Chapter two

All the talking stops the movement my Alpha comes inside the ballroom. I knew, that his son almost had come of the age where he would be Alpha. 25 years. I know his son, because we went to school together. I knew, that he would be an good Alpha with my brother as his Beta. His name is Sander and doesn't have a mate yet. I knew, that he wasn't mine because I had seen him before. Not that I would mind. He was a good leader and sweet, but he deserved a Luna, who is strong and a leader. Something I wasn't.

After a couple of hours I am tired and want to go home. I have been here long enough for my family to be satisfied. I walk out of the big ballroom and out in the hallway. On my way I hear two male voices. One is happy and the other is tired and frustrated. I stop and am about the go way, when I recognize the voice. Dallas is talking to someone and my wolf gets excited. "She isn't here", the other male voices say. It's hard and deep and very masculine. Something in the voice told me that it was strong. "She could still be. Have you talked to any of the girls?", Dallas asks, "I don't need a soul mate. If I don't find her, I know what I will do", he says. "You will make Vick your chosen mate", Dallas says. No he doesn't. I can't remember Accalia be as mad as she was in that movement. "Can you smell that?", He then asks. "No", Dallas says. I can smell something too. Cinnamon and apples. "Are you sure? The smell is strong", he says, "Maybe it's your mate", Dallas says excited. "Mate?", the man says. I hear footsteps come closer and dark brown eyes meet mine. He looks confused and I am too. My wolf is happy, but I don't feel anything. "Oh..", I hear Dallas voice behind the man that stands before me.

He extends his hand to me and nods. "Hello miss, I am Alpha Callan Snow of the Blood moon pack. I believe that you are my mate", he says with confident. I take his hand slowly and lower my glaze. "Hello Alpha Callan", I say and then see him in the eye. "My name is Lenea Storm of the Silver moon pack", I can't believe this is happening. Not only did I meet my mate, but also it is an Alpha. "Glad to meet you", he says and smiles but it doesn't reach his eyes. "Lenea, this is my Beta Dallas", he says and Dallas comes to us. He doesn't look any happy about this. "We have met", Dallas says and nods to me, "He saved me from falling, when I came", I say as Callan looks at both of us. Shouldn't meeting your mate give your butterflies and make firework. I have heard everything about it from everyone I know, but I don't feel anything. Accalia does. She is really happy about it, but I am not. My dream vanished in thin air.

"Lenea?", Callan says and I know that I zoomed out for a minute. "Sorry", I say and look him in the eyes again, "I said, that we leave in the morning". My world despaired with those words. Not only did my dreams vanish. I had to go with him. A man I knew nothing about to another state. I know where the Blood moon pack was located. It was an ally pack with mine, but was in a different state. The biggest pack in the south where mine is the biggest in the north. "Okay", I say and nod. I knew my family would be happy for me. A Betas daughter gets mated with an Alpha. "Alpha Callan", I hear a voice behind me. That's my Alphas voice. "Alpha Tristan", Callan says. "I see you have met young Lenea", he says. Callan nods, "She is my mate". "Your mate?", my Alphas says. I can see he smiles. "She is the daughter of my beta Duncan", he says. "I thought the name Storm sounded familiar", Callan says and smiles. "I am happy for you, Lenea. Your father will be proud when you tell him". I nod and have no words. I hate, that I don't have anything to say about this. "We will leave the first in the morning", Callan says and my Alpha nods. "Then this young lady has to go home and pack", he says, which confuse Callan, "She doesn't live here?", Alpha Tristan shakes his head. "No, she lives with her parent in the area", he says. Everything after that is in a blur. I don't remember the car ride back home only that Callan and Dallas drove me. I remember my mother's excitement and how proud my dad was. My mom began packing my thing as my dad told Callan all about me. I just walked out of the house and sat on the porch hoping to be alone.
