Jin felt his lunch almost fly out from him as he stared at the sight that was in front of him. the face of the monster was disfigured and torn in many places, and wires and ropes were holding it together, but he knew for a fact that this was the face of a human.
"Father?"
The monster spoke up in a pained voice, but although it looked as though it recognized the man, there was no move to release Jin at all.
Rava, meanwhile, looked grief-stricken. He seemed to have lost all strength in his body and simply fell to his knees in shock.
"Well, Rava..."
The boy said as he placed his hand behind his back and looked on at the interaction between the two.
"I promised you that you would see your daughter again, didn't I? I guess you can't say I failed to keep my promise"
A strangled sob came from Rava and Jin could almost feel the shock going through the clearing.
"Ten years," Rava whispered, "You've been beside me for ten years?"
