Eri shuddered as though a baby thrown in the snow. Wondering how his name had been spelled out to this horror being.

This was surely death and his instinct yelled he was going to die.

There was no hope in running out. The world was no longer existing and he didn't know if he stepped out, what was the probability he wouldn't get infected.

Could he even make it to the door in time?

'Damn I hate horror scenes.'

If this was the morning he would have gotten a bit of gutsy to face it, but at night the perfect synchrony of fear and horror were at sync.

Was he a mad man to try and defy this law?

How was this a reward, a murderer, from sight you could tell he would kill you at ease.

Maybe he should have not watched the broadcast till the end maybe he wouldn't be in the current predicament.

A reward after a reward? Eri shook even more crazed by the things he read from the hologram.

After this the purple hologram dissapeared and at the same moment he heard the chattering footsteps at a fast state that jolted him to turn around to the horror doll.

*Gulp!*

It was no longer there.

Eri's insides began to scream for help with sweat pouring out of his expression quickly.

'Fuck, this is truly a horror movie.'

*Clank!*

The next follow up of steps were much closer Jolting Eri even more that he had a slight gasp.

After this he held his mouth with his left trying to calm himself down. He was a great fighter but against fear he was nothing but a chicken.

If only he had lights..... That was it, the backup lights.

'Fuck me! Why did I put it off?' Eri cried to himself running through his mind the distance he needed to go before reaching the generator.

Too far without getting noticed.

'The worst part is I don't know where this bastard is. Using the shadows and it's small size to conceal itself, I won't be able to win like this.'

"You have my second knife Eri, why don't you come give it to me!"

The voice of the horror doll had gotten much worse than it was earlier and it made his head get lighter.

*Clank!*

Another close pacing.

Eri would never fall for this horror trick meant for little kids with a big curiosity, 'i hate horror doesn't me I don't watch them prick.'

"I gat a question for you?"

Eri gulped at the mind games the doll was trying to play.

"Do you like fucking people up, do you like blood, because man, the way you gut the throat of this fellow people makes you as much of a monster as I am."

Eri barely flinched hearing the tiptoeing steps of the Horror doll. Trying to use it's voice to cover up it's silent movement.

'A smooth trick but I won't fall for it.'

"You might think it will take more than ten minutes to get to you but..... I AM CLOSER TO YOUR ASS!"

The way he screamed the last part made Eri turn around swiftly to his ass and he saw it too fast to react.

The empty wind and sign he was being tricked.

For a second there he thought he was really gone. 'The doll keeps on screaming in ways that keeps me agitated, this was I would make a mistake--- I need to calm myself.' He also needed to make his move and turn on the lights.

"You might think we are aliens but I could call us supernatural and beyond your imagination....."

Summoning his courage Eri calculated the feet off from the shelf he hid behind to the next, it would take him at least two seconds to reach there at top speed.

He didn't want to overthink it so he readied himself and go.

As he left the cover of the last shelf, he felt unprotected and watched for the doll carefully.

He was letting himself get exposed and if he was caught, that meant death. After reaching a second and totally out of the protection the shelf gave...

"GOTTCHA NOW ERI!"

"Fuck!"

*CLANK! CLANK! CLANK! CLANK!*

Eri's heart went cold his breath shut down as the horror doll closed in on him quickly.

Maybe he should have thought it through a bit more, he turned his gaze to it and saw..... Nothing.

It was another plan to make him scream out his location, however it seemed so real like an actual mirage. Eri could have sworn it was so close.

His breathing and his bladder had gotten blocked, his flesh felt like they were another entity entirely from his bones.

This was the typical meaning of scared to death.

'Kepp on going Eri, you are letting yourself get carried away, you can win this.'

Not to expose himself too much Eri turned his gaze away to the shelf just a few paces away.

"Caught you!"

His heart stopped beating, he exhaled loudly as his mouth dropped. Just an inch from his face was the hideous, scary face of the Horror doll.

Getting a closer look at it now made him quiver even more, red eyes, a face of make-up in a heart jerking murderous way, an evil grin with it's sharp rolls of teeth and the stench of death with a lot of bloodlust.

'This is a mirage... A mirage.... Right... Gulp!'

"Mummy." That came out wrong.

*Splooosh!*

The doll moved with lightning speed raising it's dagger and plunging it into Eri's eye socket.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Eri screamed rolling and writhing on the floor in so much pain. The next thing he felt at the hind of his neck was another...

*SPLOOOSH!*

In an instant Eri was soaked and lost of energy, all he did now was cough up blood and crawl aimlessly away from the Horror doll.

It had just been a minute since the first stab and he attained multiple stabs on his legs and sides. The doll was giving him a slow and painful death.

"Hehehehehehehehehehehegegegeggegehehrhgeheh!!!" It laughed sinking it's knife into Eri's ankle twisting it until it popped off his foot.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Though he was too weak to scream properly, loosing a leg made this vibrant sound from his throat.

It pained him even more to hear the Horror doll make fun of his dillema, laughing and climbing on Eri's body.

It walked over him like he was a piece of rag until finally reaching his neck. The horror doll sat on him raising his knife and placing the tip of it on Eri's hind neck.

"Man, what a weak bastard you turned out to be."

Eri could no longer accept it, if he were to die what else was there to fear anymore.

He grasped his knife's handle very firmly and with a mighty force he flipped himself over alongside the horror doll who was not expecting such a reaction.

Before the horror doll could process anything, Eri was already on top of him plunging his knife into his skull.

"HAAGGGAAAKKK!" The doll coughed up blood grabbing Eri by the throat and squeezing hard.

Unfortunately a stab to the brain was as effective as always and soon enough the wound became so fatal the Horror doll was unable to move. All he did was look around in disdain.

Eri also crashed to his face lost of energy but glad he got a glimpse of revenge.

"You humans..... Are... Not noble enough... I like it..... Tricky and....."

With that the horror doll went silent, it was dead.

'What a scary asshole! I don't know but, I have a lot of regrets.'

Eri felt his life quick sip out of him and his eyes began to dim, 'Looks like, I won't make it sis.'

All that were present in the store died in the store including Eri who had fought the longest share of battle. It pained him to leave this way, however this was the end.
