A Little Bit of Recollection to Tell

[Rebecca POV]

It's been a couple of minutes when I told onii-chan and the others about the events that happened when I was kidnapped. I told them from I woke up in the beginning to the reunion in the end, explaining every moment loud and clear.

Well, except for Kiana's existence, she insisted on keeping her presence hidden from onii-chan and the others while making excuses on covering up the actions she made. Honestly, it was annoying when she keeps ranting on how important it is to keep her identity a secret at all cost.

"So, let me get this straight, you woke up in a dark and dump room while being restrained on the wall with magic stone embedded cuffs, correct?" onii-chan then starts to recap the beginning of the recollection I told them, which I nodded in confirmation to his inquiry.

"Then you kept calling for us and make unnecessary noises to the point that you provoke a thug with anger issues into coming in the room and slapped you in the face"

"Yeah... it really hurts when he hits me that time"

"Hmph, that was quite weak of you"

"Don't say that, Eris. You were beaten up by a thug in our side"

"Hey Rudeus, don't tell her that!"

"Oho~ Looks like someone been turned into a punching bag~"

"Punching what?!"

""Calm down Ghislaine, it's just a joke!""

"What's going on, nya?!"

Onii-chan recapped the part of the blonde thug with anger issues who punched me in the face. Then Eris butts in and insulted me, saying that I am weak. Onii-chan rebuke her by saying that she got beaten by a thug, which I found interesting and decided to tease her a little bit. However, Ghislaine took it in the wrong way and got angry of the joke I made, so me and onii-chan tried to calm her down. While all of this were happening, Felis was just standing at the background being confused on what was happening.

"Anyway, after that, you encountered the same blonde noble that experimented on Felis, right?"

"Yes, I believe they're the same person"

"Then, can you tell us his name?"

"Well... I think his name is Otto A. Silva Ganius"

"Otto?!" Ghislaine exclaimed when she heard the name of the blonde noble as if she knew the person. We asked her for information about the person and she said that Otto visited the Great Forest long time ago.

'(That bastard doesn't know when to give up, huh)' Kiana mutters something in a frustrated tone, so I asked her what's she knew about it.

'What do you mean, Kiana? Do you know more about Otto'

'(It's nothing. That blonde human just had numerous atrocities in the past)'

'Atrocities like what?'

'(You don't want to know about his wicked actions, Rebecca. It is best not pry on that matter for your own good)'

'O-okay, but why didn't take his life when he caused a lot of troubles before?'

'(Killing that mortal isn't worth my time. Besides, I have other plans for him)'

'Oh, is that so? Okay then'

After hearing on Kiana's word, I snap back to the matter outside my head. When I did, onii-chan and others are staring at me.

"What? Why are you guys staring at me?" I asked them to know why and they look at each other before looking back at me.

"You have been in a daze for a while now. Was there something wrong, Rebecca?" seeing me staring aimlessly, onii-chan asked if there was a problem with me. I shook my head, saying that I am fine. However, onii-chan is still not convinced but he didn't voice out his complaints.

"Moving back to the topic, you said earlier that he talks about on making you his test subject and he put you to sleep, right?"

"Yes, that's right"

"But then, how the heck did you escape from the restraints and saw the noble knocked out?"

"Didn't I already tell you earlier?"

"I am not convinced at the part where you told us that you were saved by a hero passing by, which is sounds oddly cliché!"

Onii-chan asked me for the real reason why I broke out of my restraints because he was not convinced on the excuse which I made to cover up Kiana, who was the one that actually freed me.

'Kiana, he is not buying it! What should I do?'

'(Your excuses sucks, just tell him nothing)'

'Nothing? Like I will not say anything at all?'

'(No, you dumbass! Just say you know nothing about it)'

'Oh, okay'

"There she goes again! Just staring blankly into nothingness!" Eris then yells at me, snapping me out of my conversation with Kiana. Looking at them, onii-chan and Felis was worried about me while Eris is annoyed and impatient. Ghislaine on the other hand, was just chilling on the background, listening to our conversation.

"Ah, sorry. I'm just trying my hardest to recall the memory on how I break out, but I couldn't remember anything about it"

"It's okay, Rebecca. If it's really that hard to remember, then let not press on that matter and move on" onii-chan reassures me to not worry about answering that question anymore.

'Phew~ That was close'

'(Rebecca, try not to open your eyes while speaking to me next time. They will think you that you're ill or something)'

'Ah, right'

Following Kiana's advice, I will close my eyes next time I talk to her.

"Next one was the time you fought the blonde thug, right?" I nodded at onii-chan's question and asked me if the fight with the thug made a bit of difference after I woke up from breaking out from the restraints.

"Well, nothing much has changed in me that time, except..."

""Except?""

I said my answer with a little bit of suspense to make it more convincing to them. They are waiting for my answer, anticipating on what I will say to them.

Great, now for the grand reveal.

"Fufufu, I defeated the blonde thug with, drum roll please, *drum roll noises*"

"Enough with the suspense and tell us already!!" Eris impatiently demands me to spill the beans, which was ruining my moment.

