37 A Strange Ex

Faye's POV

The surroundings remained eerily quiet, with no sign of anyone, let alone the girl. I forced myself to stand, leaning against the wall as I slowly made my way out of the changing area. Every step felt like walking on a razor's edge.

The further I walked, the more unsettling it became. The stadium seemed abandoned, marked by bullet holes and signs of explosions in many places. Thankfully, as I moved outward, the distant sound of people became more audible, bringing some relief.

The changing area was a long corridor, and I had never felt a path so seemingly endless. Before exiting the changing area, a tall figure appeared not far away.

I suddenly became nervous, unsure if this person was friend or foe. As he approached, I noticed he was holding what seemed to be a gun!

My heart raced, but there was nowhere to hide.

Go back? My legs couldn't carry me fast enough now. I found myself facing a deadlock!

I stood there, waiting for the person to approach.
