First Kill

A wave of yin energy burst forth from within his veins dispersing into the air. He opened his eye and checked his vein to confirm.

"Yes! Finally Ice profound Realm!"

He had been cultivating ever since Quan Ding left this room; trying to break through into the Ice Profound Realm and he was finally able to achieve it. The Ice Jade fallen pellet being a great reason for his success.

"Thank you, brother Quan Ding if I survive to live one day I will surely repay you this favor"

Yang Ding stretched his arms and pulled a few punches to see how good he can fight.

"Slower, much slower than before"

In anger, he smashed the mural in front of him.

Boom!

The mural which was sturdy and endowed with the serpent sculpture was now smashed to pieces.

That alone wasn't able to chase away his anger but at least he was calmer now.

"I need to find a way but first..."

Yang Ding planned to do what he was putting off for now.

He channeled his energy through his veins and onto the back of his palm where it circled the Tai chi symbol.

The Tai Chi Symbol shone in a viridescent light, popping up a screen in front of it.

Yang Ding raised his eyebrows.

There were some listings he hadn't seen before whereas there were also some that had popped up in front of his eyes before the backlash.

"One thing is certain, this system is giving a measurement of my strength and powers. I don't know about the Listed Tally though"

Sigh

He breathed a sigh of disappointment.

"I had worked so hard to get to this treasure only to get backslashed into a weakling"

"Now what should I do?"

He clenched his fists.

"I have to find as many resources as possible and regain my cultivation base again"

Striding through the chamber and then the corridor, he remembered the time he raided this place with his clan. Strangely other than the beasts here and there, there were no other dangers that lurked here. No traps, no circles, just a simple ruin.

"I should have figured out at that time that there can be no treasures in a barren place like this"

He shook his head.

"What's done is done"

"Now everything falls into place. Why wasn't this place protected? Why was no one able to reach here before me? All questions are answered. This place always had a curse in store for whoever arrived here"

He came out of the ruins. A heavy downpour greeted his face. His white clothes soaked in an instant, sticking to his jade-like skin. Water dripped from the ends of his hair, forming ripples on the floor.

"I can't go in the direction of the sect, and any other direction other than east would be riddled with beasts along the way. For now, let's just find a safe place with food and clothing"

He took his stance, and began running towards the east.

From time to time trees would appear in his way to break his speed but he didn't want to lose his momentum so he jumped sideways to dodge them as if they were oncoming arrows aimed at him.

"Roaar..." the beats roared chasing behind him. Three of them the shape of imps.

Yang Ding tried to ignore them, but they were catching up with him. The Imps, due to their ability to fly, could still match Yang Ding's speed.

"These stupid imps!"

Yang Ding turned around and unsheathed his sword. He had never thought that his killing intent will stop working on beasts of such low caliber.

With a swift motion of his sword, he cut off the wings of one of them.

"Sh*t I am yet not used to my new cultivation level"

Indeed. He had aimed for the head but cut off its wings instead. His speed was too slow and wielding his sword at this speed wasn't something he was used to.

He fixed his stance and tried to remember the days when he used to hunt as an Ice profound Realm cultivator.

He brandished his sword again and slashed it at the imp crawling towards him without any wings.

*Slash*

[First Monster Type Kill Bonus: 100]

A series of messages resounded in his head. He could see that the Tai Chi Symbol shone along with displaying the subsequent messages.

He raised his brows.

But didn't get much of an opportunity to think.

The other two imps followed.

Jolting back from his stance he sidestepped as he dodged from their claws.

Swinging his sword, he ended the life of the other two.

[True Profound Realm Beast Killed]

[Exp received: 35]

"Hmm, Again. But this time without the bonuses. Figures if they are given only for first kills"

He sheathed his sword back again and sat beside a nearby tree. The tree served as a canopy from the rain while he used his yang energy to dry himself. The heat flowing through his body was enough to evaporate the water-soaked on his body even though in the presence of the rather humid climate.

"Now, what is this thing?" He questioned himself, but even from his years of knowledge, he wasn't able to reach any conclusions. It seemed too bizarre and too otherworldly.

He never fed it with any of his energy, yet it shone and worked on its own as if it were alive. He circulated his energy in his veins again to check if there were any changes in his body, but there was none that he could notice.
