Cute puppy

Deep continued scolding and both friends let him continue his rambling so that they can get a chance....

after an eternity Kuldeep stopped and looked at them and became more furious for they have non responsive attitude and again he was about to start scolding them then Marina cut him off "Brother have a breather and let us explain" with a glass of water.

all this while Navina was calm as ever after glancing at Kuldeep

some time before.....

Navina and Marina reached bus stop , as they were waiting for bus a middle aged woman suddenly crossed them with a puppy in her arms with full of white fur and cuteness but someone's legs are already shaking and started to hide behind Marina,looking at Navina's change Marina couldn't help but look at where she is glancing from time to time.

one look was enough for Marina to be awestruck for having seen such a cute puppy

" aweee Navina why are you shaking look at how cute that puppy is???"

" don't you know how much I am afraid of dogs??"

" ya ya I know but how could you fear such a cutie, look the owner of that puppy is also beautiful, even though she is a middle aged person but she isn't looking like that right"

" you are so gossipy, how can you care less for my fear and gossip ??"

" ok ok I won't"

" cover me when they cross us otherwise we won't reach office in time, now I wish that your car was available today, we would have reached office by now "

" didn't you wish to take public transportation for a while so I thought it would be better today "

" yes yes I wished but who would have thought I will face a puppy here?"

" step aside I will cover you so that you won't be face to face with puppy ok"

" emm"

since Navina is afraid of dogs she tried to be away from them but unfortunately....

the puppy pounced onto her

"aahhhh "

Marina also saw this and tried to help Navina but before she could help Navina tried to push the puppy as fast as she can to the owner

" hey girl who are you ?? why are you shouting ?? are you afraid of my puppy ??"

asked the middle aged woman who was surprised when her well behaved puppy acted that way

instead of answering Navina took Marina's hand in hers, all this while Marina couldn't help much in this so immediately after her hand being grabbed they started to run forgetting their initial purpose to the point where they had their mind blanked out. when they finally regained their senses they were long gone past their plans

Navina was the first one to realise all this and started to freak out " hey Marina!!!! O God what have I done??? how can we reach office now!!!????"

"O shit I should have known this when I first saw that puppy and should have reacted fast!!!"

" if Kuldeep get to know the reason for being late how embarrassing it will be and we are not on time either, how could we handle all the workload after we reach????"

"Navina don't overthink everything is ready at work and we are not in any forest to fear for transportation alright, now be cool , I will book a cab when it comes to my bro I will take care of him ok"

" mmmhm ok" sighed Navina

Navina recalled everything that happened earlier and felt embarrassed to the point she don't even wanna recall her being so sillyand delaying work on such an important day

Marina cooked up a story and tried to save Navina from embarrassment but who could get past her brother

" Deep i am really really sorry for being late but it's all my fault, you know I had a serious stomachache and Navina had to take me to hospital, we rushed immediately after I felt better, look at us how hard we worked all this while did we ever give any excuse to skip work, if it wasn't for me getting health issue we wouldn't have made you worry , at least I would have informed you right, hmm"

Navina tried to keep an innocent and helpless face so that their lie doesn't get caught as they both are bad liars.

" Marina.. I know you are lying, since you both are safe I won't go much into this matter" Kuldeep said as a matter of fact

' I knew it we are bad liars and this guy is good at catching liars, now what to do it's not like we will tell truth and get embarrassed ' thought Navina

' he got me again, don't know when I will be able to lie ' thought Marina and didn't probe further after being exposed

Seeing Marina's reaction he knew they are caught , he decided to take advantage of the situation for making him crazy all morning for their absence with no contact

" don't try to negotiate with me on this, I will take this as you both owe me, now both of you go to your positions, it's not like you can back out from your responsibilities regarding today evening"

Navina heard their conversation and was thankful for herself from not getting embarrassed Infront of Kuldeep otherwise he would tease het later

all this while Manish is feeling like he is watching a reality show observing how Marina lied, Navina's uneasiness and Kuldeep catching Marina's lie and behaving as a wolf catching a goat in it's hands, trying hard not to giggle Infront of them but who could escape form his boss's eyes

" enjoyed the show??" Kuldeep said looking towards Manish

"ehh" Manish couldn't answer as the result will be same and preferred to be silent

" aren't you going to work??" Kuldeep repeated making them realise his intention

"ya now now bye bro, ahh I forgot to ask something, I heard there is surprise for you tonight and do you know Navina is also waiting for hers " hearing this both Kuldeep and Navina looked at each other in a daze and said at the same time

"you too have a surprise!!!"
