I want to get you for my mummy.

As they pulled up to Mia's simple duplex, Rihanna exclaimed,

"Auntie Mia, you have a beautiful house!"

Ryan rolled his eyes, but followed his sister and mother inside.

"Ryan's only four, but he acts like an old man!" Rihanna said in her baby voice, making Mia laugh again.

"Your kids are such a delight. They always amaze me with their antics." Mia said, still chuckling.

The three of them stepped into the cozy home, and Lia couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. It was nice to be around someone who knew and understood her, someone who wasn't constantly judging or questioning her choices.

Mia took their coats and hung them on the coat rack by the door. "Can I get you anything to drink?" she asked.

"A cup of coffee would be great," Lia replied, looking around the small but well-kept home. "It's been a long day."

"I'll put on a pot right away," Mia said, heading into the kitchen. "Rihanna, Ryan, why don't you two play in the living room while I get things ready?"

The following week, a man walked into his office, his assistant at his side.

He was dressed impeccably in a tuxedo shirt and fitted trousers. His blonde hair was perfectly coiffed, and his chiseled features were set in a cold expression. He dropped his bag on a chair and his assistant spoke up.

"I heard the other staff saying someone looked like you."

"Like me? I don't have a twin." He responded curtly, settling into his chair.

"They said it was a kid."

"A kid?"

The man sat back in his chair, processing this information. "I don't have a wife, let alone a kid. This must be some kind of misunderstanding."

The assistant shifted uncomfortably, not knowing what to say. "Maybe it's just a coincidence, sir."

The man dismissed the matter with a wave of his hand and turned back to his computer. "I have work to do, so let's not waste any more time on this nonsense."

The assistant nodded and went back to his desk, but he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the story than met the eye.

It was lunch.

The other workers has gone to eat since.

As he headed to the restaurant after he was done with his works, his phone pressed to his ear, he nearly collided with a small child who stumbled and began to cry.

"Watch where you're going, mister!" the child wailed.

The man looked down and saw a small, blonde-haired boy looking up at him with big, tear-filled eyes.

He bent down and spoke gently.

"I'm so sorry I made you fall. Are you okay?" he asked, offering the child a hand to help him up.

The boy took his hand and pulled himself to his feet, his lip quivering.

"What is your name? Where are your parent?" He asked looking around.

The boy stood up, brushed himself off, and looked the man squarely in the eyes. "My name is Ryan, and I'm not supposed to tell strangers my name, but I want to tell you." He said with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.

"Do you think I'm too little to be here, is that why you made me fall?" he asked, a hint of defiance in his voice.

"No, of course not," the man said. "To make it up to you, I'll buy you an ice cream."

"I don't want a bribe," Ryan said, crossing his arms. "If you're going to bribe me, do it properly."

The man was taken aback by the boy's boldness. "Alright then, how about we make a deal?" he offered. "I'll answer any three questions you have for me, and then I'll buy you that ice cream."

Ryan's eyes lit up. "Deal!" he said with a grin. "First question - how old are you?"

"I'm twenty-eight," the man replied, raising an eyebrow at the child's question.

"You are old. What is your name?" Ryan asked. The man smiled and said.

"Xavier."

Cool name, Ryan thought.

"Third question, are you married?" Ryan asked and the man laughed. "It's not funny Mister."

"Because I am not married. The question is funny. Why are you asking though?"

"You are very handsome, and I want to get you for my Mummy." Ryan said with a cute smile.
