While heading to the trial ground, Ling Han and Elise ran into more and more cultivators. those who entered this holy ground had the inheritance in this ground as their primary goal

It was both the hardest but also held the most powerful skills and items within. Plus, it also had many weapons from those who were trying to pass this trial.

"Yin Hong. You should go with your friends. stay with us any longer might lead to your death." Elise said calmly as she looked at a group of females from the burning heaven sect

Yin Hong has broken through to the late earth immortal within this time. Her combat strength has also reached mid sky immortal.

"I understand. thank you for everything. If you have the chance, come to the Yin clan so I can thank you both." Yin Hong said with a slight bow before flying down to her friends.

After she left, Ling Han and Elise shot forward. Rushing towards a hole located in a mountain.

"The first test is easy. There are 5 rounds. Starting from the first round, we would fight a number of puppets equal to the number of people who entered. and from there on, these puppets would double." Ling Han said as he landed before the cave.

"so at the 5th round, we will fight 32 puppets," Elise asked to which Ling Han nodded.

"all of these puppets are of the fire Dao and would have the same cultivation as the highest cultivation amongst us." Ling Han said as he entered the cave

"the burning heaven sect ancestor got the burning heaven sutra from this place. He sealed his cultivation to earth immortal and entered this holy land with the 1,000 transformation armament. with the help of that item, he easily passed this trial." Ling Han said, shocking Elise

"People can do that?" Elise asked to which Ling Han nodded

"but the reward you get for doing so is much lower. He passed this trial, but he only got the second level of the burning heaven sutra. From then on, he would send sect disciples in with the 1,000 transformation armament. But they can't bring out the full power of the treasure, so they ended up dying within this trial." Ling Han said calmly

"I want the 1,000 transformation armament that would allow my lightning sword to grow inside. But I don't know where the treasures which have fallen go. I asked the system, and it says it is still here." Ling Han said calmly as Elise nodded

They continued walking forward for some time. They saw many dead bodies, from demon beasts to elves and humans.

Ling Han and Elise ignored this, and before long, they appeared before a door of flames. Walking through the fire, their sense of time and space went chaotic before they appeared before something which seemed to be an arena.

"that fire acts like a gate which burns space and time to form a tunnel to different places in this trial ground. the guy who sent this place up had great control of fire." Elise said with slight shock as she looked back at the fire door, which was slowly disappearing.

But she soon turned her attention in front of her as she saw a red puppet with the cultivation of late human immortal slowly appear.

"... Explode." Ling Han said calmly as the puppet exploded the next second. this is the Dao of rune. Ling Han and Elise had mastered this path.

A moment later, two puppets appeared, and with a simple world. They exploded.

The number continued to double, all the way up to 32 puppets. Yet, they all exploded with a simple world.

With the first part finished, Ling Han and Elise moved on to the next trail. Which was a test of the mind, a pressure fell upon them, with the might of a celestial king.

To pass this part of the trial. one had to last at least 5 seconds before moving on to the next part.

When the pressure arrived, the ground under Elise and Ling Han had cracks appear. the both of them almost fell to their knees, blood slowly appeared from their noses, as they tried their hardest to withstand the pressure

One second felt like years, yet Ling Han Elise didn't fall under this pressure and used it as a way to temper themselves.

Slowly, the seconds went by. 5 seconds went by, and Elise could take anymore, just as she was about to faint. The pressure on her disappeared.

She suddenly opened her eyes and found herself standing up. She looked towards Ling Han, who was standing at his side with closed eyes.

"an illusion? yet it felt so real." She said weakly as she sat down to rest her mind, 15 seconds later. Ling Han opened his eyes as he fell to the ground weakly

"Did we pass?" Ling Han asked as he rested his mind. He felt like he would faint at any moment.

"I don't know about me, but you lasted more than 15 seconds," Elise said softly. Ling Han nodded as he looked around in confusion

"Good talent is important in the path of cultivation, but you will not get far with weak minds. Those with good talent who give up when things get hard are just throwing their talents away. You who have passed these two trials, with cultivation below earth immortal. you may enter gain my true inheritance." a deep and powerful voice which sounded like thunder to one ear sounded, as a door made out of fire appeared before them

Ling Han and Elise looked at each other before getting up and walking through the door of fire. They appeared in the deepest parts of the mountain, where a pool of lava was at.

"... someone has triggered my hidden test." a deep calm voice sounded as the pool of lava moved, transforming into a human-like being.

"... you two are only at late human immortal, how did you two pass the trials... interesting. Reached such a high level in the part of runes." The lava man said in shock

"amazing. You mastered so many Dao to the level of the domain..." He spoke, making Ling Han and Elise feel as if they were but naked before this guy.

