37: Deku

In the darkness, I could see my mom, my husband, my kids, and my close friends. They were talking and laughing and having a good time. "This won't last long." It was Shigaraki's voice, echoing all around me. Suddenly, the scene crumbled to dust, and I was left alone. "Now it's your turn, Izuku Midoriya!" All For One's voice boomed. I looked around, but found myself staring into a mirror, one that showed my reflection. But that wasn't all of it. In the mirror, All For One was behind me, his hands placed on my head. He was stealing my quirk, then leaving me to lay there, frozen. "The world will come to its end."

My eyes flew open, and I shot up, Blackwhip bursting from my back. "Welcome back, Izuku." I looked around, trying to find the source of that voice, and saw my husband sitting next to me, holding my hand, his eyes showing worry and concern and anger. I tried to calm myself, tried to force Blackwhip to go away, but Bakugo wrapped me in a hug. "Hey, it's ok. It was just a nightmare. Your safe, I'm safe, our kids are safe, everyone is safe. Nothings going to happen. The world is safe." I don't know what happened in that moment, but I guess it was his comforting touch, his soothing words, that led me to wrap my arms around him, and hold onto his shirt like my life depended on it, my eyes watering before I could stop the tears. Bakugo ran a hand through my hair, and I cries into his shoulder, needing to get it out of my system. This nightmare was newer. I'd seen something similar, honestly, but this one had been a hundred times worse.

Once I calmed down, Bakugo caught me up on what had happened, and memories of the fight flashed through my mind. "So, what was it that hit me in the head?" I asked, still confused on that part. I should've been asking how the villains were back. I should've been asking if the kids were ok. "Oh, that. It was, um, one of Spinner's swords. But it just grazed you, so with a few stitches and months of healing, the doctors said you'd be good to go." I laid back on my hospital bed. "Thank goodness. How are the kids?" "Tenshi, Asahi, and Namie came out with small scratches. Ren was burned a little, and he'll be left with some scaring, but he's alive." "Good. Oh-and Tenshi's quirk manifested after I was hit." "Really? Your kidding! What was it?" Bakugo asked, smiling. "Geokinis. She can control the Earth." "That would explain why the ground was shaking." "Daddy?" I looked to the door, and smiled at the sight of our four kids, standing in the doorway. "I'm awake." Instantly, they climbed up on the bed, and rushed to tackle me in a group hug. "That was so scary!" Namie whispered, burying her head in my shoulder. "I think it was cool and scary! Did you see the way Daddy and Papa fought?" Asahi said, holding my other hand. "They were so strong! Will we grow that strong?" Tenshi asked, sitting in my lap. "With time and training, yes. You'll be as strong as us." I told them, and then looked over at Ren, who was sitting on the foot of the bed. The left side of his face was covered in scars, and was still a bit irritated, which sparked some anger in me. His eye had spots of white in it. Dabi had done that. He and Spinner and Toga had attacked my family. But they wouldn't get away with that. Bakugo and I, along with the police and other heroes, would make sure they were caught.
