Prologue: Start

Monday, January 11, 2010, 9:00 am, in an unknown location

"So they finally agreed to let me go through with the termination," a male voice asked, though it sounded like a statement.

The male was walking down a dimly lit hallway, followed by four armed operatives dressed in black high-grade military attire with a symbol on their shoulders. The symbol itself looked like a circle with three protruding rectangles around three arrow tails with three words below it: Secure. Contain. Protect. or SCP.

"Yes, that's right, Dr. Clef," one of the operatives said in a neutral tone.

"Good."

Dr. Clef is a 5'3" male with blonde hair, fair skin, and heterochromatic eyes—his left being green and his right being blue. He was wearing a blue dress shirt with a blue tie, black pants, a black belt, black dress shoes, and a long white scientist coat with a large brown strap bag across his shoulder. If you looked at his forehead, you would see a third eye, hazel in color. As they were walking, they came to a stop at a large iron door with the S.C.P. symbol on it in white with a key card scanner to the left of the door. Dr. Clef pulled out a red keycard with Level 5 security printed on it. Dr. Clef turned to look at the guards and said,

"Keep guard until I return or, should any problems emerge, contact the other task force operatives."

"Yes, Dr. Clef."

"Good."

And with that, he walked over to the scanner, swiped his keycard, and the door slowly slid open, revealing a moderately sized 17 ft by 17 ft room furnished with one bed, one EKG machine, and one IV filled with pentobarbital mixed with an unknown liquid. Laying on the bed was a little girl who looked around 8 years old, standing at around a meter tall. She had shoulder-length blond hair and fair skin, and her eyes "shimmer" a gray-green shade, though you couldn't see it now as she was in a state of coma. She was wearing a white hospital gown. The door closed behind Dr. Clef as he took off the bag that he was carrying, placed it on the floor, and started to go through it. It took him a couple of seconds, but he found what he was looking for. As he pulled it from his bag, it was a 1 ft long metal nail stake with a gray-green color. He stood tall as he walked over to the girl's bed, stake in hand.

As he raised the stake, he noticed that the EKG machine heart rate monitor was increasing. His eyes widened as he looked back over to the girl, his three eyes met a pair of gray-green eyes staring back at him. He felt a strange sensation wash over him. Though as odd as the sensation may be, Clef was already aware of what was happening. Light energy was released from the system screen, taking the form of a small figure.

"Shit, she's awake, and she's already starting to use her powers. She just woke up; she won't be able to use her abilities to their full capabilities. I'll have to end this fast before she tries something else," he thought as he was bringing down the spike over her heart.

But as he was doing so, the girl seemed to have noticed what he was doing because her eyes widened with fear, though he could see the sleepiness in her eyes. Her body started to glow a soft whitish-blue. Mere seconds before Dr. Clef pierced her chest into her heart, she vanished with a blue flash. When the light died down, it revealed Dr. Clef with the stake plunged into the bed the girl was in. When he noticed that the girl wasn't there, he cursed.

"Shit."

He pulled out a walkie-talkie from his coat, brought it up to his face, turned it on, and said,

"Foundation, we have a problem." His voice filled with urgency. As he let the message go through, he heard a voice reply.

"Dr. Clef, what's the issue?" A female voice came through with a serious tone. Clef, who was leaving the room in a hurry, responded,

"We have a containment breach. SCP-239 woke up before her termination, and she seemed to have teleported out of her cell. I want her to be found. Check every nook and cranny."

Clef ordered as he left the room/cell followed by the four guards.

"Yes, sir." With that, he put the walkie-talkie back into his coat as alarms started to go off.

He thought to himself, "Where did you go?"

At that same time, in Jamaica, Ashbury Avenue

A boy no older than eighteen was outside cleaning up the front of his yard, raking along leaves to get them set into a garbage bag. The teen was 5 ft 5 inches, had dark skin, long black hair that reached his shoulders, and brown eyes. He was wearing a multi-colored shirt, a pair of black shorts that reached his knees, and a pair of black sandals. As he was raking up the garbage, a silent flash of light happened behind him. As he turned around, he saw a little girl lying on the ground in a hospital gown.

The teen's eyes widened in shock and surprise as he shook his head and ran over to the girl to check on her condition, not questioning where she came from at the time. Not knowing what he did would change his life forever.
