Principal Cane sat in his chair for a moment and thought about the last words Ashley had said before she left the office. He tried to ignore it. A part of him was divided to whether to believe Ashley or not. Minutes later, he decided to find out for himself. So he stood up from his chair, walked out of his room, and passed by Ms. Batiste, who just raised her eyebrows in confusion as she watched the principal strode quickly into the hallway.
Shaking her head, she felt relieved not to be part of the drama. She was happy to be behind the desk and answering phone calls instead. But she knew that whatever that girl, Ashley, had said was probably troublesome for Principal Cane to be dashing out of his office with a concerned look on his face.
Principal Cane proceeded immediately towards the room where Sasha was in. It was not even a minute when Ms. Everette noticed him standing outside the classroom door. So she walked toward it and opened it.
