Xiao li wrapped her arms around his waist as if she would disappear if she let go.

Jingyi Wang recovered from his shock when he felt a tear drop touch his skin.

His heart ached as if it had just been pierced with a knife when he heard her sobbing.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her into his embrace. He then stroke her hair affectionately as he spoke, "Everything is fine, okay?"

After a while, he looked down at the woman in his embrace and saw that she was already asleep.

Next morning, when Xiao li woke up, she found that she was in the master bedroom.

Blinking her eyes, Xiao li immediately remembered that she was playing the piano yesterday, and then she had a nightmare.

She froze in a daze and suddenly turned her head only to find an empty space beside her.

She jumped out of the bed and ran to the dining area. "Where is Jingyi Wang?" She grabbed a maid's hand and asked anxiously.

At that moment, a low and hoarse voice resounded, "I'm here"

Xiao li turned her head to where the voice came from. At that moment when she saw Jingyi Wang, she heaved a sigh of relief.

Just as she was in a daze, she heard him say, "Come and eat breakfast. I told the chefs to cook-"

However, before he could complete his statement, Xiao li had said, "Are you okay?" she walked to his side and asked again. "Tell me, did you get hurt?"

As she spoke, her eyes gazed at his face intently.

Upon hearing her words, Jingyi Wang raised his head in surprise and gazed into her eyes for a long time. Then, he reached out his arms and pulled her into his embrace.

He then lowered his voice and whispered into her ears, "Why? Do you care about me?"

Xiao li raised her teary eyes when she heard his questions. She pursed her lips into a thin line and turned her face refusing to look into his eyes.

Seeing this, Jingyi Wang could not help, but laugh lightly which made Xiao li frowned. However, he stopped laughing when he saw her gloomy expression and pouts.

He said with a doting voice, "Go and brush your teeth, then come down to eat breakfast"

Xiao li heard this and nodded her head obediently before going back to the master bedroom.

When she came down, she was already dressed up. She walked to the dining area and sat down beside Jingyi Wang.

Just like before, Jingyi Wang served her breakfast and gestured her to eat, but Xiao li refused to eat. Her big, round beautiful eyes were fixed on Jingyi Wang for a very long time.

She suddenly remembered her dream and how Jingyi Wang died. She could not stop her heart from beating uncontrollably. Her eyes were filled with tears.

She could not control her feelings anymore.

She thought to herself, 'Am I falling in love with this man?'

Just as she was thinking, she felt a warm, big hand covered hers.

Xiao li was stunned.

She lowered her head and saw his hand atop hers. At that moment, she felt a warm current starting to spread across her heart.

"Why are you not eating?" Jingyi Wang asked with a frown.

"I'm not hungry"

Xiao li's simple reply made Jingyi Wang's eyebrows furrowed.

"Why are you not hungry? Don't you like the food? Should I tell the chef to cook another food for you?

As he spoke, he was about to call the chef when he felt a cold finger on his lips.

He stiffened almost immediately.

He looked at Xiao li, surprised.

Seeing Jingyi Wang's puzzled expression, Xiao li hurriedly pulled her finger away from his lips. She said, "I'm not hungry"

Jingyi Wang dropped his chopstick and turned to face her. "If you don't eat, I won't tell you what I want to say"

He knew she was hungry, but pretending not to be and he was worried about her.

After forcing her to eat her food, he then said, "Xiao li, you parents are coming tomorrow..."

Xiao li heard this and froze.

Her parents are coming tomorrow, are they coming to take her away? Will she leave Jingyi Wang's place forever and go back to her normal life?

Xiao li was in a state of shock and could not come back for a very long time.

Jingyi Wang on the other hand watched her reaction. After being shocked for a while, Xiao li finally spoke up, "My parents are coming tomorrow?"

Jingyi Wang nodded his head.

A smile flashed across Xiao li's lips and her eyes glistening with tears.

However, something unexpected happened.

Jingyi Wang reached out his hand and placed it atop Xiao li's head. He gazed into her eyes, doting, "Xiao li, I know that you are very happy to see your parents and if you don't want to stay with me anymore, you can leave. I won't force you anymore"

His words shocked Xiao li.

The smile on her face stiffened.

Her pupils shrank.

Was he letting her go now?

She heard Jingyi Wang say again as he ruffled her hair, "I'm going go work. Get ready for tomorrow" He smiled sweetly at her and stood up.

Just as he took a step forward, a small hand reached out and grabbed his arm.

"Can I come with you? I don't want to stay at home"

Xiao li blinked his eyes and asked again anxiously, "Can I come with you?"
