CHAPTER 11
"Lexus, sorry to bother you. It's just that I need you to confirm me something."
Lexus was not bothered nor annoyed, in fact it was the opposite. At first, he thought Lily needs an extra service which he will gladly execute, but it turns out, she only wanted something to be confirmed. A little disappointed but still he was happy about the visit.
The truth, he was dead tired and wanted to sleep badly. His master visited him, and he didn't have a heart to reject her if she needed his service. (literal or figurative)
If she is going to ask a question, then he'll answer it honestly as long as he knows it. "No, master, it's a pleasure to have you here."
"Do I have a mother?" she spares no pleasantries, Lily immediately ask what she was here for. This question is bugging her head every minute, and she can't even work properly. When she was on her office, she always thinks about it.
"Um… yes, master. You have one." Lexus was baffled, why she asks him such a question she already knew.
Is this her excuse to see me? This realization made him smile, which Lily finds creepy.
"Hmm…sleep and bring this to the boy. Tomorrow, accompany me to my mother." The girl hands the bag of money. After ordering and giving him the coins, Lily stands up and was about to leave when Lexus spoke."Master, you are always welcome here." even without knocking.
He wanted to make it clear to her, he didn't need excuses. She can say it directly, if she wants it, he will give it.
"I know, this is my mansion." She refutes plainly, stating the fact. Lily didn't pry on what Lexus really mean, the girl had enough brain-wrecking questions in her head that needed explanation.
Thud.
Urghh. I'm so tired. But inside he was jumping in joy.
This? He touched the pouch full of coins. It seems he can now validate his doubt regarding the mysterious energy he felt back in that house, more like that cottage.
First, let's sleep, my eyes almost come out of its sockets. Did master sucks my energy again? We didn't have sex, how come? She's so energetic lately and her mood improved a lot. Is that guy … no way!
Tsk.
Ah. Sighed
If my guess is right, then… I needed to keep master away from that man at all cost, I will find another way to cure her. After everything I sacrificed, I won't accept it. I won't lose her, not a chance.
Curse you witch!
If only you just cursed her and didn't add some kind of divination in it, then I can still bear it, but that witch didn't. What a pain.
About that bastard crown prince, I will beat him into pulp if he did ugly things to master. They had a private meeting, and it irks me, not just a little, but a lot. They are over, and he can't move-on from that? His naivety had jumbled his mind, I think, making him a complete fool.
If it's me? Well~ I would do the same, if it's master. I shouldn't be thinking about him. That bastard crown prince, he is a nuisance between me and master's relation.
While Lexus keeps on complaining, Lily went back to the parlor room. She forgot to escort the crown prince back. She might be cold and indifferent, but at least she will show some respect in honoring the prince by escorting him. She stood in front of the big, wide door, it was opened by the guards for her.
Inside, the prince sat on the chair looking at her direction. His expression is blank, and she can't decipher what is on his mind. The girl approached him. He watched her moving towards his way, emotionless.
"You came back, why?" he asks. It was a stupid question. He was hurt by her words! Okay? So it's fair to know the reason. Amaranth wanted Lily to confront him, asking his forgiveness, but it was the opposite.
"Crown prince, I'm here to bring you back home. You're troublesome." He expected her answer to be negative, but it was way worse than he imagined. Really? You hated me that much? "Okay." At least he gets to ride with her in the same carriage.
At the gate.
"Lily, look I. I'm sorry about umm…" he apologizes. Instead of waiting for the word 'I'm sorry', he should better apologize first. It was his fault anyway, she was just stating the fact that they are over.
"Yes, don't do that again, or next time I'll kill you for good." She could be condemned for treason for threatening a royal member, but he knew he was at fault, and why would he want to see her being hanged and guillotined? Of course no.
"Hmm. Okay. I'm sorry. I was just angry, so angry at that time. I'm so sorry." It was sincere, he won't do it again.
"Okay, now get inside." Geez she's always like this. I wish she could just say, 'I already forgive you, shall we?' but nah she's so indifferent and doesn't know how to read moods.
On their journey, they didn't talk too much. Lily took a nap, whereas Amaranth only stared at her peaceful figure.
-She's cute. He unknowingly reaches his gloved hand towards her face. Sensing that someone is attempting to touch her, the once sleeping girl opened her eyes and caught the naughty hand that is about a mere inch from her face.
"Can't you keep your hands to yourself?" she glares at the man.
Damn it! He absent-mindedly did things again. "Ah. There's a mosquito near your face.'' Nice excuse, Amaranth, you sound like a fool.
She didn't snoop at his reason, she only frowns at him as if hitting him that he is stupid.