"you are." Ling Han asked with a slight frown

"I'm Fire Emperor Lu. the former ruler of this Galaxy, only this tiny string of consciousness reminds after my great battle. You wish to gain my inheritance." Fire emperor Lu said calmly. to which Ling Han nodded calmly

"... oh my god, you even comprehended the Dao of fire! Wind! Earth! and Water!" He suddenly yelled in shock, making the lava around him go chaotic.

"yeah." Ling Han said as he dodged the lava, which was sent flying due to his shock.

"monsters. You two. Monsters, you are both monsters." He yelled as that tiny sting of his soul almost left his body

"... She comprehended the Dao of time! You comprehended the Dao of Destruction. Impossible, I must be going mad. I spent millions of years comprehending just 1 Dao. It took you less than 20 years. I don't believe this." He yelled, almost about to go mad.

"calm down before your soul disappears," Elise said with a hint of disdain. What was so special about comprehending a heavenly Dao? once she reached celestial immortal, she would instantly be able to comprehend the weaker Dao like fire to the five or 6th level.

"..." Fire empower Lu was stunned to hear her slightly disdain, just as he was about to lash out. He softened, seeing it was Elise.

He calmed himself down before a door of flames appeared before them.

"my trails would be useless to people of your strength. You have shown great strength and mighty will powers. Only at late human immortal, yet you lasted so long against the pressure of a celestial. that alone gives you the right to gain the true inheritance. for thousands of years, I have waited for a Supreme human immortal. but who thought I would get you two." He said calmly

"supreme human immortals are real?" Ling Han asked calmly

"yes. for one to reach True immortal. They must at least step into supreme of one of the 5 realms. Human, earth, sky, heaven, Celestial. If you can step into supreme in any of them, you will break through into true immortal. if you can step into the supreme stage of all of them, the easier the breakthrough." He said calmly

"How strong was the person you fought. Immortals have immortal souls. Thousands of years should have been enough for you to real up and find a new body." Ling Han asked calmly

Once someone steps into human immortal, they would gain an immortal soul, no matter the injuries the soul takes. As long as it isn't destroyed, they could find heal and find a body to take over.

Their soul could even transform that body they took over, making it a perfect body.

Earth immortals can take this step forward and take over stuff like water, trees, and other stuff. But taking over things like this came at the risk of their soul disappearing.

If one tried to take over an ocean if they were weak. Then their soul will just be drowned by the endless sea.

"sigh. Her power of death was incredibly profound. Injuries she placed on use wouldn't heal when we sealed her away. We used the remaining power our bodies held to form the trail ground. Although our souls live, they are weak. If we leave this place, they will disappear. But we can't leave since if we do, she would be free. so we await." He said calmly

"How weak is she that you wait for earth immortals to enter to what skill her?" Ling Han asked

"it's not to kill but to absorb her strength. Over time she would be so powerless that we could kill her." He said calmly as Ling Han nodded as he and Elise walked through the door of fire.

"when absorbing her strength, be careful. As it could lead to your death, she can't use her power. But her Dao seemed to be one with her. Absorb her strength is like absorb death. Absorb a small amount, and don't let it overtake you. Lead a group in a form a formation to share the energy among you," He said as Ling Han and Elise disappeared

They appeared in a treasury where they saw much treasure.

"how many treasures can we take." Ling Han asked as he looked at the endless amount of treasures at heaven immortal grade and above

"... take what you like, don't take stuff you don't need or have use for." He said calmly as Ling Han nodded

He calmly asked the system for the best treasures and began to take everything. from the complete burning heaven sutra to the 1,000 transformation armament which was located here.

He got many treasures, from a candle which relaxed one to improve comprehension of the Dao. to a ship that can travel at speed close to light, and much other stuff which could be helpful to him and the Spirit Farm.

The treasure which could be used to open the gate to the other pocket space was a fire dragon ball, which could increase one firepower.

Elise didn't pick much stuff. She only picked a map that led to a treasure of the dragon race.

"... I don't remember that getting here." Fire emperor Lu said, not knowing how the map got in his treasure, he assumed it belonged to someone who entered this trial and died here.

After getting everything they needed, Ling Han asked one question before leaving.

"where is the best place to open the gate to the other pocket space." Ling Han asked calmly

"When you collect all 6 Treasures, just set them all up together, and they will open the trail ground." He said as a fire door leading outside this mountain appeared before them.

Ling Han nodded as they left. They left the mountain behind and arrived at a mountain which was empty, after which. They took out all 6 treasures.

