Worried

Deep came to head office of Marina electronic appliances in his car , which is located close to the outskirts of city B.

The building has three floors along with a basement where all stock is stored with underground parking lot, ground floor is completely used for display purposes and first floor is filled with various departments except management which is in second floor. Third floor is a big hall which is especially made for important meetings and celebrations, compared to other branches of MEA (Marina Electronic Appliances) store.

MEA's head office is a simple detached building with some greenery within the compound.

when Kuldeep entered the building he saw that everyone was busy with their assigned tasks,

after seeing him enter, they halted and greeted him with respect and then continued their work. He entered the lift followed by his assistant who was waiting for his arrival for a while so that they can finish the arrangements with in time and end it smoothly.

"Good morning, sir", his assistant Manish greeted

"Morning Manish", he acknowledged with a smile

"How are the arrangements going on, has all the invitations delivered? don't forget this is our twentieth anniversary celebration and most of our guests are our accomplices in business and loyal customers along with relatives and our staff" Kuldeep asked

"yes sir, almost all the tasks has been assigned they will be done with in time. The invitations has also been delivered as per your order, don't worry sir, everything will be done as per your arrangement" Manish replied

"What about catering, stage decoration and guest list, have they all been prepared?".

"of course sir, everything is prepared but....." Manish hesitated, as they were exiting the elevator Kuldeep turned and asked

"what?, why are you hesitating?"

" No sir, I am not hesitating it's just that Navina and Marina are incharge of the guests list and their arrangements, even though they have already assigned the tasks but I have no idea of their progress"

" haven't they come yet" he asked with doubt and thought ' didn't Marina leave early, even if they had taken bus they should have reached before me'

" yes sir, when you entered I should have already received their report but I don't know why they are late " he said still hesitating as he knew who those two were to Kuldeep

"alright, then report me after everything is done and tell them to meet me in my cabin when they report for work okay" he ordered and entered the cabin to do his work thinking 'what might have happened that these two are late which has not happened before' worried. and tried to contact them.

after some time

Manish entered Kuldeep's cabin and submitted his report for the day.

"Have they come?" was the first thing he said to Manish after seeing him enter.

"No, not yet sir, these are the arrangement details of the celebration " saying this Manish placed a file on Kuldeep's desk

"did they inform if they are going to be late or anything like that?" he questioned without even looking at the file and directed his sight towards Manish forgetting that their presence is important to complete the arrangements and only thinking of their safety

"No sir" he replied

'aaahhhhhh.... this sister of mine and her friend, where have they gone without informing and that too when it's an important day for our store, what might have happened, they are not even lifting calls , because of them I couldn't even concentrate on work' Kuldeep thought with full of worry showing on his face

'OMG!! his mood changed from seriousness to worry!!!! this is a miracle to see during working hours, it's my first time seeing him worried combined to them being late, anyhow they will get punished for sure, when it comes to work he expects everyone to be punctual and to complete their work in near perfect manner, being senior in field even I have to learn from him, such a professional....hmmm ...even to disregard relationships during working hours and dealings, but now he left work and only thinking about them, I should think about it....it's not like they are kids and if he ask me I can guarantee that those who go with them are the ones to suffer from their madness, he he he.... but it's also quite strange for they have not contacted..... thinking this way boss's worry is justified'

when he lifted his head he saw his assistant out of space and smiling

"has your daydreaming ended?" he said with anger showing

seeing his boss angry Manish jolted and said

"no sir I was just thinking about Navina and Marina, and what could be the reason of their missing till now"

Just then two women entered Kuldeep's cabin catching their breath

seeing the two women Infront of him Manish reacted as if he saw a ghost , no ...no ...two ghosts about whom they wetr talking just now.

Seeing them safe and sound Kuldeep relaxed a little then turned serious and shouted

"where have you been, Do you have any idea what time it is? and what were you doing all this while without reporting to work knowing how important today is and how much work we have?"
