A LETTER OF GOODBYE

Life sometimes can be funny. What you expect when you face another day always be the opposite. Benzyl opened his eyes willy-nilly cause of the colds coming through the opened window. The curtains flapped swiftly forcing him to stare weakly at the door inside his room. He was forced to wake up since he has already opened his eyes even though it was still early. He stretched his arms happily then turned his head when yesterday's scene brought his mind back but to his surprise, what his eyes had expected to see, wasn't there anymore.

' Where the hell did she go this early? no, she can't be gone that far.' He thought throwing away the blankets walking inside the bathroom.'

' Ali....Ali....Alien. Ali....' he called but no respond came from inside so he turned and walked out of the room only his eyes to meet his brother's staring at him suspiciously at the staircase.'

' What? Have l grown another type of head? He said with a sarcastic tone.'

' Even greetings broh? What really happened?' asked Benny with a smile.'

' Huh! What do you think really happened?'

' Um- nothing. We only heard moans and groans yesterday night and.....'

' Stop it from there. Have you spotted Alien anywhere. I wonder where she might have gone this early.'

' Brother!!! Have you started missing her already yet it is barely a day? Did you and her did those cheeky games yesterday?' Despite Bean knowing him with his cold heart , he still mocked but few steps near the exit room Incase a war breaks.'

' Kid, shut up and mind your business. You'll understand that when you're old enough.'

' Whaaa.....t!!! You're too mean brother. You can't say that to Bean. He's old too, right brother Benny he does understands all this things you know.' Bailey retorted with a glass of juice in his hands objecting Benzyl.'

' Yes! Yes! You're right.'

' Huh! Do as you wish then.'

' I wonder what you drank yesterday, l might like to use it too.'

' Suit yourself with that then.' he fired walking towards the kitchen.'

' He really enjoyed it. And where exactly might she have gone? Brother looks worried.' Bailey whispered again making them to stare at him confusingly.'

' Nanny Ella! Nanny Ella! Good morning. How was your night ladies.' he greeted ignoring Bailey's words after entering the kitchen.'

' We're fine.'

' We're fine sir. What about you?'

' Am good Sara. Did you all enjoy yesterday's party?'

' Yes!!!!

' The party was great! What about you, where did you went? We never saw you after the music.'

' Uhh Sara! Don't bother yourself with that.... Umm! Anyway, has anyone seen Mrs Alien around here?'

' Mrs Alin? Nope. We thought that she was in your room cleaning.'

' Ooh! Is that so? Okay, thank you for that and today you must close early so that you can go and prepare yourself for the evening party. Since some of the guest aren't awake, continue preparing their breakfast after then you'll leave. Anything else to ask?'

' Nope.'

' Good. Nanny Ella, Please follow me l'll like to have a word with you.'

' Sure Boss.....' Stay here and I'll come to release you after am done with the big boss.' She whispered to the other maids before storming out of the kitchen following him.'

' Here l am Big Boss.'

' Do you happen to know where Alin might have gone or seen her anywhere? I have tried calling her but her phone has been switched off.'

' Actually when l was going to take wine to Mr Breaks so early l only spotted her coming out of your room hurriedly but since l was In a hurry, l thought maybe she was going to prepare for your tea like always.'

' Didn't you saw any sign written on her face. Maybe sadness, restless?'

' Yeah! She was in tears from my quick observation and before l could disappeared, l saw her receiving a phone call which l didn't here welll what she was saying nor whom she was talking to.'

' Any suspicious word that you might have heard before she left?'

' Sorry to ask Boss....But why all this interrogations? Is she missing?'

' I think so. Please help me, you know l can't loose her again especially after what had happened to her few days ago. What did you hear?'

' Uh! Let me try to reconnect. Uhh! I only heard eemm!!!! Errmmm! Why can't I remember.'

' Was she whispering?'

' Somehow, it seemed like someone was watching her or she was being threatened.'

' What? Fine. You may leave. Call me later incase you find anything or hear it.'

' Sure, I'll do it.'

When she stormed out, Benzyl kept on pacing around his conscious provoking him for his yesterday's actions. He thought that she got mad when they slept together and somehow took her advantage. Still in his own world, he leaned on the wall staring at the ceiling but when his eyes dropped down on his drawer, he saw a letter written to him. He quickly took it his heart thudding continuously in his ears but unable to read it. He thought that may be it wasn't the right time to open it but another devil inside him shouted and forced his hands to rip it even though he didn't want to know what was written. To his dismay he dropped down the floor holding the letter as he slowly read it word after word. The door opened but still he didn't bothered to raise his head and see who was standing there. His brothers peeked at him sadly, his already dismal condition showing that something was a mess.

Dear Benzyl Terry...

I know by now you'll be reading this letter after looking for me almost everywhere. It really hurts to leave like that without a word but hope when we'll see each other once more, you'll be able to forgive me and understand why l chose to leave than to stay. It wasn't easy to make such a hard decision since l was forced to choose between you and me by someone very important in your life. I tried telling you yesterday but l was on watch by unknown and if l can tell you, one of your guards might be a suspect. Don't shade your tears right now cause where l have gone, am hurting too and wondering when I'll see you again. Also my father's company is in chaos and there's no one to handle it so l hope if by any chance we come to meet again, you'll be happy to meet me and take me in your arms again like yesterday. I'll never regret for what you did to me and it was my decision too before l leave. Please don't take me wrong, that l took you as an advantage, we both wanted it and l really enjoyed it.

' Once again am asking for your forgiveness and l promise even if l die, I'll still want to see that sweet smile on your cute face. I never said l loved you in your face except yesterday and l am repeating again, I LOVE YOU Terry, more than my life and thank you for being closer to me even when l was at the longest journey of my life with all the troubles have caused you. I decided to write a letter of goodbye to you since my time was limited. I was supposed to leave yesterday at the party but l didn't cause of you, just to make sure you're safe with your brothers, l had to quit and leave you forever. Don't stay single for long waiting for my return yet maybe l may not come back, but your name will always stay here in my heart, you were my first love and hope you forgive me for what l have done. Hope next time when I'll be able to set my eyes on you, you would have known to call my name, Alin. It hurts to leave you but l have no other choice than to say, GOOD BYE love.

The last words broke him mostly and for the first time, he broke into tears Infront of his brothers. Who could have thought a cold hearted man like him will cry for a girl. She might have possessed him for sure. They all walked in taking him in their arms just to cool him down. He stayed there like a rock eyes staring at the letter uncountless times to the point that tears in his eyes, dried at the same time with his throat.

' Why? Why? You could have told me and maybe we would have got a solution. Why leave without a word apart from a letter consisted only of pains and sorrows in my heart. Didn't you trust me that much?' he asked no one silently after his brothers have walked out of his room. What kind of help would they have offered when the one being helped is not moving from his spot. Leave alone moving, they thought that maybe he wasn't breathing at all, his heart might have run away and forget his soul.
