Destruction of the Verdant Forest

Seth ran out of the river and took to the air, pausing to observe the ancient beast burrowing out of the ground. As he watched the colossal worm slowly rise towards him, he had a solemn expression on his face.

Edward was standing on the worm's head, staring straight at Seth, his eyes still gleaming purple - "Greetings, Seth. You didn't wish to take the Heigong to new heights? This is your chance to make a difference. The Void Mother will soon conquer everything."

When Seth raised his spear towards the worm, black and red Qi began to accumulate in the tip of the spear. -"Do you expect me to surrender to this? All I want to do is restore the Heigong to its former grandeur, not become a host for such a monster." As Seth finished speaking, a beam of Qi blasted out of his spear, directly aimed at Edward.

-"You shouldn't insult the Void Mother, Seth; what's the point of being so stubborn? The world is going to change, and we have the chance to lead the charge toward that transformation." Edward continued talking, seemingly unconcerned with the attack coming his way. "You will realize what actually lies ahead of all of us only after receiving the Void Mother blessing," Edward said as the faceless worm opened its grotesque jaws, a purple eye shining brightly inside.

Seth's strike was gobbled up by the worm, who instantly spit forth a beam of purple energy towards him. Seth darted away from the ray and prepared a new attack, but the worm burrowed down deeper into the soil.

Seth could still feel the worm as its massive bulk ravaged the forest soil below him. He prepared his strike and braced himself for the worm's next move when a rift in space emerged next to him.

Seth stabbed his spear at the worm, who appeared from the rift and lounged at him with his hideous maw. Seth was on high alert because Edward had gone missing. While Seth's main concern was the worm, he was aware that Edward may still pull some pranks.

Magnus stood there terrified as Seth and the worm traded blows, the monster's sudden appearance caught him off guard. Magnus first intended to remain on the sidelines of the conflict, but as time passed, he began to feel pressed.

Magnus clenched his teeth, knowing that if the worm was allowed to run rampant, it would do far too much harm. Magnus took a deep breath and conjured up a sun over the battlefield.

Seth sensed the spell above him and rushed away from it, but the worm, unlike him, reacted too late, and the sun came crashing down, scorching all it touched.

Seth nodded as he noticed Magnus out in the distance. While he despised the Eternal Sun Sect and Magnus, his assistance was now vitally needed. So he promptly approached Magnus. -" Is there a truce?" Seth quickly tried to confirm Magnus plan

Magnus' gaze was solemn as he examined the worm. He nodded and proceeded to conjure another magic with a melancholy sigh. Magnus needed to buy time because he didn't know Elias's condition - "Maven is here as well, he is occupied for the time being, but he may soon join us."

When Magnus mentioned Maven, Seth came to a halt, his eyes flashing with wrath. Seth took a deep breath and mockingly chuckled as he suppressed his hatred for Maven. -"Who would have guessed that one day I'd be fighting with all of you?"

-" Just fellow cultivators banding together against a shared peril; if the Heigong wasn't so arrogant, this could happen more frequently." Magnus, too, felt a strange feeling in his stomach; only a scenario like this could bring them together; after all, the animosity between the Heigong and the Eternal Sun Sect was too deep.

"Shall we get started? This eldritch monstrosity is nearly free." Seth's wings swooped swiftly as his spear began to flash brightly.

The worm had barely broken free from Magnus' spell when another purple fissure opened, and she ran towards it. Magnus and Seth stiffened as the worm vanished completely. They were troubled as they awaited the monster's next onslaught.

Magnus quickly performed a defense spell to stop the beast's attack as the worm reappeared close to them. "Aegis Solaris!" The worm crashed against Magnus' barrier, knocking it back.

The beast grunted in anguish as it slammed into the ground, causing tremors to reverberate throughout the forest. Seth descended with his spear, seeing the beast still dazed from the impact. Seth's red Qi was totally engulfing him as the spear blazed towards the worm's head. The worm staggered again as a result of Seth's blow, and it lay on the ground for a few more seconds.

Philips, who was standing near the battleground, grimaced. He knew that after this battle, the Verdant Forest would be a distant memory. - "We should also get out of here. We can only observe a fight of saints from afar." Philips was infuriated that he couldn't take part in such a crucial struggle.

Jeffrey was with his party just underneath him, and he, too, was taken aback by the battle. This fight's every move altered the terrain around them. - "Is Grandfather there? Where are Luckas and Byrth?" Jeffrey was taken aback; it was his first time witnessing combat of this magnitude, and he felt a twinge of pride that his grandfather was someone of this caliber.

-" I couldn't detect Maven energy there; he must be with Luckas." Philips assumed that Maven would not abandon Luckas; after all, he appeared to value him too highly to leave him. " Let's go, this is just the starting point of the battle."

While Philips and the others fled, Luckas stared in terror at the beast, its enormous size making everyone who looked at it feel little. Byrth had already gotten up and grabbed Luckas' arm, desperate to get out of here.

Noah, on the other hand, was even faster; as soon as he noticed the beast emerging from the earth, he ran towards Madeline and rescued her. The destruction of the conflict engulfed the entire party, no matter how much they ran, they still felt the aftershock of the conflict.

Byrth and Luckas could hardly run quickly enough to stay out of harm's way, as the battle grew stronger with each passing second. Madeline, who had been carried by Noah at the start, stared at them with grief. -" Noah, save them as well. We received their assistance; now it is our turn to repay them."

As Madeline spoke, Noah frowned. Her tone indicated that she was commanding him rather than asking him. Noah was already carrying Madeline and Elias, so he glared angrily at Lissandra and Elizabeth. The two girls reacted immediately and swept in, pulling Luckas and Byrth off the ground.
