Chapter 3

She looked at him.

"Yeah, but we were kids back then and now we're adults. So much has happened since then and we also changed a lot. I want to know who you are today and not the past you." She told him and then asked. "So, can we take this slow, please?"

"Okay." he told her and pretended to be disappointed at her as he retreated his hands.

'So, you're not going to give up your act so easily, huh? Let's see how you react to this.' he thought and toppled his sprite on her, making it look like an accident.

She gasped as the cold sprite drenched her clothes. She grabbed the napkins and tried to soak up the extra liquid.

"I'm so sorry. It was an accident." He lied to her with a straight face and pretended to be worried.

"It's fine." She told him, while giving him a reassuring smile. "I'm going to the bathroom."

She got up and left.

Levi frowned a little.

'I just ruined her expensive clothes and yet she reacted so calmly. I thought she would explode with anger. She's a talented actor, I'll give her that. She won't be easy to expose. I need to up my game.' he thought.

A few minutes later, she came back with her clothes wet with water and had an expression of discomfort on her face.

He thought that she would explode at him now when he saw her expression, but she surprised him once more.

"Levi, can we get a pair of clothes? Mine feel sticky." She told him.

'So, you want me to buy you clothes? I bet you want me to buy expensive ones.' he thought.

"My bad." he told her and got up. "Let me buy you new clothes."

"It's okay. It wasn't like you meant to do it. Just take me to a shop and I'll buy it myself." She told him with a gentle smile.

He frowned a little.

'What is she thinking? I can't predict her at all. I need to know what she is planning.' he thought.

"Levi?" she looked at him when he didn't answer. "If you don't want to go, then you can wait here."

He shook his head.

"I'll take you there." he told her.

"Thank you." She told him.

"It's the least I can do to make it up to you." He told her.

"No worries. Like I said, you didn't mean it." She told him.

They grabbed their sandwiches and followed him to the car. He drove while she ate her sandwich.

Instead of stopping at a clothing shop, he stopped in front of a hotel. She felt a bit scared looking at the hotel.

"This hotel is owned by us." he told her, turning off the engine.

"Why are we here?" she asked him while preparing to run away any second.

"You said that you were sticky so i thought that you could wash yourself here while I get you clothes." he lied.

He had something else in mind.

"Oh, you're so thoughtful." she told him, thinking that he said it with good intentions.

He faked a smile at her and got off. Plumeria also got out of the car and followed him into the lobby.

The receptionist gave him a respectful bow.

"Good evening, Mr. Adler. How may I help you?" he asked him.

"Give me a free room." Levi told him.

The receptionist looked at Plumeria standing behind him, who was looking around the hotel with interest and smiled knowingly. He took out a key and gave it to him.

"Would there be anything else?" he asked.

"Send some fresh towels." Levi told him.

"Yes, Mr. Adler."

Levi turned around and gave her the keys.

"Go to the second floor. You'll find the room there. Tell me your size." he told her.

"Medium size." She told him.

"I'll be back then." he told her and turned around to leave, but she stopped him.

"Wait. Take my card." she told him, taking out her wallet.

He grabbed her hand and stopped her.

"Don't. I ruined the dress. I'll pay for it." he told her.

"But-"

He cut her off by placing his finger on her lips. She blinked at him.

"No buts. I'm leaving and in the meantime, wash yourself." He told her and left.

She smiled at him.

'He's so nice.' She thought.

Levi went to a nearby mall and bought a cheap but pretty white dress with a blue rose pattern at the bottom of the dress. He really wasn't looking for a dress and had just grabbed the first thing he saw. Then he drove back to the hotel.

He remembered the room number, so he went straight to the room. When he entered the room, he saw it was empty, so he went to the bathroom and knocked on the door.

"Plum? Are you in there?" he asked.

"Yeah. Did you get the dress?" she asked him.

"Yeah. Here, take it." he told her.

She opened the door and took out her hand to take the dress, but to her horror, he grabbed her hand and pushed open the door.

"What are you doing?!" she asked him in shock as she was pushed to the wall.

She was glad that she had a towel wrapped around her body before she opened the door.

"What do you think?" He asked her, holding one of her hands above her head.

She clenched her jaws and looked at him, scared.

"Please, don't." She told him, looking away.

He placed his hand under her cheek and turned her face towards him. She looked at him with pleading eyes.

"Don't, what?" He asked.

"Don't… force me to sleep with you." She pleaded.

He chuckled in an evil tone. He slung her over his shoulder and took her to the bed while she kicked and hit him, trying to free herself. She screamed for help.

He threw her on the bed.

"There's no point in screaming. The walls are soundproof." He told her and got on top of her.

He looked at her and saw the tears leave her eyes.

"Why are you doing this to me?" she asked him with a tight throat.

He smirked and caressed her cheek.

"Don't you know?" he asked her.
