The moment he fired his gun, not only was the gun not as noisy, he actually hit the shooter dead in the chest, which caused a hole to appear in his chest. "Ay, AJ is dead! Drive, drive, drive!" the other passenger yelled, and the driver listened by driving away. However, Henry wasn't willing to let them go as he shot after them, aiming for the tires, which he shot out, causing the car to swerve and hit the next building, crashing. Henry then approached the car, which started to smoke as the shooters began to crawl out, all bloody. But that's when someone stood over them. As they looked up, they saw Henry standing over them. "Hey, ah, Alchemist. You, ah, don't have to do this, man—" but Henry wasn't willing to listen as he shot the driver in the head, blowing a hole through his skull. Suddenly, a large number of gunshots, jet engines, and tanks could be heard.

Chapter 13

In the middle of New York City, a confused Henry looked at the sea of army soldiers, driving their tanks as they fired at something. "What the fuck," he muttered, confused. Initially, he thought they were after him, but that didn't seem to be the case as something large roared in an inhuman voice. "Oh shit," he exclaimed, currently on the ground, as he watched the thing the army was firing at burst through a building. The creature was huge, nearly 4 meters tall, made of green muscles with its spine protruding from its back. It was grotesque. However, Henry had a sparkle in his eyes as he thought, "Oh my god." His mouth agape, thousands of thoughts flashed through his head.

"I want it." Immediately, the sparkles in his eyes were replaced by greed as he thought, "I can definitely create a 5th-grade potion with that thing's blood, bones, or flesh." The more he thought of it, the greedier he got. *ROAR* As if hearing his thoughts, the abomination roared as the army fired more shots at it—missiles and heavy artillery. "No, not unless I want to get crushed into a pancake." Just because he was greedy didn't mean he had a death wish; far from it. He backed away from the site, his mind racing with thoughts. "Maybe a governmental experiment that escaped," he guessed as he watched the abomination tear through the army.

"It may be their attempt at recreating the super soldier serum." With Captain America being so famous, he and many others knew of the SSS, which grants someone superhuman feats and is, of course, a goal of Henry's to obtain similar capabilities. Suddenly, as Henry was continuing to run the other way, a large stone whizzed past his head, crushing a car behind him, causing his heart to beat loudly as he nearly died. Turning around, he saw the abomination tearing through cars, heading his way. Henry looked behind before turning around, and the abomination was still running towards him. Thinking quickly, he took out a test tube with red liquid stored in the most secure part of his belt with extra armor on, as the potions there were one of a kind.

This potion was acquired purely by chance due to his potion synthesis skill. It wasn't made using a 4th-grade material but rather 3rd-grade plants. It was one of the four fourth-grade potions he had in his belt, and they were the ones he treasured the most. Yet, despite treasuring them so much, he didn't hesitate to use them. After all, they would not do him any good if he was dead. The moment he drank the potion, he immediately felt the changes occurring, especially the energy boost. He felt energized, and his focus took a drastic change as everything nearly slowed down. He noticed the changes caused by his increased physical performance as he then turned around and ran. He ran faster than any normal human could, well normal human, jumping over rubble, dodging panicked people, as well as destroyed cars. The smoke coming from the cars and buildings didn't help either.

While running, Henry felt amazing, almost euphoric, and it felt good, but his mood immediately changed when he turned around to see the abomination just a couple of yards away. "The fuck?" He immediately cut a corner into the alleyway next to him, causing the abomination to continue running as it was carried by momentum. Meanwhile, Henry climbed over the wall at the end of the alleyway with ease before climbing to the rooftop with even greater ease. "You've got me fucked up if you think I went to the Prometheus school of running away from things," he laughed as he then looked down from the side of the rooftop. There, he saw someone being yeeted by the abomination as it ran towards something. "What the fuck is it running towards?" he asked himself as he chased the thing to see what it was interested in.

When he arrived at where the abomination stopped, Henry saw what it was interested in, which turned out to be another green giant. Except this giant was more human-looking, with black hair and purple pants, but it was a bit smaller than the abomination. "There are two of them," his surprise grew as the two giants immediately ran towards each other. Just as they collided, a visible shockwave could be seen, breaking some of the unbroken windows on the buildings and cars. However, their clash didn't end there as they traded blows, but the abomination seemed to have the advantage. The green giant grabbed the abomination from behind only to be stabbed by the abomination's natural weaponry, its bones, making the green giant bleed.

The green giant then ignored the pain before it suplexed the abomination to the ground, driving its head deeper into the ground. But the abomination didn't seem to receive much damage as it punched the green giant, sending it flying before the abomination went after it. "Great, they are gone," Henry muttered as he jumped from the rooftop he was on, having watched the two fight. Arriving at the scene where the abomination was suplexed, Henry, with his speed potion still effective, decided to search the rubble in this war zone, looking for something. That's when he paused as he picked up a stone. Judging by the wide grin on his face, he seemed to have found what he wanted. "Hhhhhhhhhh," Henry laughed and laughed as he looked at the status screen of the new material he had just found.
