Bell test

After leaving the Hokage's office Minato led Rei, who seemed to be congratulating Kakashi and Kakashi to a nearby field.

Minato smiled as he looked at both the kids and started speaking

"Since we already know each other I will skip the introductions and get straight to the point. You two are well aware that a ninja must be individually skilled to survive any battles but when you are working in a team teamwork is as essential as individual skills."

*tting* *ting* *ting*

He took out two bells from his pocket and showed them to the kids.

"Let's see how good your teamwork is, why don't you two try to take these bells away from me."

He smiled towards them and tied the bells around his waist.

Rei and Kakashi looked at Minato and then at bells and understood what Minato's words meant, to be honest Rei didn't think it was even possible to get the bells away from Minato even if the two them gave up their lives, but if Minato held back they might have a slight chance with the two of them.

"You guys can come at me whenever you are ready."

Minato smiled and gave the two of them time to form a strategy. Rei and Kakashi nodded as they discussed ways to get their hands on the two bells.

Minato stood on the grassy field a few meters away as he waited for them.

After a few Minutes they both got ready as they nodded their heads towards each other for a final time and started running, but instead of running straight towards Minato they both ran in the opposite directions and circled Minato before running towards him for a pincer attack.

They both reached Minato almost at the same time.

Seeing that he had no way out Minato jumped up doing a flip over Kakashi's head escaping their pincer attack with ease.

But Kakashi wasn't fazed as soon as Minato jumped over him Rei had also reached him, communicating with their eyes Kakashi nodded and placed both of his hands together creating a step for Rei to jump from.

They didn't want to give Minato much time to gain distance because if they did they would never be able to catch up to Minato and would slowly get tired as Minato would toy with them forever, if they wanted to do anything they had to do it fast.

Rei didn't hesitate either as he kept him feet on Kakashi's hands and jumped after Minato quickly gaining distance.

While in the air he performed some hand signs and almost twenty illusions of Rei appeared in thin air around Minato quickly surrounding him in the air.

"Now Kakashi." Rei shouted as he and his illusions attacked Minato.

Kakashi nodded as he put his hands inside his weapon holder and quickly threw shurikens and Kunais one after the other all aiming towards Minato or any escape route he could take.

Betting everything on their first move, it was a do or die method if this didn't work they were done for.

It was a sight to behold as the place which only had three people before was suddenly filled with illusions and weapons all aiming for a single man.

Minato was dumbfounded as well as he quickly dodged attacks from multiple fronts as he landed on the ground, although the illusions could not harm him they covered his vision making it hard for him to dodge the weapons thrown by Kakashi, there was also the real Rei who was aiming for him so he had to be pretty careful.

'Isn't this too much, at this rate they will be tired in no time.'

Minato was right although they had placed him in a sticky situation it wouldn't last forever, he didn't know whether he should praise them for their desicivness or be disappointed at their rashness, but one thing was for sure he had to get out of this situation first.

Although surprised Minato still smiled as he dodged their attacks one after the other for a few Minutes, it was about time that the kids got tired.

Minato jumped again in the air and backflipped as he dodged another volley of weapons thrown at him.

Minato looked around at almost the same number of illusions that were present at the start with amazement, a few illusions had disappeared when he had touched them but not a single weapon thrown by Kakashi had hit any of the illusions, this meant that the Illusions that attacked him very placed very cleverly so that they do not disappear due to friendly fire and Kakashi's aim was also impeccable as he had hardly hit any illusions.

These kids, their teamwork was definitely amazing it was almost too perfect.

'Wait a minute' Minato suddenly realised that this situation was very strange the kids should have depleted their chakra by now and should be tired with the way they were attacking but that hadn't happened yet.

'Haha! i was too lost in my thoughts and underestimated them too much.'

Minato laughed dryly as he performed a hand sign as he dodged another volley of attacks.

"Release."

'I was in a genjutsu this whole time.'

As soon he performed the hand signs the illusions in front of him all disappeared and so did most of the weapons that were thrown at him in the next attack.

Not all of the weapons that he dodged were real but instead they were mixed in with the genjutsu illusions.

"Wow as expected of sensei you are way too good."

Only the real Rei was left attacking him as well who looked a little tired, the genjutsu was afterall pretty taxing on his little chakra pool.

The genjutsu he used was none other than the demonic illusions false surrounding jutsu, but even after all that Rei had not managed to reach Minato.

"It was a pretty good try, Rei and Kakashi."

Minato thought that they might be a little discouraged since they had put in so much effort, so he tried to cheer them up as he dodged Rei's slow attack as he jumped back.

But contrary to his expectations Rei was smiling as if he had already achieved what he wanted.

Minato was a bit confused because he still had the bells on him so why were they so happy.

As he landed on the ground he realised why they were smiling.

"Oh don't worry sensei we are not done yet."

Rei smiled as Minato's footing destabilized due to Kakashi's jutsu making him lose his balance.

*Earth style Mud wave jutsu*

Kakashi's jutsu was right on time and Rei launched himself with full speed towards Minato.

A tired Kakashi fell to his knees as he exhausted himself with this last jutsu.

*tting* *ting* *ting*

With this the bell test for the new team seven was over in just a few minutes.
