"Where the bloody hell are they!" I coldly uttered, sitting at the dinner table within Masters estate. Simply listening to the flow of water was driving me crazy! How does Master live like this!
Enjoying the endless flow of water that seemed to fall from the various walls around us, Master Aiza turned to me with a disheartened expression, "Be attention, I have been teaching you that for over five hundred years.
"You are one of the founders of Nox, Master. They simply cannot be late! It matters not who they are!" I fiendishly uttered, crossing my arms against my chest just above the oak table.
Listlessly smiling, Master waved her hand, summoning a warm brew of tea for me, "Drink," She uttered sharply," Dring and relax."
Gritting my tea, I lifted the emerald tea to my lips within a traditional clay cup. Steeming with misty heat, I took a small sniff that sent my mind into a state of euphoria.
"What is this?" I softly asked, my very soul warm at the very essence overflowing within me.
"Lover's Kiss, " Answered Aiza swiftly, "Strange what mortals tea will do. Even after I made it fit for gods to drink, I could not change the name that was so fitting."
Taking a sip, I felt my heart flutter, and my cheeks flush at the warm love within my heart. Brewing my very soul, I melted within the chair, watching master laugh.
"Seven hundred years, and you still behave like this. It seems one can never rid themselves of genetics." Said Master with a warm smile I had only seen a few times. " You know, Little Jing, everything I do is for you, right? Even if I struggle to find the emotion to portray, I truly do care for you."
"Master?" I warmly muttered, finding a smile I had once thought I had lost.
Master Aiza was one thing, and that was cold. The first lesson I could remember was of her forcing two large ogres to force themselves on a flower girl. The Flower Girl had done nothing wrong, but Master had her raped and hung within her family's house till her corpse began to rot before her parent's eyes.
"Life is not fair" were my Master's only words all those years ago, and It was a lesson I would never forget.
Seeing Master so warm, as somewhat off, for it was rare to see her like this.
"I know, master," I replied to her loving words.
Lightly smiling, she suddenly sighed, "When Arsene arrives, I wish you to follow him, but when you do, I need you to do one thing."
Widening my eyes, at the odd turn, for Master hated the idea of me traveling with others, I listened patiently, "I want you, my loving disciple, to not fall into his schemes."
"Eh?"
Lifting her lips, Master shook her head, "Arsene Snow is, without doubt, one of the most dangerous men I have ever seen. Under his schemes, an Arch-Angel from the Seven Heavens, and A prince of Hell from the Nines, have already perished."
Shuttering within the depths of my soul, the cup within my hands seemed to contain the weight of an entire world as I struggled to find the words, "M-M-Master, h-h-he was the one! He is that Arsene!"
"The one and only and the source of that ephemeral darkness that appeared a few days ago, don't tell me you didn't feel it? Noctem calls for him." Uttered Master with a longing smile.
"What is my mission?" I sharply inquired, smiting the warm feeling within my heart.
"Drink, darling, relax." Said my Master resting her palms upon her soft cheeks. "Finish your cup, and relax. There are a few things I need to say before they appear.
Gulping the entirety of my cup down, a cold chill swirled within my heart, "My Mission?"
Losing her smile, the Master I knew and loved rose like a phoenix, "You are to travel and study Arsene and his Wife, Princess Yura, from the Celestial Palace. I need to know their weakness, their likes, and dislikes. For all intended purposes, you are a spy. The others will soon arrive, and once they start, Arsene will be your savior and doom. "
"Should I simply not kill him now?" I sharply said, not understanding the purpose of Master's intent.
"Kill that Devil? He is a soul bender and has enough power to battle a Wraith straight from the Etherial Realm. You may not have seen it, but have you not wondered how he lived from a point-blank bast form that Wraith?"
"I thought it was simply by luck; after all, it would not be unusual if the heavens help a chosen like him out," I said, receiving a scold from Master.
"The Ruler of Heavens, Aldrich, wish him dead. He will never help him. From what I saw, the moment the bullet touched him, darkness from the depths of Tenebrae sprung from his blood. His eyes had turned to that of twilight, sending a chill down my spine. For one single moment, Arsene had changed into something." Muttered Master, with lustful eyes.
Sensing the profound desire for power within Master, I licked my lips at the scheme I knew would follow within masters intent.
"Killing Arsene is not our goal; I will make myself clear on that part. Aeron has made it clear he is to be a Chosen, if only a backup one. I simply wish you to follow him, and that will be enough." Master mysteriously declared, smiling in my direction.
"As you wish, Master."
"Oh no, my dear disciple, it's what you wish. Learn from that Yura, from what I hear. She was decided to be the strongest Soulbender to exist. It seems she is able to use a Circle called Genesis. That Circle could decimate any type of God or demon with a single touch. It's a ruthless circle, do not cross her. "
"I am not afraid of her Master. I, too, am a soul bender. It matters not her level of Circles. I am sure I can defeat her, now."
Narrowing her soul-capturing eyes, Master held me in her sights with a smile, "Confidence will you nothing against these monsters. Watch and Learn, Yura is—"
"The hell is up your ass!" Shouted the voice of Arsene.
"Apparently not you!" Answered Lilith scornfully, "Why the hell did you want to lead! This is what happens! We are three hours late!"
Furiously pushing through the doors, Arsene snorted, "First off, I think my sense of direction is getting better! I got us here, didn't you?"
"That ninja that delivered the message did! You just complained!" Cried Lilith in an expression that expressed disbelief. "Answer me this Snow, can you seriously say you can make it back to our hotel."
"Of course!" Yelled Arsene with a cheeky smile. "Have faith, my dear queen. Believe in your man!"
