Chapter 1

In a world where strength means everything and a moment of weakness can make you end up in someone's belly.

Technology is abysmal.

As for fantasy stuff? Fuck, you'll only find that in books and fairytales if you can find any!

Everyone starts at the very bottom here.

Monsters, mutants, bandits, slavers, raiders, all sorts of things will bring you the trouble here, and if you happened to reach this world, the only question was...

how long will you last?

In the middle of the vast plains covered in drylands was a city called the Hub.

well, shambles of it.

It had walls that were 10 meters tall cracked and old due to the constant battles it suffered like every 3-7 days decked with corpses of their enemies or anyone dumb enough to attack without a proper plan.

The Hub is a place where anyone and anything can get into there are no rules in the area with the population is 100,000+.

Holy nation outlaws or other lawless people wanted by different kingdoms or nations or empires, and the thieves guild are prominent here.

Brawls are frequent here thanks to the constant influx of people on the run, as are drunkards, prostitutes, homeless brats of different shapes and sizes, but everyone tries to watch out for one another just enough to make sure they have the common enemy, with a very...

contradicting relationship.

As sometimes, the city gets raided by all sorts of things but from beast hordes to small armies, most of these said armies were from the most hated kingdom, the holy nation. It doesn't happen very often due to the Shek kingdom being their hated enemy and the constant fights their patrols get into that tends to end in a stalemate.

Today was different for the people of the Hub as some lunatic of a man fell from the sky.

Landing flat on his back with so much force that the whole city heard the landing, then everyone saw the rising dust cloud he made from it.

When the dust cloud cleared, the culprit of the spectacle was a man that had no eyes, no nose, no mouth, he had pointed ears though, with pale white skin, and a skinny frame to the point his arms and legs were like stilts.

Thanks to how skinny he looked, many believed that he would die rather quickly since he seemed so weak!

His most distinguishing feature was the long and thin, plate covered tail that seemed to help him find his way around as it tapped the ground, the people of the Hub didn't care for his show of skin since he wasn't the only naked person here due to the lack of resources and workforce.

So those around him paid his current 'getup' no heed.

although, there were some whistles coming from the common whores of both genders due to the mammoth that dangled about.

However, the action he made when one of the rats that were scurrying about got close to him was a slight eye-opener, as it opened up and 'ate' the rat in one fell swoop.

Other than that, there was nothing too unusual about the man.

Why? There are so many different races walking this world that it isn't funny, and the action that his tail did was similar to that of hellions!

So this man may be a variant of their race.

The difference between them as they had bigger frames and red skin, which he lacks in both departments.

So everyone quickly lost interest in the man then went about on their way thinking that he will die soon enough while there were a few eyes on him just in case he might be a good seed to enlist.

or just another piece of meat to pick at later.

As in this world, this really needs to be reiterated regardless of how strong you get, you need strength and numbers to get what you want, or you'll most likely become food for monsters or others.

The faceless man's name is Nemo, a reincarnated man that gave so much for his chance at his dream to get back at the ones who betrayed him.

As for why he looked this way, he made a deal with the goddess of equivalent and exchange he was allowed to travel to different worlds however he must reach the peak before moving to the next that his overall strength will be the price to pay to move to the next world which is randomized if he isn't strong enough the skills he earned or memories would suffice.

But if he lacked even those only death will await him for even attempting to try his luck too soon.

He was allowed to make changes to himself at the cost of giving up something his name was included. His eyes for semi-immortality, his sense of smell mental mapping, his sense of taste for echolocation, his nose and mouth to reconstruct his body to no longer need to breathe through the nose but through the skin, optimizing it for battle and to absorb everything it eats.

The eyes sadly are a permanent trade; however, the nose and mouth can be retrieved by using the bodies of those that his tail absorbs as payment.

However, that will take a very long time due to how weak he is now.

He will have to learn how things are in this world as it is the version where the mods and specific additions are included so who knows what he'll be dealing with.

there were cripples, kids, or wastes on the sides of the streets begging for food and water willing to offer their bodies in exchange or for some quick fun.

It was not a good sight to see when teenage kids offering their 'services' to a group of men and women with a high chance of him dying during the process...

Nemo decided to explore the whole city, then to find one of the resource points to gather some resources to sell since one, the danger it entailed made many fear for their lives, and two, these bastards are straight-up lazy! then lastly if they WILL be forced to become bait if the 'stronger' ones were running from something or someone stronger than them.

Some little things that he remembered about the game certainly helped, however, the number of monster nests that were mentioned by those that he passed by was way more compared to the game by at least double at the minimum!

Some of the daredevils, desperate people, and beggars were already dead only left there to rot due to the lack of meat they had on their bodies.

Their rotting bodies acts as a reminder as to what happens if you are crippled and useless.

It was a cruel world but that was why people played this game and those that live in it have to struggle from day to day to get even some scraps for the days.

It took Nemo some time to fully map the city around a few weeks due to how big it was and the constant bastards that wanted to kill him then eat him since Nemo had a bit more meat on him than before.

even some brats wanted to try their luck in killing him that's how feeble he seemed!

Nemo decided to avoid them as much as possible since he wasn't sure to the overall strength they had since he was able to 'watch' how strong they were during the 4 raids this town had endured.

A punch from some kid that can turn another person into mush?

A simple swing of a whip acted like a blade to decimate 10 men?

there was so much more but he wasn't willing to try his luck until he was absolutely sure he can handle at least half of that!

But there were some benefits for helping against the raids.

Thanks to him 'helping' during the times the city was being raided the few previous times, he managed to snag some clothes and supplies which made his life a little better as the water from the bars wasn't... well, clean as some of the times, they went as far as selling piss to stave off thirst, he couldn't blame them as the rest of the water areas were claimed by the stronger groups or polluted beyond repair by bastards that were just plain assholes.

The nice thing about raids were the rewards given, some of which were precious supplies, however, that would make you a target.

thus, Nemo never accepted any rewards, hell, even if he was purposely forced to receive them by some higher-ranked official that wanted to see him suffer.

Nemo immediately gives it to the first beggar he finds then leaves, as the sounds of fighting and struggling would be heard quickly afterward.

He had it somewhat easier than the other beggars since the pests that he fed on may be full of diseases and all sorts of viruses however his tail allowed him to be able to eat almost anything that had meat and bones on it.

Nemo also noticed a strange thing that had appeared in his mind that showed his overall health.

Echolocation: passively adds 20 points to perception permanently.

Lifegiver life taker tail: every life taken by the tail allows adding one point to the health of choice. adds +5 to all martial arts and +10% damage reduction

Mental map: allows the user to create a permanent mental map of traveled areas.

Battle ready body: increases overall adaptability in battle and in life or death situations.

>Adds temporary heightened senses and reflexes in near-death situations, -50% overall stats on cooldown for one day.

Got some good skills that can help him survive a bit longer but against the powerful freaks of nature that ruled this city it could only do so much

the rest of his stats were blank however the points that Nemo can add where should he add them?

My Kenshi version will have nothing too high tech or magical there will be however hordes of monsters. factions, and so much more and by the way, there is also a difficulty that was added to this world so wait and see what happens when he goes to another city it will not be pretty!

p.s. there will be slavery and all that.
