Hatsume sat in a chair chained and unable to move, she squirmed around trying to break free but it was no use. "Well this is a fine mess." That's when a beeping sound was heard coming from her wrist.
She found what appeared to be a large watch with a timer counting down, "And that makes it worse." Hatsume was starting to freak out. "Alright things are not looking so good but Midoriya will save me. I know he will."
But as she waited for him the counter went down to 25 seconds, that's when Hatsume began to think of the worst case scenarios. She let out a nervous chuckle, "Man I didn't think I would die like this. There was still so much I wanted to do, graduate from UA, start up my business, create some amazing babies…" Hatsume then thought of Izuku, "I just wish I could have told Midoriya how I felt about him. He's been through a lot but yet he always pushed ahead, I guess that's one reason why I fell in love with him…."
As the timer reached 20 seconds Hatsume heard an all too familiar sound, with a loud boom Izuku appeared clad in his green lightning. "Hatsume!"
"Midoriya!" rushing towards her Izuku began to break the chains around her.
"Are you alright?" asked Izuku. "Did Melissa hurt you?"
Hatsume shook her head, "No, but she left a present." Raising her arm she showed Izuku the device strapped to her wrist. "Looks like a bomb to me."
Izuku inspected it, rushing over to one of the work stations he grabbed a screwdriver and managed to pry open the display. Underneath was a mess of wires intertwined with one another and in the center a small blue core. "What is this? I've never seen anything like this." said Hatsume.
"It must be future tech, damn I don't think I would be able to disarm it." said Izuku. Looking up, Izuku saw the fear in Hatsume's eyes. As the timer hit 15 seconds he grabbed Hatsume's hand, "Do you trust me?" he asked.
Hatsume was surprised but with a serious look she nodded, "With my life."
"Good," still holding her hand, Izuku began to vibrate his arm. He needed to somehow phaze through the device off of Hatsume while making sure she didn't get hurt. After a few seconds the device fell to the ground. "Got it!"
Picking it up Izuku saw the timer had hit 10 seconds, "Not much time, if this is a bomb I have to run it out of here. Even at my top speed I'm not sure I can clear the blast radius." Activating his speed, green lightning began to spark around Izuku. But just as he was about to leave Hatsume managed to touch his arm. As she touched him Hatsume noticed that things were slowed down around her.
Izuku turned, "What, Hatsume let me go."
"Wait, please. I have something to tell you." Pulling Izuku in Hatsume kissed him on the lips. After what felt like seconds but in reality was not even half a second they pulled away. "You better come back to me."
With a slight blush Izuku nodded, "I will."
With a loud KRAKOM! Izuku took off and ran toward the ocean. He needed to get far away from Japan and make sure there were no populated islands nearby. 'Since this bomb was from the future the yield should be greater than any nuke we have now.' Thought Izuku as he ran across the water. Now several hundred kilometers from Japan Izuku looked down at the device to see a time of 5 seconds left.
"It's now or never!" Throwing the device Izuku turned around and began to run away. The device hit the water and as it slowly began to sink into the sea the timer hit zero.
A massive explosion erupted from the water, the heat of the explosion was enough to evaporate the water. Izuku ran as the fireball was close behind him. "Come on, come on!" as he said that a bright light covered Izuku completely.
Down by the but Hatsume went outside just in time to see a massive fireball light up the horizon. "M-Midoriya!"
After a few seconds a mushroom cloud then appeared, followed by a green streak of lightning. "You called?" Asked Izuku as he stopped in front of Hatsume.
With tears in her eyes Hatsume smiled, "You dummy!" Throwing her arms around Izuku, the two embraced.
"I'm back Hatsume." Said Izuku as he held her tight.
"Well isn't this nice." Said a voice behind them. Turning they both saw Melissa standing in front of them. "Congratulations Izuku you managed to save Mei."
"Now it's time to take care of you." Said Izuku.
"Hmmm, I don't think so. But tell you what, I'll give you the same chance I gave the other you. Let's race." suggested Melissa. "First one to run around the earth 50 times and go back to the USJ wins. If you win I'll turn myself in, no fuss, no drama, no nothing."
Izuku stayed silent, "I don't like this Midoriya, what if it's a trap?" asked Hatsume.
"And what if you win?" asked Izuku.
Melissa smiled, "You die."
Izuku thought about it, he was actually thinking about racing Melissa. Only one problem, Izuku knew she was faster than him, could he really win or was that just a lost cause? Either way Izuku finally had a chance to take the person who killed his mom down. Taking a deep breath Izuku stepped forward, "Let's do this."
Hatsume was shocked, "Midoriya…"
"Very well, let's have Mei here meet us at the USJ. She can judge who wins. Sound fair to you?" asked Melissa.
Izuku nodded, "Yes," he then turned to Hatsume. "Come on, I'm taking you to the USJ."
However before they left Hatsume grabbed a tablet from her work station. "Alright, let's go."
In a flash Izuku picked up Hatsume and began to run towards the USJ. Within moments Izuku arrived outside the building, his entire class was outside waiting for the teachers to arrive. Stopping in front of them, Izuku put Hatsume down, "Midoriya! You made it back." said Mina, happy to see that her classmate was fine.
But that's when the class could see the serious face on Izuku, "I'll be back."
"Wait Midoriya, don't go." pleaded Hatsume. "If you lose you'll die. Please don't go."
"I have to Hatsume, this could be my one and only chance to get my dad out of prison." Said Izuku.
"What if you lose? What if you're not fast enough? What happens then? Please don't race her." Said Hatsume.
"Then that's what happens." Said Izuku. "I will win no matter what."
Hatsume was about to say something else when Bakugo grabbed her wrist. "There's no changing his mind, once the nerd decides he's going to do something he won't stop. You should know that."
Reluctantly Hatsume turned to Izuku, "You better win."
"Count on it." With a loud KRAKOM! Izuku took off towards the hut.
Within seconds Izuku appeared in front of Melissa. "It's about time, I was starting to think you ran off."
"Shut up and let's go. The faster I beat you the faster I get back to my friends." Said Izuku as he lined up at the shoreline.
Melissa smirked, "I can respect that."
The two now stood at the shoreline ready, "On go, 3…" Izuku closed his eyes. "2," Izuku then thought of his father. "1," before thinking about his mother. He needed to win for her, and he intended to. "Go!"
