Chapter 64: Provisional Exam (4)

{3rd Person POV}

"Let's start by going to the closest urban area! We'll work as a team as much as possible." Iida said as he ran ahead of everyone.

"It would be better if we split into different groups." Yaoyorozu said.

"It would be more effective to work as a small group and have communication between said groups." Todoroki also chimed in.

Stopping in her tracks, Yaoyorozu started to make ten walkie talkies. "Iida, Todoroki, Saiba, Tokoyami, take each, this is a rescue operation, so we need to work with other examinees. Let's establish a communication system. If, they already have their own communication, leave it at that."

She held one in her hand and gave the rest to the ones he called out.

"That's a good idea." Todoroki said as he took the walkie talkie.

"Thanks." Saying so, Saiba moved toward Bakugo who had a scowl on his face and said "Come one, we're going to save some people."

"Chet." Bakugo clicked his tongue. Chuckling at his reaction, Saiba called out "Kaminari, Kirishima, let's go."

Turning to his classmates, he continued "We'll be moving towards the mountain zone, good luck."

Saying that Saiba started to run towards his destination, along with Kirishima, Kaminari and a reluctant Bakugo.

"I'll be heading towards the river where I can use my abilities to the best." Asui said.

"I'm going with her." Todoroki and Hagakure left with Asui.

Like that, the U.A. students started to go to different zones for their rescue operation.

Yaoyorozu looked at Jiro, Sero, Sato and Uraraka who were staying with her and said "Jiro, search for any citizens. The rest of us need to clear the debris for proper search."

"Alright!" They replied in unison, and went into work.

Yaoyorozu who was supervising them and making things that are required for the rescue op, made sure to keep the information that the villain was among them at the back of her head.

As they were working, a voice was heard from the walkie talkie [This is Grand. There's a first aid station and temporary evacuation area at the front. Get the injured over there. Karna, gave this walkie talkie to us.]

"Understood." Yaoyorozu and the ones who had the walkie talkie.

Slowly, the rescue operation started to flow in a smooth manner thanks to the communication system established by the walkie talkies and other examinees using their quirks in an efficient way.

The H.U.C members who saw the rescue operation going smoothly were satisfied with it. Some were given negative points too, an example being Inasa.

At the mountain zone, as soon as they reached there, Saiba said "There's four people stuck on the trail."

"Only four." Kirishima said.

"How did you sense that?" Kaminari asked as they started to climb the mountain.

"Built-in scanner for detecting life in a given area. You should try, it will come in handy one day." Saiba told him.

"Wow, cool!"

"S-someone... Please!" A shout was heard from the front.

As the four of them approached where the citizen was, Bakugo only took one look and was about to shout. But a slap to the back of his head made him stop and glare at Saiba.

Not minding the glare, Saiba told him "Say in a calm manner."

"Chet." Looking down at the couple who were some feet below them, Bakugo said "You guys don't have any serious injuries. Go in that direction, there's a first aid station and evacuation centre over there."

Looking back at him, the H.U.C members said "Good, but you should try to be more accommodating to the injured."

"Red Riot, lead them to the evacuation centre." Saiba told Kirishma.

"Yosh." Jumping down, Kirishima led them towards the evacuation centre.

"Let's move on." Saying so, Saiba moved towards the last two members of H.U.C.

*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*

Before the three of them could reach where the two members were, explosions started in their area.

"AHHHH." Screaming, Kaminari tried to run backwards, but was held by Saiba, who took out the walkie talkie and said "Guy's. There's a villain attack, make sure to cooperate with other students to take them down, while securing the citizens."

[Roger!] A flurry of replies was heard in an instant.

Pocketing the walkie talkie, Saiba said "Both of you can go all out. I'll get the citizens."

Before they could retort, Saiba disappeared from the area leaving Kaminari with Bakugo.

Saiba moved towards where the citizens were while an announcement was heard [There has been a large scale terrorist attack by villains.]

[IT'S GANG ORCA!!!] Someone shouted through the comms.

[He's strong, you know. He's currently at number ten! By the way, he's third in the ranking of heroes who look like villains!]

Making his way through the trail, he found two members from H.UC. Looking at them he asked "Are you two alright? Are there any injuries or pain?"

