"Those who don't know pain...don't know peace." - Eren Yeager-Attack On Titan
While Izuku as Thanatos was convincing the immobilized guards to retaliate.
The party's last guest left the venue, their laughter echoing in the now-dim hall. Kaito and his team, cloaked in shadows, held their breath. The air crackles with tense anticipation, a stark contrast to the recent carefree revelry. Music fades to a silent hum, replaced by an unnerving silence broken only by the distant clinking of the wall clock.
Miyuki, oblivious to the predatory eyes watching her, lingers with her colleagues, tired smiles masking a dawning unease. She glances around the emptying room, the misplaced vase on a deserted table sending a shiver down her spine. Something feels off, the air heavy with unseen tension. Call it a female's intuition or anything but she felt things weren't right, but she just shrugged it saying, "Must be the alcohol,"
Kaito's eyes harden. "Akari," he murmurs, his voice a razor in the silence. "Time to strike." the rest nod, his movements honed by Akari's brutal guerrilla training. Surprise attacks, swift and decisive, would be their key to victory.
Miyuki and her colleagues, still buzzing from the party's alcohol and loosened inhibitions, are perfect targets. Their guard is down, their senses dulled. Tonight, they are at their most vulnerable.
And as taught, Kaito's team disperses, shadows flitting across the walls, their plan unfolds. Guards silently take positions, sealing every exit. Small, remote devices – Akari's ingenious touch-sensitive bombs which are discreetly placed on potential escape routes, ticking time bombs waiting to be triggered.
Just as the last person had gone out of the compound, with a flick of his wrist, Kaito activates the signal jammers in his pocket.
Akari's creation effectively severs all communication within the compound, a digital iron curtain silencing any cry for help. The mansion becomes a sealed box, the world outside oblivious to the drama unfolding within.
Kaito raises his hand. Kaito's men emerge from the darkness, eyes glinting with a cold purpose. The party mood shatters, replaced by the sharp crack of knuckles and the glint of drawn blades. Kaito's voice cuts through the sudden chaos, a predator's growl in the night. "The hunt begins."
Their plan had unfolded like a venomous spider's web, each thread leading to this moment of entrapment. Now, their targets faced them, unaware of the cornered and desperate, as they prepared to deliver the final blow.
Kaito the group's captain had a quirk called Captain's Command: which allowed the user to paralyse anyone who made eye contact with him when the quirk was active.
Kaito's eyes flash with a piercing blue light when activated, momentarily freezing anyone who meets his gaze in a state of paralyzed obedience. This "command stare" is incredibly effective for incapacitating criminals or coordinating his squad during high-pressure situations. However, it has a cool-down time after every use depending on the strength of the opponent and how much mental strain it has on the user, as well as overuse can cause migraines and temporary vision loss for Kaito.
Using his quirk he decided to immobilize Miyuki first as her quirk was quite dangerous.
Miyuki's quirk is called Siren's Kiss, with which she can manipulate her targets.
Miyuki's lips emit a pheromone-laced aura that subtly influences the emotions of those around her, making them infatuated and eager to please. This is perfect for extracting information or manipulating suspects, but Miyuki must be careful not to abuse her power or become emotionally entangled with those she affects
She probably used her quirk to manipulate the investigation.
Kaito had realized it, so he knew he needed to get rid of Miyuki first, he felt the telltale prickle on his skin, the edge of Miyuki's aura brushing against him. A shimmering haze, barely perceptible, yet pulsating with the promise of sluggish limbs and dulled minds. If they got caught in its full grip, surprise would shatter like glass.
He couldn't risk it. A silent prayer for the attack to succeed flitted through his mind as he lunged, a viper striking from the shadows. His hand darted out, fingers brushing Miyuki's chin before snapping shut over her eyes. The world around her dissolved into darkness, punctuated only by the frantic thump of her heart against his palm. In that breathless instant, Kaito knew the element of surprise, their mission's lifeblood, was his.
While Kaito took down Miyuki, others had also picked their targets,
Kenji who has the quirk Seismic Fist:
Kenji's punches generate powerful shockwaves that can shatter concrete and send enemies flying. He needs to build up momentum for a truly devastating blow, making him a close-quarters specialist. The quirk can also cause tremors and minor earthquakes if used recklessly.
He picked Hana whose quirk is Empathy Surge:
Hana can amplify the emotions of those around her, turning joy into euphoria, fear into panic, and anger into rage. This is a powerful tool for interrogations or crowd control, but Hana must be careful not to trigger emotional meltdowns or incite violence.
The advantage of Kenji over Hana is Kenji's raw power from Seismic Fist could overpower Hana's amplified emotions, especially if Kenji catches her off guard, which he was able to with the surprise attack
Takeshi whose quirk is Bulletweave:
Takeshi can manipulate the trajectory of bullets in mid-air, bending them around corners or deflecting them back at attackers. This makes him an invaluable asset in firefights, but the quirk requires intense focus and can be mentally taxing.
He picked Aiko whose quirk is Illusion Mirage:
Aiko can cast realistic illusions that distort reality and misdirect her opponents. She can create decoys of herself, conjure up holographic environments, or even make objects appear or disappear. This makes her a master of deception and evasion, but her illusions can be dispelled by strong light or physical contact.
The Advantage of Takeshi's quirk over Aiko is that Takeshi's bullet manipulation could disrupt Aiko's illusions by deflecting any projectiles used to create them. Aiko
Hiro whose quirk is Tech-Sense:
Hiro has an innate understanding of any technology he comes into contact with. He can disable security systems, reprogram robots, and even hotwire vehicles with a touch. This makes him a master of infiltration and gadgetry, but his reliance on technology can be a weakness if it's disabled, and his powers aren't on the level of Izuku's quirk.
He picked Reina whose quirk is Beauty Blades:
Reina's fingernails transform into razor-sharp daggers when she channels her emotions. The more intense the emotion, the sharper and stronger the blades become. This makes her a formidable close-quarters combatant, but Reina must be wary of losing control of her emotions in the heat of battle.
The Advantage of Hiro's quirk over Reina's is that Hiro's tech manipulation could potentially disable Reina's Beauty Blades by attacking her with electrical appliances making loud noises making her unable to focus to use her quirk.
Hiro could have used his quirk to jam the communications, but his quirk was very weak and he couldn't do two things that is fight and jam the signals so Akari told her to focus on the fight while he gave them a jammer which would block all signals.
With each having their targets set, and cornered the hunt began
