My_Random_Quirk_System_Manual.pdf

[This system is still in test phase, do not use it in any circumstances, let our professional workers test the different aspects before use.]

"........" Naoyuki.

[Failed tests: 143]

"........"

[Current tester: Eto Naoyuki]

"?????"

'When did I become your professional worker?!' Naoyuki shouted inside. 'I don't even have the proper training!'

'The trade union won't like this!'

'And what happened to the previous testers! Did they die? Tell me!' The little boy shook the scream violently, but no matter how upset he was, the system didn't respond to his aggressions.

Naoyuki just broke down emotionally, this was not what he was expecting from his second life.

Without other alternative, he started flipping pages to read the manual.

----------

After a while, Naoyuki finally understood the system in its majority. How it worked, and how it didn't work compared to what he knows from novels and comics.

The foundations of this system are the random quirk that renews every day at 7 am. That was something Naoyuki already know, but the interesting part are the hero points of this systems, which principal income are from the quirks themselves.

The system qualifies quirks depending on its destructive power, impact to the society, practicality, handling difficulty, growth, and other rubrics, from F to S.

The F-class quirks give just 1 hero point; E-class a little bit more, 3 points; D-class gives 7; C-class gives 20; B-class gives 50; A-class gives 100; and the S-class quirks gives an impressive number of 500 hero points— 500 times more than the F-class quota.

The employment of these points can bring fruitful results if they are used properly. Among the many features of them, the hero points can transform a temporal quirk into a real one.

The cost of it is 1000 hero points, no matter if this quirk is S-class or F-class, as long as you pay the points that day, this quirk will become part of your arsenal.

But this way of handling definitely has its disadvantages, if in a day a A-class or S-class quirk is randomized, and you don't have enough points, you may say good bye to that quirk forever. After all, the price to remedy is excessively high.

And that's what the second part is about. To select a quirk you had before, and transform it into a real quirk, you'll need to pay 100 time the number of hero point that that quirk gave you (F=100 hp, E=300 hp, D=700 hp, C=2,000 hp, B=5,000 hp, A=10,000 hp and S=50,000 hp).

In this case, it is more convenient to buy the F, E and D class quirks the day after you get it randomly.

Also, having various quirks in your disposition doesn't mean that you can use them all at your will, the host is restricted to use only one quirk per day, if he has a permanent quirk, he'll have to choose between that or the random quirk (gives points) at 7:00 am every morning.

To be able to use two quirks at the same time, the host will need to pay to unluck a Quirk slot. The first time it will cost 1,000 hero points, second time 5,000 hp, third time 10,000 hp, and all the next occasions will cost 50,000 hero points.

How much is that?

The answer is 137 years of F-class quirks.

The only good news is that the unlocked slots can generate hero points from the random quirks as well, so the process may not be so long.

Other than that, if the host doesn't like, or finds useless the current quirk, he can spend 10 hero points to refresh (change) the current quirk to another one (either random, or from your arsenal), the second time you do that in the same day will cost 100 points, the next time 1,000 points, and so on.

--------

But just accumulating points from everyday can be tedious, and slow to reach your objectives. So, there are other alternatives to earn hero points.

Doing quests given by the system is one of them. They are divided by Main tasks, daily tasks, and surprise tasks (spontaneous). The awards for these tasks are hero points, body attributes, random objects, wheel of fortune opportunity, etc.

From that, you may have realized, that the hero points can't be used to improve your body attributes. The tasks are the only solution:

The 'Main tasks' usually have a higher award than other type of quests, and from the description of the manual, they always involve at least one character from the original anime or manga, and it also includes punishments if the mission is not completed.

The kind of punishment was not explained, and Naoyuki doesn't like that.

The other type of tasks are the 'Daily tasks', they are easy to do, have no punishment, and never takes more than a day to be carried out.

Finally, the 'Surprise tasks', the manual just mentioned that they were a combination of the two other types of tasks, and appears when the host do some kind of interaction with his surroundings.

Again, blurry explanation.

-------

Other than hero points and tasks, the manual also explained the other parts of the system:

'Inventory', it is where the host can save all the thing given by the system. But contrary to others isekai anime, videogames, manhwas, manhuas, comics, etc. Naoyuki can't use his inventory as backpack. Actually, once the objects from the 'inventory' are taken out, they can't be put back.