The ice shield, a set of formations, a puppet, sword, thunder armor, and the fire dragon ball. These all laid before them, forming a circle that began to spin.

The formation flags suddenly shot off, followed by the other items. Ling Han and Elise quickly followed. They soon have to enter their half-demon dragon state just to keep up.

The flags soon landed on by a large pond. Each flag landed at each side of the pond. Slowly the water within the pong began to rise, each treasure Ling Han got landed on each flag.

The water slowly began to spin as the spinning increased. Space started to shatter. The water entered the shattered space forming a bridge into the other pocket space.

Ling Han and Elise looked at each other for a moment before they stepped on the bridge of water to enter the other space.

After a slight moment of dizziness, they arrived in a small world. Before them, a woman with white hair was chained up, formation flags and runes symbols laid all over the place.

The woman slowly lifted her head, coldly looking at Ling Han and Elise.

She was a beautiful young woman. She had beautiful clear blue eyes, long white hair, which longed white as snow. Unlike her appearance, she gave off a strong hatred, along with powerful killing intent.

Ling Han had a slight frown as she gave off a feeling he felt before. He just couldn't place his finger on it. In the end, he thought it must be the aura of death the tree of death gave off.

"so, may I know fairies name." Ling Han asked with a smile

"mortal, let me go. I have no hatred towards you." She said coldly, holding back her rage

"really? that hatred I felt just now might make me think you wanted to eat me alive. thank God I was wrong," Ling Han said with a smile

"you dare mock me? Do you think I will be locked up here for long? Wait until my big sister escapes hell. This whole immortal realm will be destroyed. even death wouldn't be enough to escape her rage." She said through gritted teeth

"alright. Do you think I fear you sister? I will give her some good tight slaps. Go ahead and call her. I will wait for her." Ling Han said mockingly

"y-you. You are mock the Goddess of death. Just wait. Death is everywhere. She sees all through the eyes of death. Your end is near." She said angrily

"Goddess of death? Your big sis is Hela?" Ling Han asked with a slight frown. Whoever came up with this world is just copying stuff from marvel. Pangu had no creative skills at all. At least try to hide it.

"So you know of my elder sister. Let me go, and I will turn a blind eye to everything that happened here... When we kill Odin, I might even give you a chance to become a god seeing how talented you are." She said calmly

"why would you want to kill the Odin? and since Hela is your sister, isn't he your father?" Ling Han asked calmly

"He is no father of mine. You dare even think of something like that. I will ripe out your tongue." She yelled angrily, sending a roll of notification of rage points to Ling Han

"alright. why do you want to kill him?" Ling Han asked, sitting down to hear a story

"... snort. Ever since Odin killed his father and lost his eye, he became a fool. He is no longer worthy to rule Asgard. Asgard should have conquered all 9 realms. but he became foolish, speaking none sense." She said carefully

"really? So you are saying when Odin gained knowledge, he became foolish?" Ling Han asked with a slight smile

"... you know not of you speak mortal. you dare make me question myself." She said angrily

"haha, I'm just asking questions." Ling Han said with a laugh

"Odin is a fool. Why else would he stop fighting and lead Asgard towards an age with no war? He took away everything, our right to enter Valhalla. all because he is a coward." She said angrily

"unbelievable. I can't believe he didn't even let you die in battle." Ling Han said in shock,

"yes, He..." She nodded her head in rage before she came froze, before looking at Ling Han angrily

"Mortal, I will kill you." She growled.

"haha, from what I can see... you are a follower. You can't think for yourself. You are the fool who is crying about not dying. Wanting to go to an afterlife where you fight none stop." Ling Han said with a shake of his head

"that's the greatest honor a warrior can have. Brunhild, the leader of the Valkyries. it the job of the Valkyries to pick the greatest warriors and take them to Valhalla, where they can train and await Ragnarok." She said angrily

"if warriors stop dying on the battlefield. The lesser warriors would enter Valhalla. And the fewer warriors we would have to face Ragnarok." She said coldly

"your agreement holds some weight. but when was Valhalla created?" Ling Han asked calmly

"... I don't know, 5 to 10 billions year ago." She said, not knowing what Ling Han was getting at

"so you are saying, the number of people that died all of these years ago. isn't enough for?" Ling Han asked calmly, which made her quiet

"... y-you now nothing. We need all the numbers we can to face Ragnarok?" She said softly, but it sounded more like a question. More than trillions of people have died within this time. Valkyries have been collecting the souls of talented warriors all across the 9 realms.

With their number and the formation they had. They had enough numbers to kill a True Gods, but was Ragnarok really that powerful?
