LET'S START THE CHAPTER

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Aki appeared a few miles away after body flicker jutsu, two Jonin were waiting for him, Aki had long surpassed Chunin level and was now a Jonin-level ninja. Of course, he has yet to do the Jonin exam.

Due to his skill, he was directly recommended to join the Jonin team after Morio had died a couple of years ago.

To understand how Morio had died, we must go back two years.

~~ Two Years Ago, ~~

For two years, Aki had relentlessly undertaken B-rank assassination missions with Morio. On one hand, it was to harden him, to get him accustomed to the life of a shinobi. But on the other, Aki had developed an obsession—a fixation on killing.

He would request mission after mission, each one more brutal than the last. Despite this, every time he returned, his eyes carried a mix of guilt and something darker—a growing madness. He was becoming a monster, each kill chipping away at his humanity.

Yet, over time, there were signs of recovery. He started to smile again, and small but noticeable changes gave Morio hope. With the aid of C's medical ninjutsu, Haruka's counseling, and Morio's guidance, Aki slowly stabilized.

They had initially thought that after he got out of his initial depression, he would soon be fine, but it had only sparked a deeper obsession. However, now, after years of struggle, Aki seemed to be returning to himself.

During these two years, Aki's focus was singular: mastering medical ninjutsu and carrying out kill missions. Morio occasionally taught him about teamwork and what it meant to be a true ninja.

"Today will be our last assassination mission," Aki said with a slight smile, a hint of relief in his voice. "I feel... better now," he added, looking at Morio.

"Yes, let's choose an escort mission next," Morio replied, noting Aki's improvement. Over the past two years, Morio had also taken on several A-rank missions, leaving Aki in the village to rest and recover.

Their current target was a group of bandits hiding near the passage between the Land of Lightning and the Land of Frost.

"Byakugan," Aki activated his dojutsu as they neared the mission area.

"I've found them," he said, deactivating his eyes. They moved in stealth, approaching the hideout with the precision of seasoned hunters. The ensuing battle wasn't a battle at all—it was a slaughter.

With the mission complete, they began their journey back, walking through the forest. As they reached a small clearing, something felt off.

Whoosh… whoosh… whoosh.

Several shuriken flew from all directions. Neither Aki nor Morio were sensory ninjas, so the ambush nearly succeeded, but they had been on guard.

"Byakugan! Rotation!" Aki quickly executed the Rotation Jutsu, shielding both of them from the barrage.

But then, ten Jonin wearing Leaf Village uniforms appeared seven of them with the unmistakable white eyes and bulging veins of the Hyuga clan—the Byakugan users, Aki's worst possible enemies at this point.

A realization hit Aki 'He had been found by Hiruzen or much worse Danzo,' eight of them surrounded Morio, while the remaining two advanced on Aki.

"Lightning Burial: Banquet of Lightning!" The battle on Morio's side erupted into a fierce exchange of jutsu.

Meanwhile, on Aki's side, the two Jonin smirked. "Let's take his eyes and kill him," one of them said, his tone dripping with malice. The other nodded, and they both lunged at Aki like hawks swooping down on prey.

But Aki wasn't easy prey. He activated the Flash Step Jutsu, disappearing from their sight. However, hiding from Byakugan users was nearly impossible. They quickly located him as he charged toward them, his target clear—the Jonin with the Byakugan.

Aki hadn't yet mastered the Rasengan, so he lacked powerful offensive jutsu, but he was skilled in taijutsu. He aimed to finish the fight quickly, slashing at the Hyuga Jonin with his kunai, but the Jonin countered effortlessly with his own.

At this point, Aki was still at a high Chunin level, unable to match the precision and power of the Hyuga's Gentle Fist. The civilian Jonin joined the fray, launching a "Fire Release: Fire Bullet Jutsu" at Aki.

Aki disappeared in smoke as soon as that jutsu hit him.

"It was a shadow clone" both shouted. Intense battle had made Hyuga focus on incoming Aki, while Aki went out of his range.

Now several Aki's joined the fray, each with taijutsu and kunai charged at the Jonin.

But the Jonin were experienced, they also had shadow clones though less than Aki, they were enough.

Even real Aki charged at them at some point when he felt they let their guard down, which turned out to be a faint.

Despite his best efforts, Aki was overwhelmed. The Hyuga Jonin seized the opportunity, gouging out Aki's eyes and sealing his chakra points with a brutal strike.

