Mysterious object under the sea

Drayan frowned as he saw that the hooded man was actually going to shoot.

Drayan had used 11% of Smiling Fang's modified nutrients to feed his cells, and now he had 21% of nutrients stored for himself.

He took 3% of the 21% he had and split the nutrients throughout his body, increasing all of his physical capabilities along with his brain's thinking speed.

The hooded man, drew his bow, and fired the arrow that cut the air, and flew towards Drayan like lightning.

Drayan leapt from the mutated wolf, and caught the arrow in both hands just as it was about to strike his forehead.

The force of the arrow was strong enough to push Drayan back a few meters, but he quickly stopped the arrow, spun his body in the air, and sent the arrow back towards the sky.

The hooded man who was 100 meters away, saw a black dot, coming towards him, and having a surprising reaction time, he threw his body to the side, but he wasn't fast enough, and the arrow thrown by Drayan pierced his left shoulder.

That was enough for the person in the hood to back away with an injured shoulder.

Drayan wanted to hunt the man down, but he's likely to get a surprise attack if he follows the hooded man. Wanting to ensure his safety, Drayan decided to just stay away from the hooded man. He mounted the wolf again, and rode off, heading towards the city.

Anyway, Drayan had no plans to kill this hooded man right off the bat. Otherwise, he could have used a larger amount of modified nutrients and returned the arrow with more force so the man couldn't dodge it.

Drayan didn't want to waste his precious modified nutrient on someone Drayan didn't consider a real threat.

Drayan just wanted to give the man a warning to stay away. Like it or not, the hooded man had the upper hand.

It would be very bad for Drayan to dodge a rain of arrows. Drayan would probably have to go back to the city of Becke to dodge the arrows. Drayan wasn't about to run in fear of the man's arrows.

The hooded man underestimated Drayan's strength and thought that a bow shot would be enough to kill Drayan, and that was a mistake.

Riding on Darkening's back, Drayan entered the city and found some black rhinoceros beetles advancing on him.

Darkening ran past the beetles, while Drayan cut the insects in half using his dagger.

The beetles that Drayan encountered along the way were only 4 to 6 centimeters long. But they were still dangerous, especially if Drayan encountered a large group of them. Lucky for Drayan, only 10 small beetles appeared.

Drayan ate the beetles along with Darkening, and Canine. The Canine was small, but it was hungry, it was pulling the black beetle's horn from the Darkening's mouth. Darkening wasn't that hungry, so he let Canine win this contest and let go of the insect.

It was normal for Canine to be so hungry. Fang returned to his puppy form, and as an adult, he used to eat a lot of food. Canine was desperate to grow up.

Canine's face was covered in greenish blood from the beetles.

"You smell really bad. It deserves a bath."

Drayan held his nose, smelling the horrible smell coming from Fang. Drayan noticed that he too was smelling bad. Darkening didn't smell good either.

The only place they could all bathe was in the sea, which was in the west of the city.

Darkening knew where the place was. When Darkening fled across the sea to the town of 'Becke', he discovered the location of the sea. Darkening could smell the salt water too.

Drayan knew there were killer fishes in the sea, so it might not be safe.

But if it's just a few fish, it won't be a problem. Drayan mounted the wolf's back, holding Canine in his lap, and they headed out to sea, skirting the edge of the city.

When he reached the place, Drayan got off the wolf, carrying the Canine puppy in his arms.

Drayan placed the Canine on the ground, and set his backpack on the sand.

Drayan began to bathe the animal, which wet its fur. Canine shook his body, flushing the water from his body, and his fur stood on end. Canine turned into a fur ball.

Using his instincts, Drayan was able to see that there was no killing intent coming from the water. There was no danger for now.

They were bathing in the shallow end, just in case. Darkening had already taken a quick shower, and was now the security guard, taking in the surroundings. If Darkening found the man in the hooded, he would find a way to warn Drayan.

Killer fishes usually stay in a more submerged part of the sea, however, it still wasn't good to stay too far from the edge of the sea.

So, a few minutes passed, and they finished the bath, without being in any danger.

When Drayan was carrying Canine in his arms out of the sea, he saw a beam of white light, like a lighthouse turned on, at the bottom of the ocean.

He had never seen anything like this before. Drayan wanted to take a closer look, however, the killer fishes could be waiting for him down there.

But even though he saw that it was a bad idea, his curiosity got the better of him. He brought the wolf and the Canine back to his body and jumped into the sea.

Drayan swam to the bottom, towards the object, which looked like a shining treasure. Due to the intensity of the light, Drayan was able to clearly see the bottom of the sea that should have been dark.

There were many common-class fish swimming around, which did not pose any danger. These fishes failed to evolve.

Drayan could kill some fishes, and get their meat, but Drayan didn't have time for that right now. He just wanted to keep going towards the white glow, which looked like a shining jewel.

He got close enough to understand what it was. It was a type of crystal that emitted light. Drayan swam faster to reach the crystal.

In a world on the verge of destruction, a treasure has no use anymore, nobody is interested in buying something like that, in fact, money has no value here anymore. But if it's anything better than treasure, It could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Drayan.

With that thought, Drayan approached the Crystal, staying only two meters away to reach the luminous object.

But suddenly, the sea began to stir, and Drayan was pushed by an unknown force, away from the Crystal, at the same time that a long fish passed by him, swallowing the shining Crystal.

The creature swept past him quickly, so all Drayan saw of the creature was that it had an elongated upper jaw like a blade. It was like a sharp, serrated nose.

*Accursed creature!*

Drayan was willing to go after the creature, but he couldn't compete with the creature's speed in the sea.

But Drayan wasn't about to give up the mysterious crystal so easily.

*If I had the Grassh now, I could summon it, and search the sky for the creature.*

But he no longer had the Grassh, Drayan could only mourn the loss of the Grassh.

His best option now was to summon the killer fishes, and send them after the long fishes. The eleven fish that came out of Drayan's body had the mission to track down the sea creature. Drayan could do nothing but hope that the killer fishes would somehow manage to find or kill this sea creature for him.

Drayan was already at sea, so he went looking for an evolved sea creature to kill.

His lung was strong enough to go a few minutes without breathing, so he wasn't afraid of drowning. The problem was the darkness. Without the crystal illuminating the place, everything became an eternal and endless darkness.

In the end, Drayan was only able to hunt two common-class fishes, then he returned to the surface. Drayan left the sea, picked up his backpack on the sand, and returned to the city of 'Dallen'.
