Mei Xing watched as a lot of people started dancing to the jazz music playing. She wasn't sure if the party had begun because there was no welcome speech or anything that was could be use to start the dinner party. The entire place was filled with people walking, talking, toasting, and even eating. What was evident was that no one was staying close to their seat; instead, they were enjoying the lively atmosphere of the night, and no one was willing to spoil the fun. Mei Xing sat alone silently, with no one to interact with. The dinner party was really noisy, with people cheering and laughing all around. It surprised Mei Xing because celebrities and nobles seemed just like regular city folks, except for the luxurious life they lived. They were playful and boisterous, unable to keep their mouths shut for a minute.
