34 First Round 2

After the match between Iida and Mei, even though he somewhat became a model for Mei to showcase her 'Babies' as she called it, it ended with the victory of Iida after Mei gave up.

The next match was from Class 1A. Haruto Kageyama vs. Mina Ashido.

As their names were called, both Mina and Haruto entered the stage.

Looking at both of them, Midnight asked, "Are you ready?"

"Yes," both of them replied.

"Then let's start!"

As soon as the signal was given, Mina started throwing acids from her hands at Haruto and, at the same time, produced acid from her feet to slide across the concrete.

Haruto, on the other hand, showed his incredible acrobat moves by moving his body away from the incoming acid at the last moment accurately. This minute detail was not missed by the top pro heroes who were present to see the match.

"What's happening??? Haruto is not fighting back against Mina!! Is he mocking her Eraser?" Present Mic asked Eraser Head, who was unfortunately the co-commentator.

To Mic's question, Eraser Head replied, "He's not mocking her at all. From what I've seen till now and in the class, he's a guy who knows what he does, and he's not that arrogant enough to do mocking on stage."

All the audience was still thinking that he was just messing with her. But suddenly Present Mic says, "What's he doing?!!!" hearing this all if they looked at what Haruto was doing and saw that he was saying something to Mina and she was making new moves and attacking Haruto, but he still dodged them all.

After almost two minutes, Haruto spoke towards Mina, "I'm making my move."

After saying that, he squatted down, jumped up, and dove straight towards where Mina was staying.

As he was nearing her, Mina created a protective layer of acid as a shield around her.

But that was useless, because as soon as he touched down near her, a small shock wave was formed, and Mina was thrown out of the bounds.

"Mina Ashido out of bounds, Haruto Kageyama wins!!" Midnight was announced as Mina was out of bounds.

After getting the announcement, Haruto came down from the stage and went towards the waiting room instead of towards the seats reserved for Class 1A.

As Mina reached the seats where class 1A was sitting, Tsui asked her, "What did Haruto say to you during the fight? Ribbit?"

"Ah... that? He just gave me some tips on how to use my Quirk effectively."

"Is that what you did there?" Jiro asked her.

"Yep, he said to try to make my acid more viscous, lessen the acidity and truly make it like a web so that I could capture my opponents. And I tried that, but he just dodged all of them."

Hearing this, Shoto contemplated about what Haruto said to him and Fumikage befor the first round began.

Present Mic introduces Fumikage and Momo to the crowd for the sixth match of the first round. The match suddenly begins and catches Momo off-guard. Fumikage immediately calls on Dark Shadow to attack. Momo defends herself by creating a shield. She tries to create a polearm, but Dark Shadow circles back around and strikes her shield before she can focus on her Quirk. Dark Shadow swings by again and knocks the shield off Momo's arm.

Momo creates another shield and Dark Shadow rams it, knocking her back. The onslaught from Dark Shadow mysteriously stops, confusing Momo. She creates a pole on her arm to take the offensive, but Midnight reveals that Momo has been knocked out of bounds without her realizing it. Momo looks down to see her foot slide out of bounds and Midnight announces Fumikage is the victor.

Fumikage recalls Dark Shadow before bowing to show his respect to Momo and leaving the stage. Present Mic comments that their fight was another fast and overwhelming victory during the tournament. Momo laments her defeat, knowing she was unable to showcase any of her talents.

After that match ended with Fumikage as the winner, Momo ran up to him and asked, "What's bothering you so much?"

"That. Well it's best if you come with me." Saying that Fumikage started to move towards the waiting room area where Haruto went. Seeing Fumikage going to Haruto, Shoto stood up and followed him. Momo, who has been following Fumikage, was not that surprised to see Shoto coming with them. Because she had this feeling like something had happened between Fumikage, Shoto and Haruto.

As soon as they reached the waiting room, Shoto opened the door and saw Haruto sitting on chair with his head resting on the table.

Seeing him just taking a nap, Shoto went ahead and woke him up.

As Haruto opened his eyes and saw three of his best friends surrounding him, he asked, "What's up?"

"What you said before... " Shoto began, but his sentence was finished by Fumikage "Is it true?"

Looking at both his friends eyes, he could see that they found out what he meant by those questions and answered Fumikage's question, "Yes."

Momo, who have no idea, looking at the three of them, asked, "What are you guy's talking about?"

Shoto and Fumikage looked at Haruto and he nodded, so they started to tell everything from one to Momo.

In the meantime, at the stage, the next matches started.

Eijiro and Tetsutetsu run at each other with their Quirks active before planting their feet and colliding fists. Eijiro punches Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu and immediately returns the attack. They taunt each other back and forth while trading Quirk-enhanced, hardened blows.

The two hard-headed heroes in training continue to break through each other's defenses and strike one another until they knock each other out at the exact same time. Midnight announces that they're both down and the battle ends in a draw. She decides that the outcome will be decided following the end of the first round via an arm wrestling contest.

After they were moved out of the stage via strecher, Present Mic announced the participants of the final fight of the first round, from Class 1A Katsuki Bakugo and Ochaco Uraraka.
