Chapter 49 : Getting Scold
Running through the forest that was getting darker, Kai sped through all the trees that were on the way.
He let his body move on his own while he put his full concentration using his eagle eyes that were already adapted to the speed because of the nature of the eagle itself trying to avoid any obstacle on his way.
After a while running through the forest that is now already really dark, Kai finally sees the trace of light that came from the house of the other people.
The sign that he was already near where the exit of the forest was.
"Hold on Ōmu, we're gonna reach the house in no time when we exit this forest."
Kai talked to his parrot that was inside his bag with the head pop out from the zipper that was left open.
"Hopefully mother will not be too angry."
*Squawked
"Mother Angry", "Mother Angry"
"Yeah Ōmu mother is gonna be really angry at me when we are at home."
After exiting the forest Kai ran as fast as he could to the direction where his house was, because there were no complicated obstacles on his way like inside the forest, he was able to use all the speed that he just mastered in his training with Shisui.
In no time he finally reaches in front of his house where he sees his mother who was sitting in the terrace that was located in front of their home who seems to be waiting for him.
"KAI…"
Hearing his mother who seemed to already spot him, Kai walked closer to where his mother was.
"Why did you come late Kai?"
"I'm sorry mother, I met someone that helps me when I'm testing something and I'm too focused on it to realize that the time is nearing dark."
*Squawked
"Red eyes demon.", "Red eyes demon."
Hearing his parrot speaking about it, Kai knew he needed to give his mother a more detailed explanation.
"Who is it Kai?"
"It was the same person that helped me when I was being chased by a group of hogs, he was helping me with my training, mother."
"Now, come inside first and go clean yourself, we are going to talk about it after we finish eating."
"Yes mother."
Coming inside the house Kai went to his room where he cleaned himself up like what his mother said before going back downstairs to meet his mother who was already waiting for him at the dining table.
"Mother.. i"
"Now eat the food first, before it gets too cold."
"Yes mother."
Sitting in his chair Kai starts eating his food with a guilt expression in his face, he knew exactly why his mother wanted him to go home before dark.
Even Shisui who only met him twice warned him to go back before dark, even though Shisui did not explicitly say it directly to him.
After finishing his food Kai looks at the ground waiting until his mother talks to him.
"You know right why your mother told you to go back before dark, Especially in this couple of years."
"Yes Mother."
"The news about people who keep disappearing keeps rising up in the village Kai."
"Your mother is going to call your father if you are not showing one more minute."

While listening to his mother who keeps scolding him, Kai puts all the blame in his heart to Danzo and Orochimaru for their wrongdoing who keeps experimenting on people's lives like it was livestock only for their selfish desire for power.
He really can't do anything about what they did because of how weak he was, one wrong move he was going to be the one who disappeared and with how resourceful both of them are currently in this village it was extremely dangerous to mesh with them with zero power that he currently had.
One was an elder who got a lot of respect from villagers and another was the legendary Sanin who was idolized by so many people.
After his mother finished scolding him Kai went back to his room where he lay on his back to his bed while staring at the ceiling of his room.
He tries to sort all of the knowledge and information that he gains today to help with his growth in the future.
The most important thing he needs to remember is to ask his father about all of the obstacles that he encountered when he was training and the fact that he cannot be trapped in genjutsu.
