23 Star Ninja’s cry for help

In Konoha, almost all the ninjas who were on missions had returned to the village, with only a few exceptions due to ongoing assignments.

Excitement filled the air as returning ninjas streamed through the gates of Konoha.

Inside the Hokage's office, Tobirama wore a thoughtful expression, contemplating how to secure victory for Konoha with minimal cost.

Thanks to Danzo's connections, Konoha had some information inside Suna. Tobirama was aware of a significant movement happening within Suna, but the specifics were elusive due to the council's secrecy.

Observing Suna's strategy unfold, Tobirama saw their plan: a simple yet effective approach of bringing the battle to their home ground and employing guerrilla tactics. Even with him joining the battle, catching all the scattered suna ninjas was impossible, Moreover, they weren't naive; upon his arrival, they would scatter and withdraw. Tobirama was confident in Konoha's victory but his goal was to minimize losses.

As he pondered, a knock echoed through the door.

"Come in."

"Hokage-sama, An envoy from Hoshi wants to see you," Shikaku's voice conveyed.

Tobirama's curiosity was piqued. A Hoshi-nin seeking Konoha's help?

"Do you know their purpose?" he inquired.

"I don't know yet, but the leader of the Star Ninja seems troubled. It appears he might be seeking assistance from Konoha," Shikaku replied.

Recalling the original plot, Tobirama immediately grasped the Hoshi-nin's likely objective.

If his memory served him right, a meteorite in the Star Village located within the Land of Bears, held a chakra-enhancing radiation. This radiation empowered Star Ninjas to utilize the "Mysterious Peacock", Akahoshi, the self-proclaimed Fourth Hoshikage, implanted the meteor into his chest to harness its ultimate power, allowing him to unleash the Mysterious Peacock: Dragon.

In the original story, it was Naruto who defeated Akahoshi.

However, with Naruto now assigned to anbu and Jiraiya didn't have the opportunity to mentor him, the Star ninjas were left defenseless against the monstrous Akahoshi.

Understanding the situation, Tobirama nodded, "Allow them to come in."

After a few minutes, three ninjas from the Star Village entered the room, visibly injured and looking distressed.

"Hokage-sama," they half-knelt as they spoke, their plea heavy with desperation.

The leader of the Hoshi ninjas, tears welling in his eyes, spoke with a trembling voice, "Hokage-sama, please, our Village is facing a catastrophe. We beg for your help to save us!"

Tobirama remained composed. "I can offer assistance, but what price are you willing to pay?"

The leader hesitated before answering, "If you can save our Village, we'll offer the Mysterious Peacock Method. Our entire village will pledge allegiance to Konoha if you aid us!"

Tobirama fell silent for a moment, contemplating the situation. "How many ninjas remain in your village?"

The Hoshi Ninja looked surprised by the question but replied after a moment, "There are a few hundred, many were killed by that monster Akahoshi. The current count is uncertain."

"And how many of your ninjas can master the Mysterious Peacock well enough to fly?"

The leader shook his head, and a younger ninja behind him answered, "There are approximately forty ninjas in the village who have reached that level. Akahoshi continued the Star Training after taking over, and many perished due to the technique's drawbacks."

Tobirama nodded thoughtfully. If that ninjas joined Konoha...

A smile played on his lips. He had a plan to counter Suna.

Addressing the three, he said, "Remain in Konoha. I will handle the situation in your Village."

With gratitude and shock, the ninjas watched as Tobirama vanished in a flash.

"Is that the Hokage? He's so fast we could barely see him!" they marveled.