Sucks, but this is how it works.

'History' is where you can have access to your former quirks, and same where you 'buy' quirks. It includes a search engine, so, as long as you remember the name of that quirk, you can find it right away.

But as said before, just the name and class of the quirk is in 'History'.

No description is written.

Cheap system without a doubt.

....

And at last, 'Wheel of fortune', this is the mechanism where the host can get really great things. It can bring all but not just objects, abilities, living beings, technology, knowledge and powers, from other worlds.

The things you can get here are so random as the quirk system itself, you can get pinch of dust, or an Infinity Gem, it all depends on your luck.

--------

And more or less, that was all the content of the manual, apparently there where more pages, but for some reason, they remained locked, it indicates that Naoyuki needs to achieve some kind requirement, but it either explains what are those achievements.

So, Naoyuki is still a little lost.

'Geeez, again with that locking thing, this manual was supposed to explain me everything, why I have more questions now?'

Naoyuki threw himself on the bed, for now, there's no much he can do, to get a real quirk he'll need at least 100 hero points, but even so, he doesn't want to waste his precious points on useless quirks like [Flying fingers].

His first ability quirk must be at least B-class or A-class, to make the points worth. That's what Naoyuki have in mind.

Of course, to accumulate the amount of 1,000 points, it could take him more than 2 years, or maybe just 2 days… who knows what will happen.

-------

Suddenly, a person opened the door.

Naoyuki poked his head out to see.

It was his mother, whose name Naoyuki still didn't know.

The woman was wearing a marine blue blouse that combines well with her marble color jeans. By her juvenile loose hair, no one would imagine that the beautiful lady was actually the mother of a four years old kid.

Naoyuki hasn't seen his biological father yet, but the handsome face of this body was without hesitation inherited from his mother. Just to give you an idea of how shocking was his beauty, he was as handsome as the readers of this novel.

"Good morning, Nao-chan, are you hungry?" the woman greeted Naoyuki.

"Yes." He answered robotically.

"Don't worry, we'll go to breakfast now. Did you brush your teeth yet?"

"Yes."

"Oh, how did you sleep last night?"

"Yes."

"......"

"Pfffff." Naoyuki couldn't help laugh, then the mother realized that Naoyuki did that intentionally.

"Don't joke with okasan like that!" And after, she started laughing too.

-------

Both had a small talk, a talk with more joy than yesterday.

Because of the more cheerful expression of Naoyuki, the woman was more contented too.

Yesterday, Naoyuki gave her the feeling like if he was lifeless. The responses were too serious to be a kid, and his look was cold and unfamiliar.

The onigirazus she brought him either changed his mood, usually 'Naoyuki' would be happy just by seeing them, and just ask for more no matter how full he was.

The kid didn't ask her for anything either, and that was the weirdest thing. As the mother, she knows how restless can be her son, and just sitting there for hours watching TV was not proper of his kid.

Especially what he was watching, it wasn't cartoon or some hero's thing, he was watching news, reality shows, old movies, kitchen program and even watched adds like if they were some sort of important thing, when the nurse told her that, she couldn't even believe it.

But the woman knew that his kid was not mad at her, because Naoyuki even shared his food with her before even worrying about eating, and he showed preoccupation multiple times when she dropped tears.

Maybe there was something bothering him, the frustration of the memory lost could be one of them. That was what the mother thought.

But now, Naoyuki looked better, his laugh might not be as open as it used to be, and his expressions were very controlled, but he might just need some more time. As mother, she can wait no matter how long.

--------

The woman delivered Naoyuki a change of clothes. From her words, she already finished the discharge procedures, and he was ready to go.

Naoyuki was of course enthusiastic of the news, even not counting yesterday, he had stayed in hospital for a complete month, he died in one actually, so, why would he want to stay more time in such place?

He was glad to finally say good bye to the constant smell of medical alcohol, that his cloths were changed in matter of seconds.

'Good bye to you too, disgusting robe, wearing you was like having a fan in my nuts,'

And taking the hand of his mother, they both went out of the hospital, aimed at the parking lot.

Where a thin man was waiting them outside of a car.