"M-my head is throbbing." One of them replied.

"I can't move my leg." The other one said.

Checking them out by placing his hand on their head and leg he said "It's a minor concussion, don't worry. As for you, your leg is fine, it's just due to fear. So don't worry. I'll be taking you guys to the evacuation centre. Hold onto me."

Then in one fell swoop, he picked up both of them and rushed towards the area where Gang Orca was. He maintained his pace in order for them to be comfortable.

Within a few seconds, he reached the evacuation centre and gave the ones who he saved to a few students who were evacuating the others from the area.

Cracking his neck, he went forward and saw Inasa and Shoto firing at Gang Orca at the same time. Sighing, Saiba picked up his speed and reached where both of them were and shouted at them "YOU WACKJOBS! IF YOU GUYS DON'T COOPERATE, THE CITIZENS WILL BE HIT WITH STRAYS!"

His shouting caused Inasa and Shoto to stop their next attack. Looking at them through his mask "Now work together." Saying so, he jumped straight towards Gang Orca and punched him, which made the No. 10 hero slide back a few inches. 'He's strong!' Ganga Orca was surprised by the power behind the punch.

Before he could reciprocate a punch, Saiba retreated from Gang Orca, at the same time, Grand who had been acting like he was out cold placed his hand on the ground and shouted "GO DOWN YOU VILLAINS!!"

The earth beneath Gang Orca and his minions cracked and they sank half a foot to the ground.

'He noticed him?' Before he could complete his thoughts, he was engulfed in a firestorm.

Looking at Todoroki and Inasa, Gang Orca thought 'Combination attack. Very good. But this won't stop me.'

Reeling back, he sent a sonic attack towards Inasa and Shoto. But before it reached them, another sonic attack came from Saiba and cancelled it out.

Pouring some water on his head, Gang Orca thought 'He's good.'

Turning back he saw that his minions were being taken down by the combined attack of the other students.

*Rangggggg*

Right then, the alarm rang indicating the exam was over, and announcement was followed up [At this moment, all the H.U.C. who were deployed have been rescued from the danger zone. It may seem arbitrary, but with this, all the provisional licensing exam procedures have been completed. After we tally the scores, we will announce the results here. Those who were injured should go to the infirmary. The rest of you should change and then stand by.]

As the announcement ended, the ones who came with Gang Orca approached him and said "Boss, sorry, we couldn't do our job. These restraining protectors really make it hard to move, huh?"

"No, even without the protectors, the spiral flame was excellent. And the counter attack from Saiba along with the surprise attack from Shindo were powerful ones." Saying so, Gang Orca looked at the disappearing backs of the new generation heroes, and smiled.

Saiba was escorted towards a room, where Aizawa and Mera were sitting along with a man with red wings.

Sitting down on the chair that was empty, Saiba looked at Mera and the man with wings, who was sitting there leisurely.

Looking at Saiba, Mera said "We apprehend the villain. How did you figure out that she was a villain?"

Saiba looked at Mera, then Aizawa nodded at him. Getting the confirmation, Saiba siad "Well, my classmate, Midoriya ran into Camie from Shiketsu High, or to be precise, she attacked him. He told us her quirk was shapeshifting and said that but when I spoke with Inasa he told me her quirk was something else. And one of the villains from the attack at the training camp took the blood of my classmate, Uraraka. She approached Midoriya as Uraraka. So, I speculated.``

"Your speculation is correct. Her name is Himiko Toga and she can turn into anyone after ingesting their blood." Mera said. Sighing, he said as he got up "I'm heading out. I need to announce the results, and by the way, congrats on passing the exam."

After Mera left the room, Hawks said "Thanks to you we got one of them in our custody. Anyway..... as you have gotten your provisional licence, I know that there's a time and place for this, but let's forget all those. I'm inviting you to do your work studies with me."

Aizawa raised an eyebrow and said "You can officially send an invitation to him through the proper channels."

"I know, I know." Hawks said, chuckling.

Smiling at Hawks, Saiba said "Thanks for the invitation, but if I have to be an intern again then I have someone on my mind."

Aizawa was surprised at that, so was Hawks. Placing his hands under his chin, Hawks asked "If you don't mind, who might that be?"
