Ancient Worm vs Maven, Magnus and Seth

As Seth took distance from the worm after the attack, Magnus already had completed another spell. -" Solaris Ignition." An enormous sun appeared on Magnus back.

As the sun started shining, solar flares brusted out of the sun aimed directly at the worm. As the solar flare hit the beast back, the worm's body instantly lightened up, completely immolating it.

Amidst howls of pain, the beast rolled its body through the forest. devasting, even more, the already ravaged forest. Seth and Magnus didn't waste any time as they already prepared more attacks.

They didn't want to give the beast any chance to fight back and kept their offensive in full force. The worms grunt only grew louder as it felt threatened until eventually, the beast let out a deep roar that shocked the surroundings.

As the beast roared purple lightning shot out of the worm's maw, as the lighting ray zipped through the area the Qi around it started to act frantically, even the space around the worm started to be torn apart.

Seth dashed away to distance as he was the closest one to the beast, the enraged worm attacks were too dangerous for him to hit by them. Magnus clenched his teeth as he started to conjure multiple spells at the same time, however, before he could complete even one of them the beast aimed its maw towards the sky. As the lighting ray coming out of the worm's mouth hit the sky, the space started to shake even more

-" Is the space around here going to collapse?" Magnus noticed how unstable the area where they were was and shuddered in fear as he looked at the end of the purple ray.

In the sky, a small tear in the space kept growing larger as the beast's attack continued. Purple light could be seen coming from the hole in space. Magnus and Seth watched as the hole expanded and the purple light formed a strange eye.

A standstill soon followed as the worm lighting ray ended, Magnus and Seth were tense as they didn't want to make a move without understanding what was the purple eye on the sky. On the other side, the worm began to bask in the purple light that the eye emanated.

The injuries on the worm's body began to heal at a visible rhythm, the beast's body trembled in joy as it received the light on its body, after most of the injuries in its body were healed the beast roared once again and opened another rift in the space.

-" What is this in the sky? The beast looks more powerful than ever after that thing appeared." Magnus felt anxious, they had just been able to inflict a little damage on the worm after attacking for so long, yet, the beast not only had recovered it even grew stronger;

Seth gritted his teeth as he searched around for Edward, in his previous conversation Edward had mentioned something called the Void Mother. Seth at first thought that this was the name of the worm, yet now, he began to understand.

-" Is that a manifestation of a deity? How is this possible?" Seth eyes were frozen in shock as he stared at the Purple Eye.

Magnus shuddered as he heard Seth suspicion, he was about to look towards the Eye when he felt ripples in the space next to him. -" Aegis Solaris!" Magnus quickly conjured another defensive spell, however this time the beast shattered his spell after some effort.

The worm approached Seth and Magnus with its foul maw completely open, Magnus still was able to evade the beast's bite, but, Seth looked like he was enchanted by the purple eye on the sky and didn't even notice the incoming attack.

Magnus closed his eyes as he saw the worm closing on Seth, if Seth died, Magnus only options would be running away or stalling until Maven reached the battlefield. Magnus took a deep breath and was about to throw a punch at the worm when a sudden spike made of earth impaled the beast's maw.

The beast roared in pain as the earth spike pierced its maw completely, Seth finally woke up from his trance-like state when he felt the beast roar in pain, Seth quickly dashed away from the beast who was trying to free itself from the spike.

Maven gave a quick look towards Seth and turned to the Eye in the sky. He was serious, the purple image on the sky gave him the same feeling as when he met some of the ancient beings still present in the world.

-" What is your purpose of descending to this realm, unholy being?" Maven inquired the Purple eye.

Magnus looked perplexed as Maven tried to communicate with the thing in the sky, he still remembered Seth calling the Eye on the sky a manifestation of a deity, yet, he didn't want to believe it.

Deities were things only talked about in myths in this era, and even in ages long past deities were still rare, the ancestor of his Sect, Aurelion the first Eternal Sun Man, was only a Demi-god and had such power that he was unrivaled in the entire continent. He couldn't imagine what powers the Purple being in the sky could wield. He gasped for air as he waited for an answer to Maven's question.

The purple eye soon started to look around, causing the purple Qi to spread around. The Eye gave a quick glance to something far away and finally returned its focus to Maven. -" Child of Ihphef, what gives you the confidence to speak directly at me?" A croaked voice thundered through the surroundings.

Magnus and Seth trembled as they heard the voice, they felt an immense power just from the strange voice. Maven looked unbothered as he perked up his eyebrows. -" As a follower of Ihphef, I can't let you roam around and taint this world" Maven paused for a moment and looked towards the struggling worm, " You and your cursed offsprings won't be allowed to corrupt this realm."

-" Courageous attitude, little Elemental, yet, do you really have the power to go against me?" The Purple eyes gazed at the injured worm again, however this time the amount of Purple Qi that was given to it was way higher. " I feel other child blessed by the dammed Ihphef close by, It was way more latent energy than you, Yet it looks this creature is running away? Did it just awaken?" As the Purple eyes spoke the worm started to struggle against the earth spike and finally freed itself. The hole in its maw began to close rapidly as the worm quickly wobbled towards a rift that just appeared.

-" Today shall a new Era shall begin. The rein of Ihphef to this realm shall be contested." Maven froze as the strange being in the sky finished its speech, he looked towards the worm entering the rift and dashed towards it.
