence.

"I'm sorry for worrying you guys," Ren said, "I had to go through something important".

Ren made his way to the city, his mind filled with thoughts of the recent events. As he approached the inn where he usually stayed, he saw that it was bustling with activity. He pushed his way through the crowd and made his way inside.

As he walked through the inn, he scanned the faces of the people there, looking for Rita. He finally spotted her sitting at a table in the corner of the room, surrounded by a group of people. Ren hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should approach her now or wait until she was alone. But then he saw her catch his eye and she smiled and waved him over.

Ren walked over to her, feeling a mix of relief and nervousness. He greeted her warmly and she introduced him to her companions. They were a diverse group of travelers, each with their own unique story to tell.

As they talked and laughed together, Ren found himself feeling more and more relaxed. He had forgotten how much he enjoyed the company of others, how it lifted his spirits and made him feel alive.

Eventually, the night wore on and the group began to disperse. Rita turned to Ren and asked him if he wanted to walk with her for a while. Ren agreed, and they stepped outside into the cool night air.

They walked in silence for a few moments, enjoying the peacefulness of the night. Then Rita spoke up.

"So, Ren," she said, "what's been going on with you? You seem... different."

Ren hesitated for a moment, unsure of how much to tell her. But then he decided that he could trust her, that she would understand.

"Well, I had an encounter with the goddess," he said, "and it left me feeling... changed. I'm not exactly sure how to explain it."

Rita listened intently, her expression thoughtful. When Ren finished speaking, she placed a hand on his arm.

"I think I know what you mean," she said, "I've had experiences like that too, where everything just... clicks into place. It's a strange feeling, but it's also incredibly powerful. And it sounds like it's something that you needed right now."

"Well, after the defeat we suffer I need something to do" Ren said, "fortunately I could rank up to gold, now I am not entirely powerless in the pursuit of my goals, but there is still a lot that need to be made"

"I am delighted that you find new strength for your trip" she said, "in regards your goals, you have said earlier that you want to expand the old faith, since I don't understand the holy book, I have been doing some small talk with wandering travelers, and I think that being a priest could be my purpose on life, this is my new resolution"

Ren was impacted as how quick Rita has change, but after all she has been through its just make some sense, after all Erebo have help her a lot.

After some moments Ren said "since you are so resolve to be a priest, I would take you to the temple so you can take the vows of Erebo, I am currently in a weakened state but in one or two days we will go"

"That would be wonderful, I will have to depend on you." Rita said.

"don't worry, I going to rest for now, if something happen talks to me" Ren said

Ren retired to rest and recover, in the meanwhile Thanatos enjoy the full attention of Rita, and Psyche keep avoid her, and with Ren isolate the hawk decide go to the forest to hunt and do some exploration.

After two days Rita bursts into the room.

"Ren there is a big problem" Rita said her face had terror plastered on it.

"What happens, why are you so agitated" Ren said.

"some high-ranking officers have been assassinated" Rita said

"What, who, where" Ren stuttered, his face full of disbelief.

"I don't know the exa…" when Rita was finishing her words suddenly the sound of an explosion interrupt her

Ren's heart pounded in his chest as he quickly got up from his bed. He knew that the sound of an explosion could only mean one thing - terrorism. He quickly got dressed and grabbed his weapons, not wasting any time.

"Get ready, we need to leave now," Ren said to Rita as he rushed past her towards the door.

Rita quickly followed him, fear etched on her face. Thanatos and Psyche flew down to join them, sensing the urgency of the situation.

As they stepped outside, they were met with chaos. People were running in every direction, screaming and shouting. Smoke filled the air, and the sound of more explosions could be heard in the distance.

Ren and his companions pushed their way through the crowd, heading towards the center of the chaos. They saw several buildings on fire, and a group of people in masks and weapons running around, causing destruction.

Ren knew that he had to act fast, he wasn't going to let innocent people suffer because of these terrorists. He drew his sword and charged towards the group of terrorists.

The terrorists were taken by surprise as Ren attacked them, their weapons flashing in the light of the fires. Ren's sword sliced through the air, taking down one terrorist after another.

As they fought, Ren saw something that made his blood run cold. One of the terrorists had a bomb strapped to his chest, and he was running towards a group of civilians. Ren knew that he had to stop him before it was too late.

He sprinted towards the terrorist, dodging his attacks and parrying his strikes. He finally got close enough to strike, and with one swift motion, he plunged his sword into the terrorist's chest, taking him down.

The bomb fell harmlessly to the ground, and Ren breathed a sigh of relief.

At this moment Ren look at his surrounding and could finally see that the situation was under control.

At the same moment he enters in fight, some other member of the army reaches the place al kill the remaining terrorist.

After the fight, Ren surveyed the damage and saw that the situation was under control. He sighed with relief, but then noticed something that made his heart sink. Among the debris, he saw a symbol that he recognized from his past encounters with the Black Widow. He knew that she had been involved in this attack, and even though some of her accomplices had been taken down, he knew that the Black Widow herself was still on the run and could strike again at any moment.

Ren felt a sense of urgency. He knew that he had to find the Black Widow before she caused more harm, and he was determined to stop her once and for all. He gathered his companions and set out to track down any leads they could find that would lead them to the Black Widow.

At this point Psyche suddenly lands on his shoulders.

When the hawk looks to Ren in the eyes he suddenly receives some information via his mind link.

"So there you are" Ren said, then mount Thanatos and depart from the scene.
