A one-of-a-kind advanced game? Universal Online where every player had the same class of rulers. Being rulers players got to lead and transform a single species beyond anything. Unfortunately, this was not the game where every species could survive. The whole population of rulers jumped from planet to planet fighting to gain more resources for their survival. The winner got to advance and the loser lost everything. He was one of those who strived hard to survive but in the end, failed. At the end of everything miracle happened. He got reincarnated back in time - 4 years after the game’s release! Armed with a few years of advanced knowledge from his previous life, he decided to once again take the gamble. Forced by his gang to play the game he decided to reach the top. This is the story of Jules - a man who threw himself back intending to rule above everyone but with many being already 4 years ahead of him, will he succeed?
He stopped thinking about other paths and thought of moving out of the space village.
There wasn't much he could do as of now in the space village.
He turned to Lark, "Lark, I want to go out."
Lark nodded his head and asked, "Is there any work for me, boss?"
Glitch clicked his tongue, "Nah, just keep an eye on the forest. Especially on the boars. I don't want any of them to die doing something stupid. If there's any emergency, just focus on protecting the boars. You can leave the others."
Lark nodded his head.
Glitch took out all the stuff from his inventory and placed them in the space village. He did not want to risk losing important stuff in the game world.
He threw the space village grey marble to Lark. This marble was the key for him to enter and exit the space village.
Glitch said, "I will tell you through telepathy when I want to enter."
Lark carefully held the marble in his hand, "But boss, this marble is bound to you. You cannot misplace it, so why are you giving this important stuff to me?" Lark knew that this marble symbolized the space village authority.
With this in hand, Lark could also manipulate stuff in the space village on the same level as Glitch.
Glitch had a smile on his face as he said, "Well, I believe in your capabilities." Though he acted like he was a marvelous ruler, in reality, it was basic to give some control to the assistant rulers from the start.
It was a matter of time when all the rulers would need their assistant's help. So it was better to give them responsibility from the start, so even if they messed something up, the loss would be minimal.
In his last life, in the first 3 attempts, he made the mistake of not teaching anything or giving any responsibility to his assistant ruler from the beginning.
That led to distrust between him and his assistant. With time, assistants stopped doing anything and became free-loaders.
His mistake came to bite him in his third round, as in the first 2 rounds he did not even reach the point where he required assistant help.
Sure enough, as he said that, Lark looked at him with bright burning eyes.
He hid his smile and turned around. "Okay Lark, teleport me."
"Yes, boss." Lark fumbled a little and then tapped on the marble in a certain way.
A notification popped up in front of Glitch.
[Teleportation in process.
Timer: (30 sec)
(Note: Any movement of position would cancel the teleport)
]
Soon the timer hit 0 and a bright light engulfed him.
Zap!
...
An icy breeze hit on his face, making him shiver a little. He opened his eyes and saw land around him, covered in a light layer of snow.
He looked around and found himself standing beside an enormous stone wall next to a giant gate leading into the village.
He heard multiple footsteps, along with the noise of people talking. He looked toward the big gate and saw multiple humans walking in and out of the defenseless village gate.
'This must be the northern region.' The information about the northern region flooded his mind.
If he was not wrong, then humans, beastman, and then a few sensible monster species dominate in this region.
He accidentally took a deep breath, the cold air jolted his brain.
He coughed a little. The foggy breath coming out of his mouth reminded him of the surrounding cold, and he again started shivering.
'Thank god it was not winter time.' It was clear from the thin layer of snow around him that for the northern region, it must be summer.
He stopped thinking and focused on the people coming in and out of the village.
All of them were in a thin layer of clothes made of beast hides. Those clothes did not look like those of nomadic tribal clothes but looked more processed and modernized.
He noticed that the number of people going out of the village was far more than those coming in. He looked at the sky full of white clouds. It was difficult to know the exact time, but from the sun's position, he estimated it was still early in the day.
Most of these people who were going out must be those responsible for hunting or doing some other chores.
He did not rush toward the village and stood there for minutes, making sure that no one was there to inspect those who were entering the village.
Universal Online was full of unexpected things, just like real life.
He did not want to die or worse, get trapped in prison by these villagers. From the massive size of the wall, it looked like a big village.
Even though the first village was full of dangerous quests, he still wanted to enter there to get information about the nearby village. He also needed to earn some bucks for food and clothes.
After making sure of everything, he was about to walk to the village when he felt a sudden surge of furious energy spreading throughout his body.
A notification popped in front of him.
Ding!
[Re arrangement of Ruler hidden stats.]
'How could this slip out of my mind?' He slapped his forehead, but then a smile formed on his face as he saw the lean muscle developing on his skinny body.
From this point on, his hidden stats would differ from other rulers.
In Universal Online, even though all the rulers start with equal total stats, the distribution of these hidden stats changes based on the species the ruler chose.
Rulers who chose humans start with all equal stats. Those who chose beast creatures start with more physical stats, but their intelligence and other skill-related stats go down.
Then there were creatures like elves, spirits, and more that gained more skill-related stats.
It was the same for him. He could feel a massive boost in his physical body, especially in his strength and from how lean his muscles also his agility.
