Preparations

Glitch stared at the iron-grade swords in front of him while frowning.

After hearing the price of the copper-grade magic sword, he did not want to even look at it.

'Fck, I knew it would be expensive but 1 silver coin! That robbery.' He clicked his tongue and focused on the different iron swords.

The most expensive iron-grade sword was for 10 bronze coins, while the lower quality one was for 1 bronze coin.

Logically, the best option was to go for a single higher-quality sword, but the problem was he was not sure if a top iron sword could handle the young king's attack.

In his last life, many agreed that getting a copper sword was the safe option, but even if he sold himself, he would not get the remaining 75 bronze coins any time soon.

After some thought, he pointed to a sword with 2 bronze coins price, "Give me 5 of those."

At his choice, the NPC behind the counter frowned. That guy stared at him with wide eyes and then pointed to other swords.

Like a veteran salesperson, he picked up the best iron sword and said to him, "Sir, are you sure? Weapons are most important for a warrior. I say you should invest a little more in a better weapon that stays with you for a longer time. Sir, I don't think a cheap sword will be able to handle your great power for long. What about this 10-coin sword…"

Glitch moved his hand up, stopping the NPC speech. "I still want 2 coin swords."

NPC faced change and a fake concern appeared in his eyes. "Sir, as you are the old customer of this shop, let me inform you that these 2 coin swords are worth your money, but they were not intended to fight multiple creatures one after another. They carry a risk of breaking."

Glitch smiled at the NPC. "I know that, but I think those are best for him."

The NPCs stopped smiling and clicked his tongue, "Don't blame our shop later on."

At this, Glitch tapped on the counter. "Swords are not the only thing I am looking for."

NPC looked up at him and asked back with the same smile, "You want another weapon deer customer?"

Glitch clicked his tongue at the guy acting. He shook his head. "No, not a weapon, but onetime use magic weapons."

At this NPC asked him, "Are you talking about magic bombs?"

Glitch smiled, "Yup."

NPC nodded in understanding. "You have great insight, dear customer, but those things are expensive."

At this, he pulled a handful of bronze coins and slammed it on the counters. He did not stop there, did it 2 more times.

As he was about to slam 4th time, NPC shouted with a bright smile, "I understand dear customer, you have the means to buy them."

Before he could react, NPC swiped all the coins on the counter into his pockets and asked him, "What kind of magic bomb do you want, dear customer?"

He said, "I want something with low range but lethal power. By the way, do you have different grades to choose from?"

"Sir, I think a compressed bomb will suit you best. As for the grade, right now we have the lowest and the low-grade compress bombs in the stocks."

Glitch frowned in confusion. Unlike the fixed universal ranking of weapons, consumable item ranking differs from planet to planet based on power. Each planet in the game had one dominant power.

There were multiple kinds of power available in the game, from fantasy powers like superpowers, and blood power to advanced science and more.

All of it led to having different consumables that were harder to compare to one another.

This was the reason, on a higher scale, all the consumables ranked based on their effect, but most of the initial planet did not follow that.

Especially beginner planets had different grading systems depending on how advanced the planet was.

The moment he heard the lowest and the low grade, he understood that planet Nex also had a unique grading system.

It was troublesome, so he asked, "What's the price for both grade compressed bombs?"

NPC rubbed his hand. "Sir, the compressed bomb is a little more expensive than your usual magic bombs. Each lowest-grade bomb will be for 20 copper coins, while the low-grade bomb will cost you 3 bronze coins."

The price was a little too high for a single-use item. Still, he said, "Give me 3 low-grade compressed bombs."

NPC nodded, "Give me a few seconds sir," saying walked to the back of the shop.

Usually, in the trial, buying things like a magic bomb was a waste of money. The only reason he invested in these bombs was to use them as a last resort.

The one bad thing about the trial was that at this stage, all the players had the same kind of stats.

So there was a high chance of his plans failing and others killing the young king before him. If that were to happen, then these bombs could come in clutch.

After spending 19 bronze coins, Glitch walked out of the blacksmith shop and moved to his next destination magic potion shop.

So far, he did not need to use any kind of potion to recover because of passive self-recovery.

In Universal Online, once a player stopped fighting for 2 minutes, his health would start recovering based on a few hidden stats.

That same for his stamina. If he stopped moving for two minutes, his stamina would also start recovering.

On his first day, he calculated that he needed 10 seconds to recover one point of health back.

As for stamina, he needed approximately 15 minutes to get almost full stamina back.

Earlier, he saw 1000+ canines, and those were just a few that rushed out of the forest.

If he was not wrong, an enormous pack did not even move out of the forest. There was no way he could trigger health recovery in that kind of war.

With that in mind, he spent the last 6 bronze coins on the 20 lowest healing portions, 10 lowest stamina recovery potions, and 10 on the lowest strength boost portions.

He was not sure about their effectiveness, still was better than nothing.

Done with shopping, he finally moved toward the meeting point to join his group.
