Kingpin walked behind Qin Li, slightly lowering his head, and said, "Thank you, Father Li. I'll be joining this party." After Kingpin spoke, the other big shots in the room also expressed their willingness to join the crazy party. The arms dealer had already called his men to have bullets and large knives silver-plated, planning to make a huge profit while attending the party.
"Since everyone understands, let this count be the start of our party," Qin Li said, raising his hand. A golden cross materialized before him and, with a wave, flew towards the vampire count. Before the cross even touched the count, he was already burned by the holy light until his skin disappeared. When the cross made contact, it shattered and formed a magic circle centered on the cross, releasing a burst of golden light. The vampire count was completely obliterated, leaving not even a trace of ash.
"Quite eco-friendly, no remnants left," Qin Li commented on his handiwork, nodding. The others were stunned by the miracle before them. "By the way, this is their base. I got this intel from that big leader. You all can arrange things as you see fit," Qin Li suddenly remembered and handed Kingpin and the others the vampire base locations he had gotten from the black egg.
"Although it's not the first time I've seen your divine power, Father Li, every time it's still incomparable," Kingpin said after watching Qin Li deal with the vampire count. "Now it's our turn. Let's get moving." After organizing everyone, Kingpin decisively gave the order, and they all left the church to get in their cars and prepare for tonight's wild party.
Soon, only Qin Li and Old Chen were left in the church. Old Chen was stunned by the vampire, and the thought that such creatures were close by made him shudder.
"Kid, is this thing like the zombies in our country? If bitten, do you turn into one?" Old Chen asked quietly as he approached Qin Li, wary of any more vampires suddenly appearing.
"It's not quite like that. It seems you need to be purebred, like that count, to spread the infection," Qin Li replied uncertainly. After all, if a regular vampire could turn humans into vampires, that would be a huge problem.
"Alright, I'll head back. Might as well set up some safety measures," Old Chen said, realizing his own home might not be safe either.
"Okay, go ahead. Wait, take this with you. That vampire count seemed pretty afraid of it," Qin Li said thoughtfully, opening his system panel and pulling out a cross from his personal warehouse. To Old Chen, it looked as if the cross suddenly appeared beside Qin Li. Staring at the cross, which was primarily white with red and gold flowing light, Old Chen's eyes widened.
"This cross is called 'Resurrection of Life.' It's something I collected back in the day—part of my collection obsession," Qin Li laughed. "Take it with you; we can deal with the crisis later."
"Thanks, kid," Old Chen said without hesitation. As fellow countrymen, they helped each other without formalities. After Old Chen left, the church returned to its usual quiet. Qin Li wasn't feeling sleepy, so he walked to the bar to have a drink while waiting for Kingpin and the others' call. After all, they were dealing with vampires, and there might be a situation where they'd need his help.
To his surprise, after waiting an hour, it wasn't Kingpin's call he received, but Black Egg's. Standing at the bar, Black Egg was slightly out of breath, his usually neat trench coat now slightly disheveled.
"Hey, Qin Li! Can you tell me what's going on with all these gangs flying around New York? They've already filed complaints with the Safety Council!" Fury asked, his face dark with frustration, though it was already naturally that way.
"Oh~ I think I was pretty clear about this earlier today. If they won't leave, then they'll disappear," Qin Li replied nonchalantly. "If they leave alive, they'll just cause trouble elsewhere. It's better to deal with them all at once."
"Fine, get rid of them all, but you made such a mess. You want my people to clean up after you?" Fury glared at Qin Li, questioning him.
"Why don't you deal with them, and I'll handle the aftermath? You'll just sacrifice a few to save the majority, playing the righteous role? You wouldn't even do that if I told you to," Qin Li said, staring back at Fury.
"Damn it! Fine. Just this once. S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't in the business of handling these petty matters," Fury said helplessly.
"Don't worry, there will definitely be a next time. After all, you guys won't handle it, but I might. Though it won't be with my own hands," Qin Li stood up and walked toward the cross, grabbing the shining divine weapon. He threw it into the air, and the glowing cross spun once before landing behind him, floating in place. He continued, "But this time, I'll make a move."
As Qin Li left the church, Fury helplessly followed him out. Trying to use others, especially a powerful person, always backfires when plans don't keep up with changes. When Qin Li reached the street, his phone rang. He checked and saw it was Kingpin calling, so he answered.
"Kingpin, what's going on? Trouble with the operation?" Qin Li asked.
"Father Li, everything's going smoothly, but it seems this base might be their main headquarters. It's not just vampires, but mutants too. So we'd like to trouble you to come here," Kingpin's voice came through the phone, accompanied by gunfire and shouting.
"Alright, no problem. The last one should be fun too. Send me the address," Qin Li said indifferently.
"The address has been sent. We await your presence," Kingpin said before silently hanging up.
Qin Li checked the address on his phone and recognized it as the high-end club Matt had mentioned earlier. It seemed luck was on his side. He took out a teleportation potion from his warehouse. It had been modified during his journey—now he could teleport anywhere he wanted, as long as he named the location or person, even if he had never been there before.
With a flash, Qin Li appeared in front of the high-end club. His sudden arrival caused both sides of the ongoing gunfight to pause, wondering if he was friend or foe.
"Where's Kingpin?" Qin Li asked, confused.
One of the thugs crouched behind a car and shouted, "Boss Kingpin was just grabbed and flown off that way!" He pointed to a hole in the second-floor wall, clearly where Kingpin had been thrown.
"Thanks, I'll go see if Kingpin's still alive," Qin Li said, squatting down and jumping effortlessly across the gap. As the ground cracked beneath him, he launched himself through the building Kingpin had crashed into. Upon reaching the final building, he found Kingpin, clearly used as a battering ram, having crashed through several buildings.
Inside, heavy fighting sounds filled the air, accompanied by a mocking voice taunting Kingpin. Qin Li peered inside and saw the familiar figure of Purple Man next to Kingpin and there was a woman—likely Jessica Jones, given the clues. Seems like today would be quite the haul.
