CHAPTER-25 Second Awakening

After the class, Kai went back to his room. Right now Tony and other two seniors are out on a mission and he is alone in the room.

Kai closed the door and sat cross legged on his bed. He retrieve a small green pouch from his storage belt. The pouch seems very ordinary but if any true expert would see it, they would realize that how valuable this thing is.

As soon as Kai opened the pouch, a strong soul power can be feel from it. The pouch actually contain a bone, bone is the size of a human head but it's shape is shape is very unique and seems to be belongs to a strong creature, by its shape it should be a torso bone.

The biggest difference between it and normal bone is that this bone release a blue shine. Yes this is not a normal bone but a soul bone.

Soul Bones are the bones which are left following the death of a soul beast. The chances of a Soul Beast dropping Soul Bones are extremely rare. But the possibility of dropping a Soul Bone does increase if the Soul Beast feels huge amount of resentment before getting killed, dies willingly or if the Soul Beast are grateful for their death.

The soul bone in the hand of Kai is also a treasure among soul bones, it is a 'torso bone. A person can use 6 Soul Bones on 6 parts of the body, which cannot be overlapped. According to their importance they are:

Torso Bone

Skull Bone

Left Arm Bone

Right Arm Bone

Left Leg Bone

Right Leg Bone

Among all the six bones, Torso bones are rarest and most important because unlike other soul bones which only affect a certain part of a body, torso gives all around increase to the whole body.

The torso bone that Kai has is given by his grandfather before he passed. Since he left rudra empire, this soul bone was always in his belt, but he never takes it out or tried to fuse with it, this bone is his biggest secret that no one know about.

Previously he actually lied to Sera and others that he already has absorbed a soul bone, but he not yet absorbed any.

The requirement for absorbing a soul bone is that the soul wielder needs to have at least three rings cultivation and the bone is also have to be compatible with their Martial Soul.

Kai had already reached three rings but the problem lies in compatibility. His Martial Soul is myriad spirit bird while this soul bone belongs to a hundred years old sea dragon.

Even though he also has water attribute like sea dragon but but both the species are worlds apart, that's why Kai was very hesitate to fuse with it but in order to increase his strength, he can't hold back anymore.

He quickly take off his upper clothes, he sat half naked as he try to calm himself and prepare for the absorption process.

He took a deep breath and released his Martial Soul as three white soul rings appear around him, then he raised the soul bone and placed it against his chest and pour soul power in it as the blue shine on the bone become brighter.

He released his grip on the bone and the bone stuck on his chest, he gritted his teeth in pain that comes from his chest. The born seems to be piercing it and try to fuse with his torso and his torso is also trying to absorb it like a hungry tiger.

Kai felt terrifying amount of pain coming from his chest which wants to break his whole body, in just few second his whole body is covered in sweet. This is the result of absorbing a wrong soul bone.

This soul bone belongs to a top tier soul beast and it can't be absorb by a mere three ringed soul fighter without over eighty percent compatibility. But right now it is too late for him to regret it, he can only beer the pain and continue the fusion process.

At this moment suddenly the times seems to be paused as everything in the room became still and a light appeared a meter away in front of him and turn into a two feet tall circular mirror that hovered in air.

The mirror was unique as glass seems to be a some kind of liquid with constant ripples in it. There seems to a human figure inside the mirror but its face can't be seen because of the continues ripples but it seems to be a man in a long blue robe.

The man is holding something in his right hand, he wave the hand and the thing come out of the mirror flying towards Kai's chest and attached to it by itself.

Now the thing can be seen clearly, it is actually an another soul bone but it was colorless and has a smooth surface, the bone seems to be carve out of a big piece of jade.

Then the mirror disappeared and time seems to be resume in the room, then the jade like soul bone smoothly enter Kai's chest without any resistance.

Kai who was still struggling with the pain and was completely oblivious of what has happened suddenly felt a warm energy entering through his chest and spreading throughout the whole body and eased the previous pain.

Kai don't know where the gentle energy have come from but he know that it is something good so quickly try to absorb it along with the sea dragon soul bone. As he absorb the energy, Kai felt like his body is going through a transformation as his strength risen.

His blood vessels expand in size and allow the newly energized blood to flow faster, which nourish his body and made it better. His soul power didn't increased by much but his genes seems to be improving at a terrifying speed.

His small bird wings expand and become larger in size as their shape also changed, the part attached the his back curved inward while outer part become muscular. They seems to resemble wings of a dragon, no they are actually really the dragon wings.

Wings changed in shape but they are still covered in white feathers but meanwhile his white soul rings changed in color as they become the combination of cyanblue color.

His hands also changed as white dragon scales covered them upto his wrists and become like dragon's claw. A dragon roar is subconsciously released from his mouth.

At same time in vice principal office, Mary suddenly felt unique soul power fluctuation as she look outside from side window and frown.

"Look like some kid have gotten a good fortune, I should take a look" as Mary say, her feet leaved the floor as she fly out from her window toward the students dormitory.

When a soul wielder's cultivation reached the soul sage level they are able to fly on a low altitude, as their cultivation increase their limit of flight also increase. Mary undoubtedly has enough cultivation to fly at high altitude without any trouble.

As she is going to the dormitory another figure appeared beside her and that was Ema, just like Mary she also felt that unusual soul fluctuation and came to look.

"What is this weird soul fluctuation, has a kid having a second awakening?" Ema Asked.

"It's seems so it is coming from the boy's dormitory" Mary said s they fly toward the source of energy and stopped at a gate.

"Kai, is he having a second awakening" when Mary have a better felt of the energy they immediately realize who it is belong.

She opened the gate and witness Kai releasing a dragon as a shadow of a white dragon surrounded in cyanblue radiance emit behind him and fuse with his body.

Mary and Ema are shock as they realize that what level of second awakening Kai is going through. His Martial Soul have not only just become stronger but it has has completely changed by its origin.

It used to be a bird but now it is a dragon, and they can tell by the energy fluctuation that it is not just any hybrid dragon but a true top tier dragon type Martial Soul.

"How...how it..." Ema having a hard time forming a sentence.

Change of a high tier Martial Soul into a top tier is not a trivial matter, many big families are trying to do it but only few had a fortune. In all of the Surya Empire there are only two family with top tier Martial Soul, impirial family and Sebastian Family.

Even if Sacred star sword which rarely appear in the impirial family is counted then their are still only three top tier Martial Souls across the empire, whereas many empires not have more than single such Martial Souls here is just one appear in front of them out of mutation.