"Let's go. He won't survive without his sight, and his chakra is sealed," the Hyuga Jonin said coldly. They left Aki to die, moving to assist their comrades.

When they arrived, they found the head of the Hyuga clan delivering the final blow to Morio.

.

.

.

Aki lay motionlessly on the ground, his world plunged into darkness, and no access to chakra. If he was left like this, he would surely become food for wild animals.

He felt a sense of helplessness, for the first time in this world, he was defenseless and all alone. He struggled to crawl, he could not see but he refused to give up.

Maybe, he would end up in a village or a town if he kept crawling, or it could be worse with him ending up in a river filled with crocodiles, getting eaten by wildlife on the way, and so on.

But the slight chance was his chance at life, something he was willing to take, he did not know the condition of Mario's battle.

But Aki wasn't foolish enough to think Morio would win. After all, one of the ambushers was Hisashi, the Hyuga clan leader.

Every single breath was a torture and each second a reminder of the nightmare he had just faced. He had lost everything, his eyes, his chakra, and maybe soon his life.

But just then, something started to change.

His massive chakra broke through the blockade like a raging tsunami and a warmth started to spread in his entire being, dulling the pain.

Aki's breathing steadied and pain in his eye sockets was replaced with a strange, tingling sensation.

His body, battered and broken, began to heal at an accelerated rate, driven by an unknown force. The blue eyes he had just lost regenerated in his eye sockets like they were never lost.

His vision cleared and he could finally stand up without falling, he shouted "Byakugan" and it worked. His recovered eye was still Byakugan.

Aki finally remembered his third wish that nothing of his could be stolen. This was his first experience with the ability, his eyes even after they were taken returned to him.

But the vision he saw after activating Byakugan, stunned him, he could cover a far wider area with his vision now.

He had already increased the vision by 10km in radius, but now, it was extended by another 20km.

Focusing on the task at hand Aki focused and found a familiar chakra signature. He disappeared using a combination of flash step and body flicker technique.

Reaching the site of the battle, he found Morio's dead body.

Meanwhile at Konoha.

"Why do you have normal eyes?" Hisashi questioned the Hyuga Jonin, who supposedly had gotten Aki's eyes.

In front of them lay a box containing eyeballs that were without an ounce of chakra, or a sign indicating it to be Byakugan at some point in the past.

The clock turns back and now we are in the present.

~~ Back to Present ~~

Accompanied by the Jonin, he returned to the village. Aki encountered Hyuga assassins many times during the course of the last 2 years since the loss of Morio.

But he successfully lost his tail or killed them with the help of the two Jonins.

He did not join the two Jonins as a team member due to pure skill as previously stated.

He wasn't at Join-level so that is impossible, but it was purely for the protection of Raikage's Son. Being the village's only Byakugan user, and Raikage's Son won him this treatment.

'Kumogakure is the best village"

"Another mission well done," A's laughter echoed in the Raikage's office.

Losing Morio, his first and only team captain, and a great teacher was enough of a shock for Aki to be jolted awake.

Another reason for him to regain his senses was his quick brush with death. Getting reminded of your entire life within a fleeting moment did its wonder.

Anna's confession, Raikage's care, Haruka's nagging, and Mario's stern but practical advice one by one passed through his mind.

Aki restarted learning Rasengan, which took him five months to master.

It was for this reason, that the ambush succeeded, if only he had Rasengan 2 years ago he might have been able to save Morio.

Aki trained relentlessly before another mission and reached Jonin-rank in his taijutsu. He also trained in the village's jutsu, asking different Jonin to teach them different jutsu.

Fuinjutsu, Medical ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Ninjutsu… Aki did not leave a single thing that could power him up.

At just 10 years old, Aki had achieved a level of strength that set him apart from his peers.

Meanwhile, he knew that Itachi Uchiha was now 12—only a year away from the Uchiha massacre and Shisui's supposed death.

Aki was aware that his existence had caused some butterfly effects, such as Neji's father surviving, but he hadn't directly interfered with the Leaf Village yet.

He hoped the timeline would proceed as it originally had.

But the ambush two years ago had changed his mind, he was willing to kill Hisashi uncaring of the consequences.

"Thank you" Aki smiled at A and left the office.

Once home, Aki immediately summoned his clones and returned to his relentless training regimen.

He wanted to request a Jonin promotion this year or reach a level that Raikage is forced to promote him.

I hastily wrote this so... there might be glaring plot holes