"Urgh, fine! I killed the thug with the Longsword of Light. There, happy now!" I annoyingly told them the truth about the aftermath of the fight between me and the blonde thug. Everyone widens their eyes in astonishment when they heard that I successfully execute the Longsword of Light. Even Ghislaine was impressed at the feat I did.

"Wait! So, that means..."

"Fufufu, that's right! I am a [Sword Saint], baby!! Mwahahahaha!" I boisterously announced while standing on the bed with my arms at the air as I laugh victoriously.

"Woah really? that's great, Rebecca. Congratulation"

"Hmph, that's quite impressive achievement you have. I guess I'll give you praise on that"

"Well done, Rebecca. Allow me to see your skill at the courtyard later on"

"Wow, that's really cool, nya"

Everyone claps their hands and gave me praises for doing a good job in ranking up.

'Yes! That's it! Praise me more! I love all of your kind compliments, everyone!'

'(You do know that you still have a long way to go, right?)'

'What's that? Can't hear over the sound of absolute victory I am having~ Mwahahaha!'

'(Urgh...)'

After the praising session, onii-chan inquires on the time that the blonde noble disappeared after the fight.

"Did you saw the noble leaving while you were fighting the thug, Rebecca?"

"No, onii-chan. I haven't noticed him moving from his spot that time"

"From what I can understand from this, he either used another of his inventions or someone else saved him while being unnoticed" onii-chan speculates at the possibility on how the noble escaped from the room.

'(I see.... Your brother seems to have a valid point. I never knew that my [Spatial Detection] failed to detect someone before)' I heard that Kiana is talking to me, so I close my eyes to converse with her.

'Really? How does your Spatial Detection work anyway?'

'(The magic detects motion within a certain radius of space. Anything that moves within the magic's range will be detected. However, I didn't detect anyone moving towards the blonde human or seeing move from his position.)'

'Is that so... Hey, can I learn that magic? I'd like to add that to my arsenals'

'(No)'

'Aww... Come on. Pretty please'

'(I said no. Also, your brother is calling for you)'

'Huh' I snapped out of my conversation with Kiana and I feel someone shaking me.

"Hey, Rebecca! Hey! Are you with us?" I opened my eyes after talking to Kiana, seeing that onii-chan is holding my shoulders with both hands and his face is very close to mine's. I blushed at the sight of my brother's face up close and personal to me.

We stayed at this position for a short while before Eris separate us out of annoyance and impatience.

"Honestly, you two are always too close to each other. It is getting on my nerves" Eris irritatingly reprimands us for being too close. I smirked at the opportunity presented to me and hugged onii-chan while smugly smiled at Eris.

"Ohohoho~ What's this? Is someone jealous of our intimate and affectionate siblinghood? I'm sorry, but onii-chan is mine and mine alone" I teased Eris while still hugging onii-chan, firmly sticking his head close to my chest. Onii-chan is struggling to break free, but with my strength and battle aura, I didn't let him go.

When Eris saw this, oh boy, she was mad at me while blushing heavily. She clenched her fists and her whole body is shaking like crazy.

'Go on, bitch. Try hitting me and onii-chan, and you will be tasting your own medicine'

'(You know, provoking the lady is not the best choice, Rebecca)'

'What's that? I can't hear you over the sweet sound of frustration Eris is feeling right now'

'(*sigh*)'

Eris haven't throwed her first punch yet and I'm still readying myself to protect onii-chan from her at all cost.

"...."

"....."

"Tch, whatever. Ghislaine, Felis, we're leaving"

"Understood"

"U-understood, nya"

Eris turns around and angrily walks to the door of my room. She frustratedly opens it and exits the room along with Ghislaine and Felis, finally leaving me and onii-chan alone.

"Oh my, happened over here? I just saw Eris walks out from the room quite indignantly" Philip then appeared from the widely opened door along with another person. I nonchalantly asked for the person's name, not minding Philip's question about Eris.

The person introduces himself as Alfonso and he will be the new butler of the mansion. I then realized something and asked where was the previous butler, Thomas. Onii-chan said that he betrayed the Boreas and he planned to seal Eris and Felis to the blonde noble, which freaking I called it.

"Speaking of blonde noble, I know the identity of the one responsible for the kidnapping, Philip-sama" I told Philip about the information I have about the blonde noble, making Philip eyebrow raise and asked us question. "Oh, really? Who is this blonde noble you two are talking about?"

""His name is Otto A. Silva Ganius"" Me and onii-chan announced to Philip, making his eyes widen in shock. He stayed like that for a few seconds before turning around to Alfonso.

"Alfonso, please call father immediately and bring him to the guest room!" Philip promptly ordered the butler and he complied to the instruction, exiting the room swiftly.

Then he returns his sight to us and walk towards the bed.

"Rudeus, Rebecca, I need you two to follow me to the guess room right now" Philip promptly instruct us to come with him, so I get of the bed, tidying it a little bit, and then follow Philip outside of the room along with onii-chan.
